Seriously, us having more transfer credit difficulties with a school in the goddamn UT system than Alabama and LSU is both hilarious and sad.

There was some thought that DeSoto might choose to opt up, but nope, DeSoto is very likely dropping to 5AD1 next year. The District of Doom is no more. They might just be replaced by Lancaster though, so it will still be a great district. Also, Aledo is going to be cutting it really close.

The transfer portal closes one day after the semifinals and before the national championship. Unless there is an exception I don’t know about, I don’t think there’s much of a choice.

And Sark has re-established the pipeline this year anyways. My old man was at SMU during the Pony Express days and had a class with Eric Dickerson. Said he only ever saw him twice, the first day of class and the day of the final. And on the final he turned in his test back to the professor 45 seconds after they were handed out and left.

ACC Championship - #14 Louisville vs #4 FSU - 7pm on ABC
I hope the ACC goes the way of the PAC-12.

Much better chance FSU’s defense scores than Louisville’s offense.

This shit is unbelievable.

I feel bad for Florida State, but the committee has always said their job is to pick the 4 best teams, not the 4 most deserving, and there is no way you can argue that FSU is one of the 4 best teams right now.

BIG 12 CHAMPS - ADIOS MOFOS!
No matter what happens later today regarding the playoffs, I’m celebrating because Sark did it, he turned this shit around.

So we could see a Desoto vs Aledo matchup? That would be lovely Aledo would definitely be the the team that would come the closest, but I don’t see them hanging with Desoto either. They’re going to be cutting it close for sure, but I think the cutoff is expected to be a little bit higher this go round.

That’s a final now at that score. Desoto turned in enrollment numbers that clearly places them in 5A next realignment cycle. If they don’t choose to opt up, that’s going to be ugly for everybody else.

Cam Rising is coming back to college next year too, both were in that same class for us. Caden Sterns was also in that class and he will be entering his 4th season in the NFL next year.

We definitely need at least one big time transfer at WR and the kid from South Carolina would be that. I don’t think it’s as dire after that though. Like you said, Cook can be penciled in as a starter, he’d be playing a ton as a true freshman at almost any other program, we just have 3 super upper classmen. And I feel pretty confident that we can find a good #3 between Moore, Niblett, Neyor or Wingo. I’d definitely like to find a decent TE though.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2024: Bags Don't Beat Bankrolls
This is just demonstrably false. Swaim was a blocking TE in JuCO too. He only had 11 catches his last year at Butte CC. And he didn’t even play TE in high school. At no point in his life has he been a receiving threat.

Geoff Swaim is in the league because he can block. It’s his 8th year, he’s only had more than 13 catches in a season twice. He’s very good at what he does, but I wouldn’t consider him a threat in the intermediate pass game.

We all knew Maalik would be gone the moment Arch committed. I’m glad he at least stayed this year.

6A power is really concentrated. This is one of 3 districts that still have 3 teams remaining. The other two are 21-6A with North Shore, Summer Creek, and Atascocita. And 11-6A with Duncanville, DeSoto, and Cedar Hill. That’s 9 of the 16 6A teams remaining from 3 districts Also, 4-6A still has two teams (Byron Nelson and Southlake Carroll)

That date never made much sense if he insists on announcing with his brother. OSU already controlled their own destiny to get to the conference championship game when that date was set. I guess maybe he assumed OSU would lose again after that UCF game? But that’s a weird assumption to make when your brother is still on the team.

Aggy 2024: Still waiting on the Looch 44
Robinson would keep their roster together and most of the recruits in tow. But if he gets the job, it will essentially just be because the players like him. Hires like that rarely work out. And all the handwringing over Traylor’s resume seems silly if you just end up promoting your even less experienced DL coach.

Cedar Hill beats Tomball 28-7. Quite the run for a team that went 5-5 in the regular season. Games haven’t been close either, they’ve outscored their playoff opponents by a combined 149-28. Unfortunately for CH, next up is district rival DeSoto, who they lost to 35-13 in the regular season.

Poona had freakishly long arms and he still went undrafted. I think Murphy is a dawg, but yeah, NFL teams are going to hate his measurables.

Auburn is not even at the bottom of the SEC, they’re a bowl eligible middle of the pack team in the conference and they got the absolute shit beat out of them by New Mexico State. The SEC was not good this year.
