  1. I love me some Senator Warnock. Is he going to have to stick to being Harris' surrogate in GA or can he be weaponized across the Sun Belt? He's a good aspirational messenger for her as a counterweight to the bulldogs Walz, Buttigieg, and Shapiro.
  2. "Also, mouth stuff is a sin" I'm dying here. Good production and messaging and a touch of dark humor.
  3. Little did I know, thinking "We Are Not Going Back" was the beginning of a movement, but no, it's "They're Weird". My apologies to Gov. Walz.
  4. This is one of the things I theorized in this thread while Biden was still in the race and why I still felt that he'd win. A lot of the poll results didn't add up and I thought that all the results couldn't be explained by non-response and small sampling. I thought there were some intentionally poorly designed polls skewing results for a specific GQP objective but didn't dig deep enough to try and find reporting or evidence of it.
  5. If Walz isn't going to be VP, he needs to be out there spreading this gospel that he created and has practiced and perfected. It immediately struck a chord with so many in this thread and the socials, and I imagine pretty damn effective reaching the voters that need to be reached if heard day in and day out for the next 3+ months. https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/26/trump-vance-weird-00171470 Walz is one of the most important figures in this campaign after Harris, whatever role it ends up being. I'm damn glad he's on our side.
  6. I find it interesting that even this audience didn't erupt in hooting and hollering after he made both his references to ending elections in the country. Even this crowd acknowledges the crazy. All still voting for him, but to me if they can see the crazy, there's a lot of people just a bit less crazy that either will vote for someone else or stay home. He's really flying off the handle with this dictator stuff out in the open. Keep at it.
  7. I sure hope it's Walz. America is going to fucking love this guy. He's definitely the vibes VP. His complete exasperation with the GQP and his rural bona fides are going to resonate. He, more than any of the other VP candidates, seems to know what a phony Vance is and can articulate it effectively. Beyond that, what he's done governing Minnesota is incredible and that's a powerful message beyond the vibes. Walz will be America's First Uncle.
  8. I don't believe couches can consent so make that two rapists on the ticket.
  9. Well, I did it. Read 24 hours of posts in the last 90 minutes. Stupid work. Seemed like a light newsday other than the GQP continuing to hang itself as anticipated. One thing I'll chime in on is that there's is NO way Trump is going to be able to unchain himself from Vance. There are much more powerful people behind the scene that know they are one McD supersized combo from a Vance presidency if he gets elected. They know their platform, which effectively is let rich people do whatever the fuck they want and the hell with people and the planet, does not allow them to collect power via free elections. They've commandeered the Trump candidacy to achieve their objectives and no amount of ridicule heaped upon Trump for picking Vance will empower Trump to force a change. He's 100% stuck with him. Hammer his ass relentlessly for the next 100 days.
  10. Given the torrent like speed of the election cycle, it's hard to step back and take a broader look, but I was just exchanging texts with a friend and he reminded me that the Trump assassination attempt was only 10 days ago. You'd think a normal human would be affected in some way by such a profound event in their life. This guy is EXACTLY the same as he was before, if not even worse in rhetoric. This is not behavior of a normal human, +/- a million standard deviations. It's difficult to fathom how horrible of a person he is and the English language (or my vocabulary) is insufficient to the task.
  11. Is there some twitter account that posts all of Pete's Fox News appearances? I'd like to bookmark that now if so. That's going to be some must watch takedowns.
  12. Oh fuck not this again. There goes my productivity for the next one hundred something days.
  13. That's probably because Fox News is telling him she likes to give blowjobs.
  14. Beshear as VP nominee would annoy Trump. Dude looks like he came straight out of central casting. Then you contrast him against his counterpart, a short racist care bear.
  15. Someone needs to put together a mash up of Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" with Project 2025 proposals.
  16. Maybe I am being hyperbolic, but it feels like "We are not going back" is the start of a true movement.
  17. This thread should be renamed "we are not going back" That is so good. Brilliant.
  18. When you become the party of pure, unadulterated hate in plain sight, don't be surprised when the warrior summoned to destroy you is given latitude by the voters to be "mean to you". In a different world, she would have suffered in the polls for being a bitch to Trump, but this is the game they want to play and they set the rules. She's made for the moment.
  19. It seems like the new GQP pivot is basically Make __________ Women Mad Again. Do it. Just fucking do it assholes and get your comeuppance. They will bury you, forever.
  20. I think there's absolutely no doubt that Trump wants to sack Vance now, as performative art is really the only way he judges anyone, and Vance is a steaming hot pile of shit in that regard. While Trump outwardly projects strength, the real truth is that he is a puppet controlled by various factions. Internationally it's by people like Putin, but domestically it's by the tech bros who want him to be a lackey to their aspirations to dominate and profit off the AI revolution, i.e. Peter Thiel and co. There is zero chance those guys will let Trump sideline Vance and I'm here for the Truth Social meltdown over it that is coming in the weeks ahead.
  21. I don't know about his history and whether he has any weaknesses to exploit, but Doug Emhoff seems like he's likeable and an asset in public for Harris. Presumably spouses don't count for shit, except maybe Clinton, but I thought still notable.
  22. I think the way Harris surrogates have framed the electoral college on the shows in the last day leads me to believe that she's going to pick Cooper. There's a lot more talk about "expanding the map" than the blue wall. I think Beshears is more valuable as governor. If I were Harris, I'd pick Whitmer. She's a natural pol, the most talented retail Democrat since Obama. I don't think a two woman ticket would suffer in THIS election. No matter who it ends up being, she'll be deliberate with it. They need to see internal polls to see how many paths to 270 they have and the likelihood of those scenarios. There's also no reason not to ride out the tsunami of positive media coverage for the next couple weeks.
  23. Now it makes sense, JD Vance has a voice (and face) for writing books.
  24. One of the best decisions I've made in my career was about 4 years ago really was working harder to staff my team with more women, and finding ways to support their ability to work around their kids schedules. Then when my wife got a significantly larger team of her own a couple years ago, she asked me what's one piece of advice I'd tell her. Without hesitation I responded, "Hire women." We talked about this last night after the news was breaking and I was tearing up hearing endorsement after endorsement come in for Harris. That's how I feel about nearly all the women that have spent time in my org. They readily give you everything they've got if you support them. Their capacity to work just exceeds lazy ass men because they already do the lions share domestically in addition to having careers. Of course, there are shitty female employees too but as a general statement I stand by it. They've always shouldered a heavier burden so they don't shirk when the fire is hot. This is women's moment. To celebrate in November, I'm going to DEI hire the fuck out of my org in 2025. I'm ready to live in a woman's America. Not just POTUS, but in every facet of leadership. It's their time.
