  1. Theoretically you should, but I know I had trouble getting it to work last year. https://support.unlocator.com/article/184-how-to-setup-iphone They do offer a 1 week free trial if you wanted to try it out. (wait until Monday if you want to start the free trial though as tomorrow's game is on Apple TV+ where MLB.tv won't help you, and Saturday's is on FOX.... actually, assuming you're in Texas, I guess you can do a trial run this weekend getting it set up using the Rangers as your guinea pig (as their blackout territory is the same as the Astros in Texas)
  2. and Abreu's inability to avoid walks
  3. For Biggio, only batted leadoff in about 35 of the 410 games he caught. Hard to crack the leadoff spot on those late 80s/early 90s Astros teams with guys on the roster like Eric Yielding and Gerald Young (who incidentally was my “Nobody understands the lifelong bond between a boy and the mediocre MLB player he watched when he was 10”. Fun fact: Gerald Young was the first Honduras-born baseball player to make the major leagues. The second, as we all know, was Mauricio Dubon).
  4. First time it’s ever happened for the Yankees. over 18,000 games.
  5. Our fans booed Carlos Beltran for the rest of his career after 2004. our fans are dumb (yes, in hindsight it was worthwhile booing for the later sign stealing but no one knew that in 2005, 2006, etc)
  6. Timely hitting! productive outs!
  7. They’re trying the best they can. blame the Yankees and Dodgers and not wanting to give up their outsized piece of the pie (and/or being willing to give expanding-the-overall- pie a try)
  8. class of 2015, 2017, 2025, 2035?
  9. Tell me that when it’s late August, 105 and sunny . Not late March, 72 and rainy
  10. May depend how you want to watch. I haven’t been able to consistently crack watching on my iphone (but also rarely look to do that so haven’t spent much time trying to solve). I watch on a smart TV via the MLB app on a Roku stick. I use Unlocator’s smartDNS service and toggle the DNS settings on my WiFi router (google nest wifi). It worked all of last year and so far spring training this year. (Detailed setup instructions for whatever your device/connection setup is can be found on their website) The only hiccup I’ve noticed is trying to watch the ESPN app on Roku. Something about their app flags what I’m doing and won’t work until I change the DNS settings back to the default (but that’s a 30 second process through the wifi app on my phone)
  11. MLB.tv + unlocator.com smartDNS subscription
  12. I just hope everyone on the team tries hard and has fun…. ….and wins more than the 85 games I’m predicting they will
  13. When is the sales tax free weekend?
  14. FUBO promo. 7 day free trial, 20 days off first month: https://www.fubo.tv/stream/houston-astros/fans/?irad=1658293&irmp=365718&sharedid=email_1a&ftv_campaign=spmlb_astros_email_1a&utm_source=sponsorships&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=spmlb_astros_email_1a&partnerId=it-20250326-13005749-hou-1-A&utm_id=it-20250326-13005749-hou-1-A
  15. Yep. I thought the same exact thing. like the idea sounded good but the execution was lame/awkward AF.
  16. I’m on the north side of the street opposite neighbors who have several massive live oaks (I have none), so the south wind always pushes the leaves up against the curb on my side of the street. i used to blow them back across the street but that was useless. I tried the aforementioned mowing/mulching on the asphalt. Also mostly useless. every now and then a nice downpour pushes a fair amount into the storm drain down the street but usually barely enough to put a dent. now I just leave em until the street sweepers come through which could be tomorrow. Or could be June.
  17. Posted on the last page but if you have a Roku or smart tv, MLB.TV with a dns/vpn service is the way to go. $125-$150 for a full season of every MLB game (except for a limited few that are on Apple TV…. Like our 2nd game…or May 16 in Arlington…) I’ll repeat, you have to have an Apple TV+ subscription to watch Friday night’s game. Plan ahead if you don’t already have a subscription so you’re not among those pissed off Friday at 7pm.
  18. I’ve been stuck on 85-77 for a few days now.
  19. Cincy over, Cubs under KC over, Astros under Cam Smith, Brett Baty
