  1. Bama’s defense is average (by their standards). OU has no problem scoring against a much better Georgia defense last year. I have a feeling that they will put up their usual 45. Now Bama probably won’t punt all game so it won’t matter, but it should be an entertaining game to watch.
  2. Odds from the Westgate Bama -14 Clemson -11.5 those May be the biggest spreads we will ever see in this format.
  3. This is Exhibit A why preseason rankings matter. There is no way on earth that a preseason team with their resume would be in the top 15. Zero impressive wins, and shit all over themselves multiple times.
  4. I’m not saying it is going to be another 100 point season, but I honestly believe we are better this year. Sterling and Bernardo Silva have taken their games to the next level, and the back line is playing so much better than any time last year. There are so many ways for this team to beat you, and that’s without KDB.
  5. The crazy thing about it is even without KDB, the only points that have been dropped came off a handball goal to Wolves, and a missed penalty late against Liverpool. The schedule hasn’t been too difficult to start, but after next week we will have played 4 of the 5 other big 6 clubs all away from home. Teams are going to have to win at City for this not to be another dominating title campaign.
  6. KDB out for another 5-6 weeks after getting injured yesterday. Sucks for him and the team, but it isn’t the worst time to have it happen. I just hope it isn’t something that lingers through the whole season.
  7. I can’t say that I wouldn’t have taken a draw heading into today, but that missed penalty changed everything. Why the fuck was Mahrez the choice when there were at least 3 better options with Jesus, Silva, and Fernandinho? All in all I am pleased with the start, but this team is definitely not the same without KDB. I hope that he is back after the international break like he is supposed to be.
  8. VAMOS RAFA!!!!!
  9. Ederson has more assists than Ozil through 2 games
  10. Holy shit this is fun
  11. Well maybe they aren’t dead
  12. Arsenal is so bad it’s comical
  13. Huge loss if it is for any extended period of time. Well we have already played Arsenal on the road so I don’t think that will make too much of a difference for them. The Chelsea point is valid, but it seems like it will most likely be a 2 team league race between Liverpool and City anyway.
  14. The final was Nadal and Djokovic. As soon as the Isner and Anderson semi hit about 9-9 in the 5th, all the drama for the actual final was gone. Disappointing end after Fed/Anderson, Rafa/Delpo, Isner/Anderson, and Rafa/Djokovic were all time classics leading up to it. All in all it was a fantastic tournament, and one that could really set the summer hard court season on fire. Who is the favorite in New York? Djokovic has his confidence and game back would be a wise bet. Nadal has lost 3 matches all year (1 injury retirement, another a 5th set classic), just had his best run in 7 years on his worst surface and is the defending champion. Federer won the first hard court major of the year and has won 2 of the last 3 on the surface. Delpo can beat absolutely anyone on any day and looks better than he has in years. Or perhaps a youngster will finally step up...doubtful. This is the most I have looked forward to a summer hard court season in at least 5 years.
  15. Happy for Novak. Although I was rooting for Nadal, it’s always cool when an all time great comes back from injury (or slump) to reach the top again.
  16. Kind of like you are suddenly Mr “Go Novak Go!!!” After Federer lost
  17. 12 all seems like a logical place to have a tiebreak. I’m also ok with the final going until someone wins by 2 games, but that’s about the only time. Back to the match, this is what tennis should look like. Both guys playing well and hitting multiple solid shots in a single point. Fuck that serve and nothing else bs.
  18. I don’t know how anyone could possibly not like Delpo. With that said, Vamos Rafa!!!
  19. Whoever comes out of the bottom half has the be the favorite now.
  20. Bye bye fed
  21. I don’t see why they can’t just make it 3 yellows before a suspension (unless of course 2 occur in the same game and result in a red). Seems like that would solve most of the yellow card suspension problems.
  22. My former boss (still good friends) is Young’s uncle through marriage. They went to the draft and were at the after party and everything. Even he thinks he was overrated and would have benefited from staying in school and learning some shot discipline.
  23. Neymar is the least likable superstar in any major sport. Such a little bitch.
  24. That save was one of the best penalty saves I have ever seen!
  25. To be fair, “just outside the box” is a relative description. He was 10-15 yards outside.
