  1. In 2 weeks they have sent 5 build notice date changes, I’m into April now for expected production date. Seems kind of odd that they would send you a schedule notice unless it is somewhat locked in. Seems even more odd that in 2 weeks time it has dropped 5 weeks production but did it one week at a time. Is what it is, we’ll see how much further it keeps going.
  2. Be curious to see if it holds to that timeframe. My F250 is steadily sliding backwards. Every few days I get a notification that production has been pushed back a week on it, so I’m already almost a month later than when the first notification came. Still waiting on the Bronco production notice. Ordered a 2 door, so dealer thinks it should be this spring sometime.
  3. Copper always felt more like a locals mountain to me. In the bars after hours, it always seems to be people that live around there and drive in to ski for the day. People flying in either stop at Breck or continue on to Vail because of the amenities. When we stayed in Copper, we always just drove over to Frisco a couple of times to eat, because it is pretty limited on the mountain. When they converted the main lot at the base area to a $50 a day reserved lot, it made it much easier to drive in and out and not have to park out at the far off lots and bus in. You can also just take the local bus out of Frisco, but I’ll pay the $50 and park close.
  4. Guess you were fine with the one that took the TD off the board at the end or just the other ones?
  5. Interesting read, I haven’t thought anything about it really. People compete for other countries all the time. She is basically 50/50 and is probably way more familiar with China than a lot of those that jump around based on her parent’s heritage and how she was raised. It’s a nonstory other than the fact she’s actually good at what she does. As noted above, having the Olympics in China is already a problem with what they have going on. A 15 year old choosing to compete for her mother’s country several years ago is what it is. The hockey issue is a much more significant issue in my opinion because there is no link back to China. It’s a bunch of Americans and Canadians that are strictly playing for China to get paid with no Chinese heritage which is completely counter to what the games are. They suck, so no one cares. What happens when they are actually a good team in 2026 or 2030?
  6. Last time we went to A-Basin it was completely iced over and it was not enjoyable on their terrain. Need to give it another shot as that year was garbage everywhere. We generally stay around Silverthorne and then hop mountains a couple of days at a time. The convenience of ski in/out is nice, but we’ve been in the area so many times we’ve found it to be a better guys trip to mountain hop and mix in a snowmobile ride in the middle somewhere. Booked a Copper trip for Spring Break to get my youngest out on a board at least one more time this year. It’s still my favorite mountain in the area. Low crowds, variable terrain for everyone, east to navigate, easy access, etc.
  7. Things you learn on here, I always thought Loveland was the highest in that area. We had a great time skiing it two years ago for a day, although you better be prepared to walk/climb to ski the upper areas of it unless you can grab a ride on the Ridge Cat which was different. There was virtually no one there and the drive up has some great scenery.
  8. Training management in the corporate world seems like the natural fit if you don’t want to move into the college realm. A lot of companies are looking for training directors, learning directors, etc. We’re in the process of hiring one right now to oversee our continuing education program.
  9. Went with a Bouq’s subscription this year because she’s been buying flowers lately. We technically don’t buy gifts although I usually end up doing something, so technically she doesn’t buy gifts I guess.
  10. We’re looking at Whistler for late April. They have a mid May expected closing date this year it looks like. Never been that late in the year, but our guys trip got pushed back so we’re thinking about trying it depending on travel restrictions also.
  11. Baron went under contract in under a week, looks like we’re definitely going to be upgrading to the King Air. Be nice to have a little more room, going to suck when the bills start coming in versus what the Baron cost to operate.
  12. Some version of one is probably engrained in every guy. Limited commitments, making it in your own, no one looking over your shoulder or that you report to, a spouse that is all in on the same lifestyle, etc. That particular version looks absolutely miserable to me though. Mine would involve a boat and a warm climate. Every new commitment pulls me further from living that reality, but hell it was probably dead and gone when I married someone at 20 that didn’t like the water. Now I do everything I can to chase some version of it that works for both of us. Saying that, spending a few weeks in the 2nd pic with the half my age, perfect 10, second wife doesn’t sound like a bad gig either.
  13. Not a good comparison, the Cowboys severely underperformed with a generally decent roster and serviceable QB’s. I don’t think anyone would say the Dolphins underperformed with the roster they have had.
