  1. hard to distinguish between the two sets of fans. TD
  2. The quick, short passes lead to more batted balls. why is he sliding?
  3. Though I very much prefer winning the SEC championship, another advantage of being number 5 besides playing #12 in the first round is playing the worst conference champ (#4) in round two (BYU/ISU) whereas #1 has to play #3 from BIG/SEC. There is no guarantee we’ll be #5 even if we win out though.
  4. Just based on the Vandy game, here are my uneducated thoughts on QB play. - If the plays were as called, Ewers played well and he is the better QB than Manning for the scheme. Based on what I saw, it looked like the strategy was to play safe on offense and depend on defense to beat Vandy. Ewers is good at 0-10 yard from LOS passes. I don't recall even one misplaced throw (except that long overthrow). - But this GD offense isn't going to cut it against better teams than Vandy, which means passes beyond 15 yards. This requires at least one of two things, good OL protection and/or a QB that can throw WRs open. If OL is going to be inconsistent, then which QB can make the anticipation throws? I don't know the answer to this question. This probably requires rapid deciphering of the defense and confident and forceful throws in tight windows, not mention being in sync with moving WRs. The RBs and WRs played well, fighting for YAC. We really need that 15+ yard threat to stop the defense from swarming the LOS. I hope in this bye week, Sark figures out how to spread the defense vertically, not just horizontally.
  5. The idea is to play for championships, and there are two, SEC and NC. People are being too blase about missing an opportunity for one of the two.
  6. Arch: You don’t give awards to me; I give awards to you.
  7. I didn’t expect an inverted horns from Vandy. Did Rice do horns down? I don’t remember, and Vandy is the equivalent of Rice in SWC.
  8. But if we had couple of suicides from jumpers on the west side, then, as a precedent set by Foxconn, nets make a good precautionary measure.
  9. That’s what I thought, though people taking the net thing seriously had me rethinking it. It is so obviously comical, let alone impractical, that I am surprised people fell for it.
  10. Not necessarily; there could be 3-4 other teams at 10-2 (more precisely 6-2 or 7-1 in conference) and we could be reliving 2008 depending on how SEC ranks the teams.
  11. This ability to pinpoint anyone on camera probably works when the game is going on. Now, you will get only empty seats. They are probably not recording every angle throughout the game.
  12. You don't have to compare Ewers to Mahomes. We can just compare Michigan Ewers to yesterday's Ewers. At Michigan, he was moving in the pocket very well, not so much yesterday.
  13. go for it. if you don't get, they still need a TD.
  14. I would have gone for it with a better play. If you don't get, hold for FG and you are still down by one score.
  15. If he saw the first punch, he couldn't have missed the second one.
  16. It is funny that I didn't see the Ewer's without backup ad when the backup was playing.
  17. Playing against a team that throws deep a lot, Alabama does let a lot of WRs get behind them.
  18. Tenn QB has overthrown at least 4 TD plays.
  19. Each one represents a decade since they started playing football.
  20. Michigan has found a worse QB than the 2 that played against us. What happened to those 2?
  21. I am surprised alabama didn't flop there.
  22. must be something wrong with AC at Tennessee.
