  1. We don’t do a lot of BBQ because we don’t eat much red meat or pork. I use my BGE for whole chicken, Turkey breasts, the occasional pork chop cooked over low heat, chicken wings, etc. They all come out better than the oven. The grill gets used now for just seafood and vegetables (zucchini, squash, cauliflower, corn, etc). I cook more then than inside and rarely do anything that is traditional BBQ. Going to give pizza a shot next and see how that goes.
  2. I’ve never peeled garbanzo beans for hummus, add enough oil to get it smooth. I can’t say anyone has ever noticed or at least no one has said anything.
  3. To be fair those stats are skewed a lot by Hader getting rocked in back to back games 2 weeks ago. His ERA was in the mid 1’s up until he ga e up something like 8 runs in .1 innings.
  4. When I bought mine, it was take it or leave it. They didn’t care either way. It had also been on the lot for a little while and they still didn’t come off $1.
  5. Thanks for the post. We’re staying at the Lotte. Pizza and going to Little Italy are all I’ve heard from my two at this point. They aren’t high end restaurant teenagers so we’ll probably mix in a decent steakhouse, sandwich place, and shoot for smaller, local places after that. We ate at La Grande Boucherie when we were there in May and will probably end up back there I’m sure. Oldest is way over planning so we’re working with her on that. I would imagine we’ll hit the big things (museums, World Trade Center, Statue of Liberty, Central Park) and then go from there. She also has a college tour or two lined up so that will limit her sight seeing as well.
  6. Think you meant @HenryJames ,imo.
  7. Post up where you end up, we're going for 5 nights the first of October. My oldest is planning out her itinerary of all the things she wants to go see/do, so we have to fill in the food choices. We'll hit up pizza once/twice and then go from there.
  8. I need to stay out of this thread, I'm going to end up changing my mind on moving on to some other boat type and just add to the boat stable instead. I could talk wakeboard boats all day. I've had one in the garage for all but a year or so since I turned 20ish. I really screwed my back up last time I got on a skate, so I think I'm officially done with the board sports (I can't get into surfing) which kind of sucks to admit. I thought I could still ride it and not get hurt like on the wakeboard, but I couldn't help myself and got stupid on it. I'm back hunting a bay boat again, so we'll see what's next assuming I can sell this one.
  9. For me, it was my mid/late 90's 205's with bags on either side of the motor, in the bow, and under the back seats. Tight, steep wake that was easy to clear and would absolutely launch you. No electronics, easy to work on, and you could buy them for next to nothing. Kids could eat cheetos, drink koolaid, dogs could jump all over the seats, I never cared what happened with them. I've had multiple mid 90's and never spent more than $15k or so on one. Buddy of mine just bought my X1 I had before buying this Nautique. I told him if he ever got rid of it I got first dibs. That was a great boat that used the early 2000's Xstar hull and did everything great, except surfing which is why I moved up. You had to just about sink it to get the back corner low enough to get a decent curl.
  10. It's all personal preference, there is no way in hell I would own a 26 foot wake boat or even a 24 for that matter. I prefer the more narrow width, the lower freeboard of the smaller boats, and the maneuverability of the smaller boats. If I was deadset on getting a 24/26, personally I would just buy a Cobalt R5/R7 Surf so I could just cruise around comfortably. If chop is a significant concern, the Cobalt will eat it up. For a wakeboard boat, Centurion's have always been the best for choppier conditions in my view at least in the little older hulls. Their deadrises and hull shape are great for chop.
  11. I have seen several rental places that rent wakeboard boats. Between them and the boat clubs, keep your head on a swivel out there.
  12. It all depends on how much money you want to spend and how many people you are planning on carrying around. All the big brands have entry level boats all the way up to loaded out $300k+ boats. The 24/26 are big boats especially if you are towing and storing, I’ve always been partial to the 21/22 foot boats because of ease of transport and you can still carry 8-10. They also better represent the old MC 205 and SANTE 210 which throw the best wakeboarding wakes of all time for my preference, steep transitions and narrow wake. The big boats are too wide. I’ve owned 10 or so Nautiques and Mastercrafts over the last 20+ years and it’s like the Ford/Chevy debate. They both do everything well, but they each have followings that think their brand preference is the best. If you’re going to be pulling tubes, I would look for a model without a back deck walk through that has a tow bar. They just don’t pull that well from the back tow hooks on a wake boat because of the wake size. Just listed my SAN 210 if you are looking at Nautiques and want a mint, low hour Nautique.
