  1. Lmao, their top 3 remaining commits are not signing next week.
  2. We don’t need to free up another spot. We only have 20 commits. For context, Sark took 25 last year and 28 the year before that.
  3. At least people will finally shut up asking about him.
  4. Yep, and his uncle Donovan (Dominic’s brother) is the Nebraska OL coach
  5. Didn't they move it to Houston years back and the attendance numbers were way down? Yep. Houston attendance sucked, and also, NRG stadium charges way more to host the games than Jerryworld does. Everyone makes it out to be some grand conspiracy, but it’s no secret that the schools and the UIL make way more money hosting the games in Arlington. That’s why they’re there.
  6. Even more specifically, it’s district 11-6A vs 21-6A. And Duncanville’s only loss is to DeSoto and South Oak Cliff’s two losses are to Duncanville and DeSoto. They’ve only lost to each other.
  7. I agree this isn’t a typical NS team, but this Duncanville team isn’t as great either. Most picks I saw at the beginning of the postseason still had North Shore winning it all.
  8. I guess they still have the talent advantage, but this is definitely not a vintage North Shore team.
  9. Duncanville cruising over North Crowley up 24-0 at the half.
  10. Final: DeSoto 45 Southlake 38. DeSoto didn’t even play all that well and still walk out with the W. Most talented team in the state.
  11. I loved the arguing with the ref after very clearly not getting in.
  12. Desoto forces a 3 and out after it’s latest turnover. Gets the ball back and scores on a 50 yard bubble screen. Up 42-31 now.
  13. Desoto has turned the ball over 4 times, if anyone is wondering how Southlake is keeping up with them.
  14. This DeSoto-SLC game is fun. Back and forth Desoto up 35-31 at the moment.
  15. And that’s after his state championship game. It’s also only early signing day.
  16. His high school team is still playing, they’re in the state championship next week. So I imagine that’s where his focus is. Makes sense to not expect any final decision from him until after the games are over.
  17. Wrong thread, my bad. Edit: I’ll leave it here anyway cuz lol.
  18. If Gbenda comes back for his Covid year, it’s 3 guys. And I expect one of our young guys to be physically ready by next year. It’s a luxury take position imo, if there’s an obvious stud available, of course you get him, but I don’t see it as a must.
  19. As a whole, for sure. But individually, no one has experience until they get it. Unless you abandon high school recruiting in its entirety, there’s going to be some inexperienced guys playing at the beginning of the year for every team. If you recruit well, it’s fine.
  20. Maybe we get a LB, I don’t know, but some of y’all are going to have to come to grips with the fact that some of the young unproven guys are going to play next year, and that’s ok. We’re not filling every position with the portal.
  21. As far as I know, there isn’t one, schools just have to make it work academically. Which would mean as long as they can register for classes. But a lot of this stuff is unclear, there could be some rule I don't know about.
  22. This answers a question some of us had earlier. The portal window does in fact extend for playoff teams. Problem is, there are only so many spots available, so the smart move for transfers from playoff teams is to still enter the portal right away.
