  1. Got my build notice for late January. Got the same time frame for my F250 last year and ended up picking it up the first of June. Hopefully, this one comes a little sooner.
  2. Iā€™m sure they do, the City still sucks to travel in. People live everywhere for a reason, they find ways to deal with the negatives or they move on to a place that offers more positives. Atlanta is the premier southern city, but if I can go anywhere I want in the country itā€™s not on the list. I have a partner that lives in Braselton, buddies all over the North side, and am in/through Atlanta 10-12 times a year. You better really like traffic is and was my original point. Other large cities have traffic but it dissipates at times, Atlanta is never ending traffic from the Stockbridge split, past Marietta and either direction East/West. Couple that with living on the North side but having to fly out of the south side and it makes it worse. People I know on the extreme North side will fly out of Chattanooga just to avoid having to go South.
  3. There isnā€™t a large enough check that someone could write me to live in metro Atlanta. Interstate traffic is an f-ing nightmare and I donā€™t know of another City that compares. It doesnā€™t matter what time you try to go through Atlanta, itā€™s a cluster. There are several areas around there I would consider, but the other problem with Atlanta is the best places are north and northeast, the airport is south/southwest if you do any significant traveling.
  4. You can call him trash, I said he was followed around by a dumpster fire 2-3 pages ago. Sex offender is a little much given the circumstances that are public. It is also Auburn, so any Auburn fan should already be resigned to this. Last time I checked Bruce Pearl coached their basketball team.
  5. Maybe I donā€™t remember the story fully, but didnā€™t he get caught calling an escort service? Itā€™s dumb as hell for someone in his position, but better than picking up a coed or grad assistant. Iā€™m sure beat Bama twice and a NY Day bowl win outrank that on the ADā€™s list. If you want to burn the ADā€™s office down, it would seem that the vacated wins, bowl ban, and Level 1 violations would be a better place to start.
  6. Iā€™ve run several sets of Cooper AT3ā€™s over the last 6-7 years and would not go with anything else. Buddy owns a tire shop in town and he had me switch over to them because of cupping issues on a couple of sets of BFGā€™s. Iā€™ve had zero issues with the Coopers.
  7. Itā€™s the dumpster fire of other issues that follows him around that is the problem.
  8. Scroll up, just a few posts is all it takes. Local Ole Miss boosters are worried, but not surprised. Lane has been huge to them as it finally got the school in the National discussion. They arenā€™t looking for NCā€™s, just relevance and a big win every once in a while.
  9. I really well done stained tongue in groove ceiling works perfect for outdoor setups. Every time I go outside I end up just standing around looking at it. This isnā€™t the greatest picture of ours, but you get the idea.
  10. Whatā€™s the highest value WR that would be a fair trade for either Josh Allen or Fields. My WRā€™s are garbage (currently Sutton, Mooney, and Lazard) and itā€™s time to get one solid WR for one of the QBā€™s. I could also throw in a James Conner or Jamaal Williams if it moved the needle to a tier 1 receiver. Guy with the worst QB is currently starting Olave, Hopkins, Diggs, and K Allen. Next worst is starting Adams, Higgins, and Jefferson.
  11. The whole Vandy area is nice, but there is nothing amazing about their stadium or their team by any means. It is far enough down West End that itā€™s not really connected to downtown, but itā€™s an easy walk across campus to/from the Division St bars, Hattie Bā€™s, etc.
  12. We tried going back against the warranty on ours and never got anywhere. I had roughly $30k in railings on a large deck and two large sets of stairs and the top rail faded down quickly and did not hold up. We used their cable system for the middle portion (not sure what itā€™s called) and it was great, but the top rail would not hold up to the sun. The decking material held up great and was easy to maintain, it just felt like the surface of the sun mid day in July. I think a lighter color would have been better though.
  13. Depends on which composite selection you go with. For the lower end that would probably cover it. We did Trex on a large project and one problem we had is it was hot in direct sunlight. You were not going to walk outside in the day without shoes which also was a problem for the dogs going out. It was in South FL and we probably should have gone a much lighter color, but it was miserable. The railings also did not hold up well and looked rough 12 months in.