  13. Spice World minced garlic in the produce section. I use it most of the time now to save time.
  14. The $7500 credit has been in place since sometime around 2010. Early on people were using it for plug in street legal golf carts. Most of the EV manufacturers that got into electric early have already phased out of it as there was a 250k car limit. The new one is a double down to incentivize behavior just like they all are.
  15. Ours are converted from wood burning to gas logs. It wasn‘t much of an issue to get it done. However, you’re dealing with gas lines, pay a plumber to do the connections and test everything. Don’t screw around with gas.
  16. It should be her decision at least up to a point in time in my view just like it has been which is going to require federal legislation at this point.
  17. Feel free to read each of my posts above. My position on your first and second paragraph is crystal clear in multiple posts. On the last paragraph, I think I was clear in what you quoted. There is a line somewhere where outside of medical issues viability has to be considered. Treating it as a for/against issue isn’t going to work in whatever legislation hopefully comes to resolve this and protect the right. Even Roe took into account prenatal life in their decision.
  18. Going to siphon votes from the Democrats like they always do and exacerbate the problem we currently have.
  19. Abortion is and has always been a divided topic with a lot of variables. In it’s simplest form where is the line in the sand between the fetus rights and the mother’s rights? I assume we can all agree that a late term abortion is a problem although that does infringe on the mother‘s rights. I have zero interest in debating specifics because I don’t know where my line is, but to pretend that it’s entirely black/white is stupid.
  20. I typed out a couple things, but shit they all sound weird in the context of this discussion and not knowing you. Without going into details you don’t want to share, I am interested in the guidance that was given in what sounds like a situation with inherent risks. In certain states the conversations that have to be had before going into a pregnancy attempt where there are risks make you wonder what era we actually live in. Could my spouse or doctor face prosecution, death, disability, etc because of a gray area that results in inaction/hesitation? It’s fucking nuts.
  21. I read what he is saying as if a doctor makes a call that it‘s medically needed then so be it. I may not be reading that correctly though. I also think people on here get carried away with putting someone with a different belief in the most extreme box they can think of rather than realizing that some people may be on the other side of the issue but more to the middle than the extremist. Not everything is strictly for/against. Discussion/discourse used to be a useful tool of trying to work together.
  22. As the father of two daughters, it is about medical emergencies. I’m in a state with no out clause. As a father of two daughters, it’s about the 10 year old rape victim who’s doctor is now under investigation. As the father of two daughters, it’s about their right to make decisions that impact them being taken away from them. As I said earlier, I would consider myself pro life in principals of what I think, but pro choice in the way the laws should be written. I’m all for more counseling options, better adoption options, anything else that gives women a better option to go to term, but I’m not naive enough at this point to believe it should be forced upon anyone.
  23. You asked for scenarios, those are scenarios that doctors face where they are making medical decisions that are now dictated by ambiguous language in a law which is what everyone is f-Ing telling you is a problem. “Medical emergency” has no clear legal definition in Medical terminology including the definition used in the law. Also, based on what the AG has said in public, do you think he is going to take the doctor at his/her word that it was a medical emergency and move on? Doctor signed off, it’s good with me? Doesn’t feel like that is the case.
  24. TX has the heartbeat statute doesn’t it? I read that as a fetus without a heartbeat can be aborted although it’s not 100% clear because it say once a heartbeat is detected. Does that mean it’s off limits at that point or only while there is a heartbeat. TN for instance doesn’t have a medical emergency or heartbeat statute. Right now, any pregnancy termination here is illegal.
  25. Current OB’s are worried about future recruitment issues and how it is going to impact graduates and where they decide to practice. Maybe more clarity will be legislated in, but right now the unknown would make me think twice about practicing in the south.
