  1. This… huge positive for very little actual effort. It’s so easy to make and you can store it for a long time. I took an old olive oil bottle, poked a hole In the top, and just reheat it in a pot of water (think reheating syrup bottles) to liquify it so I can give it a little skeet skeet all over my brisket before wrapping.
  2. That’s why I said “per se” 🤷🏻‍♂️
  3. The struggle is real. He’s not a bad guy, per se, but he is an asshole. Love him (and definitely my nephews) but don’t always like him very much.
  4. Sadly for me, he’s one step ahead of you, brother.
  5. Probably not so coincidentally, with apologies to Worldwide, he is an aggy.
  6. Yeah I’ve learned through this that his tactic is to choose an ambiguous subject he knows (or thinks) no one will know about that he can use to shock you and make his point. I’d seen snippets here to at least know what he was talking about, and after a quick couple reads, it just really didn’t register enough with me to really care. He just knows now he’s preaching (literally in this case) to the wrong choir. It really is that movie scene where the guy is asking “maybe we’re the baddies?” But he can’t see it. Real shame for an otherwise “smart” person.
  7. It was definitely the most level headed I’ve ever been dealing with him when he says mind numbingly dumb/inconsistent things. That was more or less the message he got, along with being sure to tell him he is following/posting some pretty far out stuff… he was very quick early on to post all the “Bucha was a fake!!!” RT news analysis etc.
  8. I love my brother, i do, but this whole conflict has really let the cat out of the bag to me that he’s lost his mind. He has a good job and makes 6 figures and all that nice stuff, but he’s gone nuts when it comes to anything politics or religion and especially both in the last 5-6 years or so. Out of nowhere today, he sent me a Twitter post from a user called “Truthseeker” (can you foresee what’s coming?) about the zelensky regime brutally arresting a ukranian priest in his war on Christian Orthodoxy. My brother recently converted to Greek Orthodoxy because of how conservative and strict it is, and claims that it’s the work of the Antichrist to pretend that this action is anything other than contemptible. When asked if I supported this, I said it was pretty low on my list of things I cared about, especially in light of, you know, war crimes and such. I learned that I am supporting the persecution of Christians by Jews and Pagans, and am being lied to about everything by normies (whatever those are). Me questioning his sources and saying that maybe these priests wouldn’t be under investigation if they weren’t loyal to Moscow was met with “Out of sight and out of mind is ok for those who’ve never actually experienced human suffering on any level other than worrying about if they’re getting the football tickets or not”, to which I just responded with an AP link to photos of Bucha. After 5 minutes or so of what I assume to be his brain pretzeling trying to figure out how to reconcile that, he sent a long diatribe that ended with the phrase “Jewish thugs and Pagan Nazi fools”. so yeah, maybe my brother has joined the KGB.
  9. If it is the same as what Gonzalo’s in Longview used to make (the owners are brothers) then they don’t roast anything, but I’ve never actually been to EyM. Gonzalos hot sauce was damn good though so it wouldn’t surprise me if they had a similar/same recipe.
  10. I prefer to call this the “Inverse Pauly Walnuts”
  11. A couple of super easy go-tos when I feel like putting in minimal effort: Boneless/skinless chicken thighs, marinated equal parts teriyaki and lower sodium soy sauce, black pepper, ginger powder. Grill or cook in cast iron, serve with some steamed rice and green veggie of choice. Pork chops, rubbed with Dijon mustard and lightly breaded with panko. Great in the air fryer or a cast iron skillet. Those are both probably 25 minute dishes that require very little skill or effort.
  12. Anyone have a stream?

    Crawfish

They’re currently 5.99/lb at R&R. Had them at cottonwood yesterday for 5/lb. There were some good sized ones mixed in, but still a lot were on the small side. Either way, it scratched an itch.
  14. Need them to go ahead and make mozzarella sticks breaded in this. I’d eat a whole bag while drunk if you asked politely.
  15. As a quick aside, it is hilarious to me that we have an Aggie in here running circles around nearly everyone else in this thread. No one alert the football board!
  16. Can’t wait to go back to a roughnecks game.
  17. Just threw these in the smoker. That sucker has been doing some heavy lifting for me this weekend.
  18. This was fun. Took my time and did this as a 3 day process. Very worth the wait, but happy I have enough that I probably have enough to last me the year, depending on how much i give away.
  19. This ended up being ridiculously good. I did a cold smoke for 6 hours at 150, and cranked the heat up to test one linkk which was insane… there was so much snap that i literally got juice in my eye after taking the first bite. After vacuum sealing a few batches for friends I still have about 20 links I threw in my freezer.
  20. I made an obscene amount of sausage to smoke tomorrow. It was my first time making sausage, and after popping the casing a few times at first, I finally got in a groove and the process got a lot faster. Made a basic pork sausage using one of the Chud’s bbq videos. I’m glad I have enough to not have to do this again for a while.
  21. Love this dish. Instrucciones, por favor.