  14. Itā€™s one of those things that was preventable and should have been better planned out. It has also not gone over very well locally. Ultimately, water was something people were not prepared for.
  15. Yeah, makes zero sense. They moved them to the trailer park that sits basically at sea level where the people lived that cared for them. All of them including the ones that were displayed at the park were lost. So much was lost that it is what it is, but itā€™s a sad deal. Several of the birds had been on display there for the 20+ years we have been going. Went down last week and the whole thing is pretty tough. The entire island has pretty well been washed/blown out. Pictures donā€™t do it justice. A few things are back open, but who knows what it looks like 12 months from now. Due to the fact they didnā€™t allow chains, it will take years for the restaurants/shops to recover. Most were owned by people on the island that owned multiple spots and had everything tied up locally that was destroyed. We have talked to several that may not reopen that are long-term staples. F-ing sucks because of how interconnected everything was. Makes recovery hard. Weā€™re back looking at houses now trying to decide whether to go ahead and jump back in.
  16. Checks notes, 28 points against GB is 9-1 this year. Dallas did Dallas things like Dallas always does. The offense did enough to win for 3 quarters, played passive in the 4th and the defense let it slide away.
  17. Pulled the plug on my Surlyhorns investment portfolio. Decided to harvest some losses to offset some some property deals. Someone send up the bat signal if anything starts looking promising.
  18. Sitting in Naples at the moment with a flight out Wednesday afternoon. Debating whether to try and get that moved up earlier that day or let it ride and hope windy conditions donā€™t cause problems.
  19. RIP Coy Gibbs, Joe has had a pretty terrible run to have to bury both his sons. After everything at the beginning of the week and then with it ending this way is tough/

    Getting old sucks

Iā€™ve had 4 of them in the last 5 months (wife goes for 2nd in the last 6 weeks tomorrow), I think my ortho doc is trying to get me to cover his private school tuition for him. I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Mortonā€™s Neuroma for finding its way into my life. Working on getting another surgery scheduled before year end since Iā€™m well past my deductible at this point. Thought I had a foot sprain that wouldnā€™t heal, nope just another f-d up nerve issue causing problems.
  21. Physical Therapy made a world of difference with my back issues. Between the herniated discs and some compression issues on several nerves, I was nonfunctional for several weeks. They put me on a 45 minute a day regimen of stretches and core exercises and I feel a ton better.
  22. Good plan, this stateā€™s f-d at this point especially with the addition of the people that are moving in every day. Weā€™re doubling down on political tendencies. As soon as our youngest graduates, weā€™re moving on.
  23. Looked at a Nardo Gray one on the lot today. They have a tentative deal and deposit on it but are going to let me know if it falls through. They also have a blue one on a truck now that is not sold if you want blue. He thought it would be here in the next few days. Itā€™s pretty stout. Drove the other 3 Iā€™ve been looking at. I may end up leaning towards the S6 as many miles as I drive. Looked at an SQ8 also but it was sold as well with no others coming in.
  24. Our kids have been traveling with us since they were little. We take a short trip or two a year without them, but for the most part they have always gone. Get them into the habits early and life is much easier as they get older. We took them on planes, made several long trips a year by car (probably the best thing we did because itā€™s never been an issue hopping in a car for an 8 hour ride), took them to restaurants including nicer ones, etc and have had zero issues even through the toddler years. They could navigate airports by themselves as early teenagers and had flown by themselves at that point. The parents that avoid it are the ones that have little shits the rest of their youth that they canā€™t go anywhere with. We are also not doting parents by any stretch. We canā€™t wait for them to move out, having a driver is awesome because her sister is her problem, etc. We did want them to see things with us and be able to travel as they got older and not be the kids / young adults that everyone looks at funny because they are being assholes though.
  25. Chicago for me if Denver is out. Nowhere else on that list sounds interesting in the least bit. We go several times a year and prefer it over NYC and the other big cities. Weā€™ve toyed with the idea of buying a condo downtown and spending the summers there after getting out of south Florida, but I canā€™t decide. What about some of the California areas?
