  1. 1) everything I’ve read says they are 2) I wouldn’t know, I’ve honestly never had to put it in a dishwasher. You could scramble eggs with no butter/olive oil spray/whatever and it will wipe right off with a sponge. The thing is awesome.
  2. A surly favorite, it’s basically the perfect breakfast taco topping. Can be found at most any HEB, and my friends back in Longview tell me Albertsons carries it as well if you aren’t in the HEB footprint.
  3. Felt lazy last night so we did breakfast for dinner. Had some frozen potatoes, an open pack of bacon I needed to finish, and egg. Juan in a million minus the bear claw handshake….
  4. We get it dude, shut the fuck up and go fuck your Colombian girls while getting robbed in the streets and telling how soft we are. Douche bag
  5. They were definitely hesitant at first, but after i mentioned “yeah I’ve had other dealerships say they’ll honor it, they just don’t have anything in the lot so I’d have to order but I’m not in a hurry so that wouldn’t bother me” they changed tune pretty quickly. They said the only one they couldn’t offer it on was the Yukon Denali, which isn’t even what I was buying anyway. It helps if you live in Houston where we have a billion dealerships within 25 miles of my house.
  6. I plan to put about 22K down… that should probably help me get whatever i want, right? I’ve hijacked this thread but I love doing research but when it comes to the actual application of things im a moron.
  7. So i haven’t ever bought new, should I just finance through the dealership, or should I go with my bank/shop around? 800 credit score so I’m probably fine either way, but I don’t want to do 36 month for 0%.
  8. I did find A couple that honored the supplier discount. It helped that I wasn’t in a hurry and mentioned I’d just go build a custom from a dealer that would accept it if not. They quickly said “yeah well we want the business so I’ll make it happen” I will let you know soon… Carvana offered 4-6K more than anything else I’ve tried. I guess they send someone to do a quick check when they pick it up from your house but from what I’ve read online they really don’t. I guess they will pay top dollar because they want to keep the highest inventory. Literally had another buyer say “If they offered you that, I wouldn’t even look anywhere else because you won’t do any better by a long shot”.
  9. Oh fuck me, how did it forget. All time favorite restaurant scene is Mrs. Doubtfire going back and forth between business meeting and family, getting totally hammered and then walking through the kitchen. I do all the cooking in my house and I yell this from the kitchen at least once a week.
  10. The Hook scene, goodfellas prison gravy are both great suggestions. One of my favorites is “Big Night” where they’re making the Timpano dish.
  11. Because it makes me angry that I didn’t think to do it, so surely you must be an asshole If you single order a pickup from a bbq restaurant. Also, judging by the date and time of my original post, I had probably been drinking
  12. Speaking of, this was a fun surprise 20 minutes after we got on the road a couple weeks ago coming back to Houston from Easter…
  13. That's a dumb fucking code. Asshole says what?
  14. Wife and I went for lunch a few weeks ago with our baby (note - at 2PM on a saturday every other new parent in Houston has the same idea). Everything was really good… the chili rice noodle dish was a nice app, the elote was good but not our favorite. She had the smoked bavette and I had the turkey, both of which had a great combo of smoked and Asian flavors. Would definitely recommend.
  15. is carvana still the best place to sell a used car? They were like 4K over the kbb value I got
  16. So, piggy backing off this, since I’ve only bought one other car at a dealership and was too stupid to know anything about anything, and my last one was from car max where everything sells for what it’s listed… I finally found a dealership in town with what i wanted in transit, price is ok and They are honoring my supplier discount. I’m guessing at this time I really don’t have much room to wiggle on price or extras or anything, right? Seems like a “take it or wait 2 months for another” type deal
  17. I have both GM and Ford supplier discounts but right now I’ve been looking around at GM dealerships. One dealership said they can order for MSRP but at this point I’m spraying my build quote from the supplier website across every dealership seeing what they can do for me. They all want me to come test drive a model on their lot but I’ve seen all the online inventories and none of them match what I want, and if it’s even close they want way more than MSRP I was quoted.
  18. I have a supplier discount through my employer that would save me a few grand in a new truck, but the first dealership i talked to said they can’t honor the supplier discount because of allocation. Is this a thing across the board now, or just dealership specific? Most lost don’t have what I want so I figured I’d need to build to order anyway. In Houston so I’ve got a ton of options and am shooting my preferred build to several dealerships. Is this across the board or just dealership specific? Not the end of the world but a couple grand is still a couple grand if I can get it.

    TexMex

It was so out of character that I’m not going to drop them out of the rotation, but it kinda burst the bubble on them for me. They’ve been one of my favorite relatively cheap places that still serve a decent (read: strong) marg so it was just very disappointing

    TexMex

The thing about teo for me is that I’ve had some very good meals there, but the last meal I had there was really shitty. Tacos Al carbon and everything tasted like it’d been cooked two days before and left out too long… stale and bland. A bad tex mex experience in Houston pretty much guarantees I’ll never go back with all the options we have by here.
  21. Twitter replies seem to suggest the point was for it to land right in front of that bunker and spray whoever was inside it (machine gunner?) with shrapnel right before hitting the ground. I have no idea what the intended purposes of the switchblade or how it works though.
  22. If not for the proximity to San Antonio/Mexico, Arlen could’ve been a shoe in for Marshall.
