  1. 1-0 in Chicago 5-4 in Philly (Tigers take 4-3 lead in top 8, Phillies take 5-4 lead in bottom of 8, Duran/Hells Bells light show slams door in the 9th) 4-3 Giants win in 10 in New York 3-2 walkoff in the 10th in Cleveland 2-1 walkoff in the 10th in Boston 13-12 walkoff in Miami (after Marlins allow 6, but score 9 runs in the last 3 innings) 17-16 walkoff in Denver after down 9-0 in the first and 5 runs in the bottom of the 9th
  2. Not sure I’ve seen a bottom of the 9th escalate that quickly. Out of mound visits to start the inning. leadoff K 7 pitch AB ends in a HR. Then: 5 pitch walk Ball, ball, strike, ball, foul, triple (RBI) Strike, single (RBI) Strike, 2 run walkoff HR
  3. Key instructions in bold
  4. Walkoff!!!!!!!!’ @Beau Vine What a fucking night of baseball down 9-0 before you swing the bat
  5. 16-13 bottom 9. 1 out tying run on deck ….. edit Triple, single 16-15 1 out tying run at first
  6. Tonight in Sugar Land Garcia: 2.2 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 2 K; 49-28 Dubin: 1.0, 3 up, 3 down; 12-8
  7. Ballgame! What an effort by the new reliever additions
  8. Marlins/yankees tonight almost as wild as the 8th at GABP last night
  9. Dear jrandall@astros.com, please print 25 copies and post at every locker: Sincerely, surlyhorns and every Astros fan
  10. Sparks is on his game tonight. earlier, ā€œlook for brown to climb the ladderā€. Next pitch fastball he blows by the batter for strike 3. just now: ā€now’s a good time for smith to go. This pitcher’s doesn’t get a lot of swing and miss, and dubon is a good contact hitter.@ unfortunately he forgot our complete ineptitude running the bases and they still end up with a double play.
  11. So fucking stupid
  12. I feel like there is as much commercial time as gametime in this game so dads these AppleTV breaks are ridiculously long….and Hunter is mowing them down and we are first pitch swinging at just about everything
  13. I see Correa still loves to watch meatball first pitches
  14. Big day in Astros history. no not this: https://apnews.com/article/astros-valdez-no-hitter-guardians-houston-4638017011fd652b15eec587e693620e This! I also have this photo saved on my phone on this day, which seems appropriate
  15. No offense but that’s a fucked up fetish if a lineup with Taylor Trammell and/or Dubon in it gets one full chubbed. I think ideal postseason lineup this year looks like: Pena SS Altuve 2B Yordan DH Correa 3B Sanchez LF Diaz C Walker 1B Smith RF Meyers CF (quibble however you want on the order of 6-9) Caratini late inning PH Dubon and Urias late inning PH/ defensive replacement
  16. I’d probably rather have Duffman
  17. In his defense recent history presented a proposal that the team currently located in Tampa would split its home games between south Florida and north of the US border
  18. I’m in austin They still haven’t figured out Unlocator
  19. MLB.tv with the radio broadcast option is the only way I consume Astros baseball Its especially clutch for the national FOX games and postseason when I get to avoid Davis and Smoltz MLB.tv down to $35 for the rest of the year, including postseason
  20. We’re talking Sunday morning.
  21. Pena: ā€œI ain’t getting Wally Pipped out of SSā€
  22. So after Philly next year and Wrigley in 2027, every team besides the 5 below (A’s and most of the AL East) will have hosted this century. A’s (1987) (they’ll be first up when/if they get something done in Vegas) Toronto (1991) no idea when the American national pastime will go north of the border again, maybe once they’re our 51st state (sarcasm… no CR) Baltimore (1993). A visit back to Camden within the next 5 years seems likely Boston (1999). A visit back to Fenway within the next 5 years seems likely (especially after giving the 3rd oldest park (Dodger Stadium) the midsummer classic in 2022 and the 2nd oldest park in 2027. Rays (never). Chances of hosting a future ASG depend on new ownership and ability to get a new park built.
  23. I’d rather have Arrighetti, Javier, Garcia, France, LMJ and Ulolla before Verlander.
