  1. Someone in the audience might be made to feel awkward.
  2. Part of problem is that yesterday was the last day of school. Hard for kids to organize this kind of thing in 2 days. May see some sparks at graduations, or in graduation speeches, but it looks like some districts are nipping that in the bud. https://lakehighlands.advocatemag.com/2022/05/27/risd-moves-to-pre-record-graduation-speeches/
  3. So isn't this basically admitting that the NRA and gun culture are part of the problem?
  4. Narrator: He didn't really want to do anything about mental illness either.
  5. I'm a middle school teacher. Every year I have about 2 or 3 students that are immature at a level that makes reasoning with them useless. I address their misbehavior, I try to explain what they're doing, and why it's a problem, but ultimately you get to a point where it's wasted time and wasted words. They don't get it because they don't want to get it, and it's best to assign the consequence and move on. That's what I see here... except she's a grown woman... and a congresswoman.... that's on the same maturity level as the most immature 1% of 8th graders.
  6. You should write a letter thanking the Uvalde parents for trading their children's lives for your guns that will never kill people. That's the trade, right? You get guns, they were made less safe, and they paid the price. I'm sure your comforting words would give them great solace.
  7. They don't trust my training to teach about slavery, but they'll trust me with a gun?
  8. Memorial Day is right around the corner.
  9. They were trained to do this before Sandy Hook. The fact is, there has been zero positive change since Sandy Hook, only policies that have made the problem worse.
  10. Narrator: He still picked fascism.
  11. Can you imagine trying to read and edit an entire book of this 5th grader's scrawling? ETA: @Bama Chick beat me to it.
  12. In the past 6 months we've replaced the hot water heater, ac unit, refrigerator, oven, and put in new floors. The longest we waited for any of those items was 10 days. I guess I'm just lucky.
  13. Yeah that's going to go over real bad around here. Probably fine with the cult though.
  14. Maybe, but it's the kind of self loathing that comes with realizing the bullshit you've been believing is actually bullshit.
  15. I don't know if this is another one of the sock accounts, I'm not making any such accusation. But I am saying that the only thing more pathetic than a grown-ass man being crowdsourced and burning through troll accounts is a grown-ass man creating yet another iteration and vehemently denying it.
  16. Nobody works on getting into A&M. Even that below average sack of disappointment will be settling on getting into A&M.
  17. I know what the point of this post is meant to be a joke (one I fully support), but it really strikes home that AOC probably made sure to never put herself in that position. I'm sure nudes have been requested (I just assume every woman has had them requested at some point in her life). I'm sure some partner has suggested a tape be made... but it probably didn't happen. Why? Because she's had her eyes set on bigger things. She's knows a sex tape or leaked nudes would hurt her credibility. So she doesn't misstep.... because she can't. She had to be above that. And then there's this dumbass. Acting like a dumbass, and he gets to have the same exact position she does. It's a double standard in so many ways and it's utter bullshit.
  18. Great, now I have the mental image of someone trying to push cooked spaghetti into a key hole. Thanks Bama.
  19. I would have gone with "turtle Hell", but a fine effort nonetheless.
  20. I understand the point, but I think we're well beyond hypocrisy mattering to GOP voters.
  21. I'm sure his grades and test scores are more than adequate... for Texas A&M.
