I’m thrilled he’s gone, it puts an end to the constant coddling this board does of him. The different reactions to him leaving compared to Wisner or Moore have been hilarious. They all did the same damn thing, except Livingstone went more out of his way to trash the program and then went to OU.
Just a reminder that portal rankings are pretty terrible, Amari Niblack had a higher portal ranking than Matthew Golden when we signed them. Top 50 list or whatever don’t matter, those lists aren’t well put together.
I'm a Durham fan too, probably because I've also watched too many Duncanville highlights over the years. He's originally from Oklahoma though, I remember OU fans thought they'd have an inside track on him early in his HS recruitment.
I would hope the staff weren't dumb enough to put all their eggs in one basket. There are several good RBs out there. This was an obvious miss by the staff, its stupid to try to act like it wasn't.
I'm more apathetic towards the team than I ever was under RT, which is crazy, the first year of a new coach is supposed to be all about hope for the future. This feels empty when the team is actually worse. Its obviously early, but in the transfer portal era, I don't' think coaches deserve as long of a leash as they did in the past.
That ain’t got shit to do with us. We got Arch next year and we won’t the year after, it makes sense to go all in with Arch, regardless of whether or not posters on a recruiting board are consistent about it or not.
I'm sure he has people working under him. I'm also sure he's not putting an idiot in charge of a projected first round pick. What exactly do you consider a good year? Because the Ole Miss kicker who was amazing last night, still missed 3 kicks this year. Also, blocked and tipped kicks just go down as misses too, so just looking at a stats page is not enough to know anything.
Lol at some of yall trying to pretend Livingstone wasn't the exact same situation as Wisner. Hell, it might be worse. He was the 4th best WR in a WR room we all thought was subpar. At least Wisner was #1 in his subpar position room.
I would say Texas Tech was no different than James Madison or Tulane, feasting on an easy schedule to get into the playoff, but James Madison scored 34 points on this Oregon team last week.
Could easily just be public negotiating, but the outlook on the 2026 roster/season changes dramatically if Goosby goes to the portal. All the talk about Texas doing so much in the portal would immediately seem like bullshit.
