  2. I hope Marion makes a big difference here, but we say this all the time until we miss out on almost all of the top WRs and end up signing guys like Casey Cain and Savion Red.
  3. That got handled pretty quickly.
  4. 5 since Tuesday. Myron Warren, Jaden Hullaby, Jordon Thomas, Dajon Harrison, Kelvontay Dixon.
  5. There’s definitely going to be some sort of market correction, whether that be through officially written rules or unofficially. I don’t expect things to be this wild long term, the first couple of years of this were always going to be rough because the NCAA never bothered to prepare for it even though it was inevitable to anyone with half a brain. It also should be no surprise that Miami is handling this in the dumbest fashion imaginable. This Ruiz dude seems like a moron, which is on par for Miami boosters.
  6. Now this is beyond free agency. About to be a whole lot of pearl clutching, even more than there already is. But on another note, it was totally stupid for this Ruiz dude to be so public about what he gave Nigel Pack to transfer there. This was a super predictable outcome.
  7. Lmao, “that area” is doing a lot of work there. Kupp is from Yakima, Washington. That’s like 700 plus miles away from Billings, Montana.
  8. Also high school teammate of ‘23 5-star JaKobe Walter.
  9. May just be following Shaheen Holloway to Seton Hall. He’s undersized but this dude was Saint Peter’s best player during their Cinderella run.
  10. Pretty sure the Clark Field collective is for all sports including basketball. But honestly basketball teams probably won’t need as many team wide NIL deals as football (or any other sport). Guys can get paid plenty individually. Smaller rosters, more visible players (no helmets) and basketball already has the built-in infrastructure to pay kids. It shouldn’t be too hard to just start funneling things through different NIL deals.
  11. Thought this dude was going pro for sure, but he’s in the portal, and would be a heavy contender for being the #1 transfer.
  12. The fact that we even get a hat tells me the NIL we’re offering is competitive. That kid isn’t leaving Iowa State just to settle for chump change somewhere else.
  13. Guess not. Although 247 doesn’t even have Antoine Davis in its transfer database. And On3 doesn’t appear to have Davis or Tyrese Hunter in theirs. Those are the two I’d have the hardest time understanding being ranked below Bates.
  14. He was dead wrong about Caleb Johnson like two days ago.
  15. Wow! Well you can say this about the staff, they don’t have very many leaks coming from them. 9.95ers are not clued in at all. At best we get a vague hint like an hour before shit happens.
  16. It does feel like a bit of a shame for him to focus mainly on football in the future. His form is not even very good yet, if he dedicated himself to track long term, hard to imagine that wouldn’t be his best sport, sky’s the limit there.
  17. Well, she was right, her son should've played. He's probably better than any of the edge guys that played for us last year.
  18. The only people who compare him to Bolt are the ones trying to discredit him for some weird reason. Comparing any high school kid to the fastest man ever in his Olympic prime is brain-dead behavior. But people do it anyway because Bolt was big and they can't think of any other comparisons. Bolt didn't even run the 100m in high school because his coaches thought he was too big, and this kid is even bigger.
  19. He's plays good defense, but it isn't good enough to make up for being a total non-factor offensively. I'm fine with him leaving.
  20. He was the Big 12 freshman of the year. Feels like the basketball portal has a lot more quality in talent than the football one. Given the dynamics of the sport, working the portal well is going to be more important than high school recruiting for a lot of schools.
  21. The schools provide just about everything else for these kids and you think they won’t provide tax help? This is a silly concern. Nobody wants their star player arrested for tax evasion, it will be taken care of.
