  1. I’ll send 9.95 for my subscription to the writeup too!
  2. Fuck it, let’s do it again!
  3. Damn, who are we going to wish to be interim HC after the first loss?
  4. You can always just crank everything up and go balls to the wall. I have a 5 watt champ for that!
  5. Well, I do use the Klon whenever I want to really crank it up or show my friends what a Klon sounds like.
  6. Same here I’ve got an Amplified Nation Wonderland Overdeive (dumble clone) coming in this weekend. It’s got a master volume and supposedly killer OD channel. If it’s all it’s cracked up to be I my never need pedals.
  7. I used to say the same thing…..then I got hooked! Doesn’t everyone on Surly have $1 billion, fuck playboy playmates and own a 59 Les Paul?
  8. Gorgeous!
  9. 1980’s heavy metal was built on Norlins boat anchors! One of these days I want to get a black beauty LP custom from about 1982 or so.
  10. Weber! Except for the fact you have to drill a hole in the top.
  11. Did you purchase a Best Buy coupon on Surly to use for the original purchase?
  12. That actually sounds about right. I’ve seen them sell for $10K. I got mine for about $6K.
  13. What were they asking for it?
  14. The 6 figure pre-cbs Strats are few and far between. It would have to be very early mapleboard (1954) in primo condition, or almost rare custom color. Or played by Jimi Hendrix/David Gilmour/etc. One other factor - that $120K 1954 strat was at Gryphon Strings in Palo Alto. There are a lot of rich fuckers who would want to blow $120k on something like that out there.
  15. Nevermind, I’m drunk. But the collapse does seem terribly familiar.
  16. Eagles D is fatigued from the first half. Feels like I’m watching a Sark coached team for some reason.
  17. Picked this up last year. Debatable whether it’s worth the money, but it’s badass and I haven’t found a clone that can match it.
  18. The amazing thing is that I think they only reason people think he’s a big league blues player is due to his endless self promotion. He’s a great player, but he’s not a blues legend or anything like that.
  19. My guess is $25 million worth of guitars and amps. Probably $50K everything else.
  20. My buddy said Joe has at least 10 primo condition bursts that he saw over there.
  21. I’m equal opportunity, here’s my R8 and R9. Of course, I’ve changed the Gibson pickups out for Rolphs!
  22. I’m not sure. It was an essentially mint condition 59 burst that came out of Arizona.
  23. I have a friend that brokered a deal for Joe B to buy a burst for $600K. He went to Joe’s house to deliver it and said the house is wall to wall guitars and amps. He said Joe paid in cash, literally grocery bags full of $100 bill stacks.
