  1. More than double the outages from May. Approaching Ike territory.
  2. https://spacecityweather.com/beryl-tracking-toward-matagorda-center-likely-to-pass-near-west-side-of-houston-serious-impacts-expected/
  3. Makes sense, thank you. My fried was scrambled last night when I was trying to figure out what you meant lol.
  4. This was all preexisting, we are in the process of moving in. House was built in 94 and i assume it’s the cable line but is there any reason I would still need those? I will never use cable again and we don’t have a landline.
  5. What are these cables coming out of a comcast box at my new house and can I cut them or have them removed? Wraps around the garage then goes in the ground, comes out near the house and is run along the side of the house. I don’t need to mess with the ground wire but the black one is in bad shape.
  6. The only buttfucking I got was going from 2.85 in the house I bought in 2020 to 6.99 on my rate in this one.
  7. For me personally I think your last point has some merit. I know we need to sustain recruiting to keep our team stacked and bolster some weaker spots, but some combination of the team being good again and have coaches that seem to actually be trustworthy and can develop has me less emotionally invested than previous years.
  8. I just want to throw some props and a very sincere thanks to @UTPhil2006 and the Prodigy Mortgage team. Just closed on the second house I’ve done with them, and both times they’ve made everything super smooth and have kept us ahead of schedule. Most of the time before I could even get to a question they had the next steps ready for us to complete. Whether when I was a first time buyer with all the first time questions, or helping us coordinate a gift deposit and reworking things a couple times for us this time, he made everything a breeze for us. My wife and I joked that some friends that bought recently all said how stressed they were, and between our realtors and Phil all kicking ass we were on easy street the whole time. Appreciate it Phil!
  9. Mom’s egg rolls, Vietnamese chicken curry, and the crawfish and garlic noodles. All solid but we really really liked the crawfish noodles. We had some cocktails (don’t remember which ones) that were also good. There’s a Korean restaurant in that same plaza that has a small speakeasy/hidden bar in it that we briefly checked out after but it was not our scene. Maybe if we’d gone before dinner it would’ve been cooler. Fun idea though.
  10. Had dinner there with my wife a month ago or so, it was very good.

    Indian

My mom has been in town the last few days and wanted to take me to lunch for my birthday. She lives in deep East Texas and wanted to go somewhere “very tony”, and I know she can’t get good Indian food up there so i suggested Musaafer. It was pretty damn pricey but man, holy shit was all the food awesome and the atmosphere was great. Definitely not your every day type place but IMO the experience was well worth it. Really really cool spot, especially sitting in the mirror room.
  12. This is pretty far off base, but does anyone know the contract situation for Luka and Kyrie? Both seem to be happy but Luka is going to command top dollar, although I feel like he may have already signed an extension off his rookie deal. Is that correct?
  13. Yeah whatever bro

    Houston BBQ

When I went yesterday I saw that they had a little sign up for chicken thighs but I’m not sure if that’s a newer regular menu item or just something they had posted up. If I’m going out for bbq it’s usually on the weekend so I may not be the best person to answer that question. Their Instagram may have some info if they do though.

The jalapeno cheese rice at Pinkertons is an A1 side - for me it’s up there with Truth’s tater tot casserole and dare I say the JM cheesy squash (ok probably not THAT good but still…) I know there are some major Truth fanbois out there but I think I still prefer Pinkertons by a smidge.
  16. NHL playoffs are probably the most exciting, nail biting, everything counts sporting event in existence, IMO.
  17. Lots of the crews that came in are going to be kept around to do maintenance work for the next month. If there was damage assessed that wasn’t necessarily outage related but still needed work, it will be getting taken care of.
  18. SIAP but just saw this last night. This is right between CenterPoint Tower and Wells Fargo. 500 windows knocked out of CenterPoint tower
  19. Gonna be a long few days.
  20. Yall need Jesus
  21. Gafford and Washington are probably my favorite players on this team. We haven’t had dudes like that since Tyson and Marion
  22. Luka was cracking me up at the end. Telling the ref hes getting hit on the arms, legs, everywhere. Dort does seem to trip a lot of people with his big ass feet
  23. This mother fucker Dort just bulldogs his way to the paint looking to get bailed out.
  24. To quote Mack Brown, “…and that’s fair.”
  25. Denver is healthy? Lol. Hurt vs injured applies here - is there anyone important actually missing games? Full disclosure I’m ignorant on the subject but Dallas is actually missing a key rotation player, and one just came back from missing basically the whole first round. If you want to just talk hurt, I don’t see Murray or Jokic getting the shit beat out of them every night like Luka. Joker’s scratches on his pasty ass arms don’t count.
