  1. Like our record (average), I think we’re middle of the pack on all-time franchise records (winning %) I think the Phillies are the worst fwiw edit: yep, 11th all-time winning % I'm surprised cubs and guardians are as high as they are. i’m guessing they crushed it circa McKinley /T Roosevelt administrations https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_all-time_Major_League_Baseball_win–loss_records
  2. What? Watching to see if the robot dog was going to hump Drinkwitz’ leg doesn’t do it for you?
  3. That half the song came from a Bob Dylan demo for “Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid”?
  4. More details. hurry and get this shit to market…although I fully expect the sticker shock to be quite high…. But hopefully they’ll at least have some good teaser/promo rates. “DirecTV and Disney are giving customers the ability to tailor their video experience through more flexible options,” the companies said in a joint statement. The companies said DirecTV will be able to bundle and sell Disney channels by genres such as sports, entertainment, and children and family content. The ability to sell Disney’s channels via genre means DirecTV customers that don’t want costly sports programming won’t be forced to subscribe to those channels. As part of the agreement, DirecTV will be able to include Disney streaming services Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu in select packages to its subscribers. DirecTV will be charged a wholesale rate to have the ability to sell the services, which also will be offered on an a la carte basis to all subscribers. DirecTV will have rights to launch a new much-anticipated ESPN streaming service next year at no additional costs to its subscribers.
  5. “Under the terms of the deal, Disney receives increases in the fees it charges DirecTV to carry its networks and local ABC television stations, the companies said, while DirecTV has more flexibility in how it sells Disney’s channels to customers, which was a key sticking point in the deal.” I’ll be interested to see what “sports-centric” packages they are able to provide and how much the cost
  6. They still better give me that $30 credit I requested last night from the link posted a page or two back
  7. Yeehaw -4.5 Guardians. 12 games to get it down to 1, then take the last series = 2 seed
  8. 5 runs. 14 hits but 0 with RISP. So bizarre finish this, Hader
  9. That ball. Was. Smoked eesh 108.1 sure bring in a lefty that Yordan is now 4 for 8 against
  10. Make him the permanent 8th inning guy.
  11. Niceeee stayed away from the fastball to moniak after that last AB Send him out for the 8th! (serious if the other option is sitting down Abreu and getting Pressly up). 9, 1, 2 due
  12. Pen? Or kikuchi? we all know: kikuchi to allow a leadoff baserunner that will then score when Abreu comes in…
  13. Here’s my chicken scratch from August 30 when I pulled the trigger on directv stream without realizing they were about to lose espn. this was focused only on sports (primarily espn and fs1, not caring about the conference networks…I have no bandwidth or interest to care about making sure I have the BIG Network to catch shit like Indiana/Northwestern or ACC Network for Wake Forest/Pitt) and getting through the CFP playoff for the cheapest way possible. Other caveat is I have OTA for CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX so don’t need any package for the conference championships when anything I want to watch that weekend will be on those networks. I guess I’ll have to figure out something if I want to see Ewers win the Heisman live on ESPN in mid-Dec If this thread has taught anyone anything it’s that what you’re asking for is pretty much impossible without defining what your “must haves” are and/or being a software developer who can build a database that allows you select what you want and spit out what options are available
  14. Fucck I was about to say a victory tonight is having Altuve back in the lineup and Tucker on the OF …if they both make it through the entire game.
  15. Found a nice little hack for espn last night while I wait out directv. For games that have the Spanish/espn3 feed, you can watch that with an espn+ subscription. I bought the annual pass for that earlier this year when I had a special offer/discount through my credit card I think. so pull that feed up (worked for asu/texas st last night and unlv/Kansas tonight). Then either: a) work on my Spanish or b) pull up one of the team’s radio call (usually free online poking around the team website) and broadcast to the living room speakers over Bluetooth. The problem is that you usually can’t pause either the espn stream or the online audio stream to sync up the two. But I also have a SiriusXM subscription and they usually carry one or both team’s radio call and/or there will be a national radio broadcast. The SiriusXM app does let you pause the stream, so sync that up and you’re golden. Plus you also get a chance to hear something other than usual talking heads on espn (and, unless it’s Andrew/Elmendorf for A&M or the sooner jagoffs, I usually much prefer the local radio team). I was impressed with the Texas St guys last night. I figured they’d be way more emotional/homer when they had a chance late but stayed even keel and really professional calling that game down the stretch. I get this may seem overly complicated but really pretty seamless if you already have the subscriptions for espn+/siriusxm and a setup that allows you stream audio in your home from your phone.
  16. Forgot we were at Anaheim tonight/8:40 start thought we were an hour from first pitch with no lineup posted
  17. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174980484312 My folks also had a guy for a while that set up this kind of system on their place, trapped them, then hauled them off and shipped them over to China/Asia when the swine flu was real bad over there a while back. but yeah, in general, you (and Texas) are fooked https://www.texasmonthly.com/travel/texas-feral-hog-problem-swine-country/
  18. I do it through the wifi/router settings that your TV is connecting to. I don’t actually have a vpn, just the “smart dns” service offered by Unlocator. I have google mesh. Unlocator.com has instructions for whatever you’re trying to set up. For me, that’s just tweaking the dns settings to ‘manual’ and updating the dns server for my wifi network the only hiccup I’ve had is when going directly to the espn app on my smarttv. It thinks I’m in another country and won’t allow the espn app to open (if I wanted to watch directly through the espn app, I’d just switch back the dns settings to “automatic”). But everything, including espn, worked fine through the directv stream app with the manual dns settings enabled