  14. You do remember he coaches the Dolphins, right? He also coached them through the period where they traded away their decent players to stockpile picks, allegedly made offers to tank games, drafted a hurt Tua to hang their future on, have an owner that is a joke to everyone, not to mention taking them to a .500 overall record in the AFC East and almost making the playoffs even though he had to use Brissett as his QB for a chunk of it, etc. I’ll take a sizeable futures bet that says at the end of the next 3 seasons they are below .500 for the period. Flores isn’t the second coming of Bill, but he can clearly coach better than some of these guys out there. As far as the detriment to Tua, he can put on his big boy pants. Everyone in the NFL is taking Watson over Tua.
  15. The world is turning into a bunch of over thinking jackasses in the middle of some sort of existential crisis trying to keep up with their internet “neighbors” with people constantly yelling at them on various “news” outlets about how pissed they should be about something that doesn’t affect their lives daily. Turn it off and just enjoy the fact you’re sitting where you’re sitting and it could always be worse. I don’t consider myself a “happy” person, I think I’m too much of a realist to be “happy.” However, I don’t watch the news, have zero social media interaction, visit this website and ESPN and a couple of others and that’s about it, go to church on Sundays, and live my life. I figure I’ve got a pretty limited window to enjoy it (and that window feels like it’s rapidly closing the older I get), but I’m going to try and make something of my time here and not give two shits what anyone else thinks about my life choices.
  16. No, expand the structure in place with more smaller scale incentives. Everything doesn’t have to be directed at the head coach. Provide opportunities for success and inclusion, incentivize the results that are deemed progress, etc. and push the change at the lower levels. There are a number of ways to skin a cat. Find something that works and achieves some semblance of progress. The couple of you arguing that he was going to get one of these last jobs have no basis to make that argument. NO has locked in from what it sounds like, Houston was going a different direction, etc. He had a reason for making the move now and we’ll see how it works out.
  17. Incentivize the result you are looking for through draft picks or cap credits.
  18. I would say that if his issues with Miami ownership are accurate, then he probably believed Ross was going to poison the well amongst other owners which would keep him from getting another head coaching job any time soon.
  19. Everyone is free to make what are seemingly bad decisions, your posts in this thread are evidence of that.
  20. Got the build notice for my F250 for the week of 3/7 5-6 months after ordering it. Paying invoice less a chunk when it comes in. Still waiting on the Bronco build notice, we’ll see how much longer it is but it is also invoice less a chunk. I’ve bought from the same guy for probably 8 years now, so pricing has always seemed fair.
  21. If you can’t see there is a problem in NFL hiring, then you clearly are part of the problem. This whole hiring cycle is a continuation of a long standing cluster and for whatever he reason he feels like he needs to take a stand. His lawsuit doesn’t have to be iron clad, it just has to pull back the curtain a little further than it is and show the Rooney rule enforcement for the hypocrisy it is. He may not get a dime (he will, but just for arguments sake let’s assume he doesn’t), but you can guarantee there will be revisions made to the hiring process and the Rooney rule. Hopefully, meaningful change comes out of it as he and several others should have jobs over McCarthy and various others right now.
  22. On #3, I didn’t go back and look but wasn’t the timing the issue. Didn’t the text come before his interview which means they had made the hire before interviewing him and that was just a token interview. I may be 100% off on that, but that’s what I remember from scanning everything earlier today.
  23. I’m going to need a few more than 10, but that would be a start.
  24. It’s always interesting what people focus on to try to help their cause. That was a shit throw, that doesn’t erase the rest of the game. They would not have been in that position without the pretty solid play in the end zone by the DB that caused the earlier interception and the dropped balls by the WR’s in the first half. Stafford has had a lights out playoffs with a couple bad throws mixed in, but anyone that doesn’t see how great he has played is just pushing their own narrative. Not sure what any of this has to do with Dallas though.
  25. It went back virtual for this year. They announced the week before while we were there a couple of weeks ago. The mountains were busy and running at lift ticket sales capacity MLK weekend, but people spread out pretty well so lift lines weren’t bad although traffic was pretty shitty through the middle part of PCM because people were staying off the bowls and outer areas because of thin snow cover. It would thin out pretty nicely after lunch though. Taking my youngest to Copper early March to get in a couple of solid days. Should be a nice little get in, ski hard, get out trip.
