  1. It's times like these you learn to pull out again
  2. My money is on Esperanto making a comeback.
  3. It's one of those movies that I will just put on when I intend to fall asleep soon. Decent "bad" movie is a perfect description. They obviously were toying with a romantic sub-plot but it never really materialized. But she was a smokeshow imo. I was talking this morning with a dude from Lutsk, who is now in Denmark, and I sent the snippet where Banderas is "listening". He said he recognized some words. Interestingly, I thought English was a notoriously difficult language to learn. He said Danish is harder.
  4. Holy shit I thought I was the only one to have seen that movie. I cannot lift this. Grow stronger! I intend to one day read Eaters of the Dead.
  5. You guys wanna get a beer for the LSU game?
  6. Inka I quoted your response by mistake. I was taking issue with calling Hamas a state military.
  7. Hamas is not a military. They are a gang holding their people hostage. My grandfather almost got a bullet in the back of the head. This is close to me as well. What would the US do? What will the US do now? ***nvm Inka I quoted the wrong post. Well this seems harsh lol.
  8. Rex, I get you. Ideally a group of Palestinians would rise up and dethrone the bad actors. But that would most likely mean their death and the death of their family. It's a real shitshow. Inka is a good dude btw.
  9. Consider all reports bullshit. I'll save y'all a bunch of time and money and let you know that Toyota and Honda and their derivatives are the best. I wish they made sexier and faster cars but this is the truth. You are welcome. Can we get back to what Elon is doing? Is he in Austin currently? What is Grimes up to?
  10. Ram trucks are a good value. Lot of bells and whistles for the price when compared to GMC or Ford. Initially on paper it looks good. I've had a couple. That said their long term reliability is trash. I will never own another one despite whatever holding company currently owns them. I loved my Jeeps but the quality was dogshit.
  11. You are correct. But people do shitty things regardless. My ire is focused on people who leave kids in a car running in to get a coffee and make a return or whatever. Yes it is illegal. My heart goes out to parents who have accidentally left a child in the car because their routine was unexpectedly interrupted, or some emergency issue at work had them distracted, or any number of things. They left their child in a car seat. I can't imagine anything more heart-wrenching. Sorry for the thread hijack. I just wanted to share my CT experience. Let's get back to Elmo.
  12. Sorry I have not kept up on the shitbird history. And being wrong in this scenario I happily embrace. The dig is not against Tesla so much as lazy human nature. Last summer I was two second away from busting a window for a dog that had been roasting for twenty minutes. Cops showed up at the same time as the owner and the dog was fine.
  13. My sister (lawyer can you believe it) is going through a bit of a mid-life crisis. Divorce, Taylor Swift Europe tour groupie, saltwater aquarium with sea horses, $16k lamp. She's been cuckoo for cocoa puffs recently. She got a Foundation series cyber truck (aka cyberbeast) last week. She thinks it's cool and so do her friends. She came by and I made her park down the street. It's exactly what you think it is. Having 863hp or whatever the three ton thing does move quickly and smoothly. I tried to go in with an open mind, but everything about it is soulless. I held my tongue as I drove it around and had random people gawk at it and give me a thumbs up. (jim sliding low into the seat) To be fair I am a car guy, and most car guys hold the CT in disdain. It has a menu of fart sounds that you can program for various functions, emitted from different speaker locations. Turn signal? Lower passenger seat toots. It goes on and on and super fucking annoying. There's a "dog mode" so you can leave your furry friend in air conditioning while you shop. I am afraid an unfortunate slew of toddler deaths are coming as a result. Calling it "dog mode" must be a CYA. We were supposed to go race last Friday but she couldn't get enough of a charge all day on a regular charger. (not supercharger) We were going to go to San Antonio raceway so the round trip and what not and she deemed it was too far. Supposed to 0-60 in 2.6s. It was quick but I don't see it. In my old gasser I'm scared of encountering a Tesla S plaid in the wild, but I look forward to ripping a cyberbeast a new one. You know, when it is charged.
  14. Yeah. If I remember from when I was that age (and I don't remember much) politics was waaaay down on the list of things I thought about. More than likely these celebrity athletes aren't spending too many cerebral cycles splitting the policy governance atom. They are just along for the ride. I think these two have are probably surrounded by smart people helping them navigate these waters and not get too fiesty in either direction. And they seem like cool cats who are too level to go nuts. Hopefully I didn't just kill us all.
  15. What the fuck is going on in here?
  16. They wanted over $18 in shipping. Tops should be $3.50. Time to get some posterboard and crayons which I promise not to eat this time.
  17. THIS. I've been lurking here (well, the predecessors) since 2008 I believe. I still go over to Orangebloods from time to time when I am jonesin' for some additional football content when things are slow. The first thing I noticed honestly was how unfunny most posters on Orangebloods are. Then the need to post "first!" when a new thread is started. Assinine. My politics as left-center wouldn't sit well there.
  18. I think it is safe to say at this point that the average Russkie does in fact take a dump without a plan.
  19. I was waving a dildo
  20. As a falconer he can suck my cloaca.
