  1. This is why the people who were whining about Brennan Marion possibly not being here long are dumb as hell. You want a coach on the upswing, the alternative is the shitty coaches we’ve been hiring.
  2. Are we not interested in the Murphy twins? Two edge rushers for the price of one. They announced they were transferring 3 days ago, already got offers from USC, UCLA, Penn State, West Virginia, Kansas, Oregon State, etc. They are in-state kids and both had great years last year.
  3. Well, they’re an FCS school. I think everybody understands that. And I’m good with Deion taking Perkins away from aggy.
  4. Legit might be the best play Okafor ever made here. It’s not like that highlight reel is super long.
  5. Well, we supposedly lead for Mathis, so if we close that one out, that’ll be your DE/Edge. Moody is the LB transfer. I can’t garner any excitement about him, I think he’s a JAG, but I guess JAG is still better than Brockemeyer.
  6. Landing Neyor is a big f’in deal. Top 2 or 3 WR that went in the portal. Changes the whole outlook of the offense IMO. Feels weird to have a WR coach that doesn’t suck. It’s been a while.
  7. He was their top WR this year. Only the TE Bowers had more yards and TDs. But being the top WR at Georgia still meant less than 500 yards because Stetson Bennett is limited as a passer.
  8. Two quick questions. Do you know that the C in S&C stands for conditioning? And do you know what conditioning means? Because routinely losing leads in the second half pretty directly points to a conditioning issue. Your statement is literally the worst way to make the point you’re trying to make.
  9. This is silly and would be overwhelmingly laughed at if we saw it from any other fan base.
  10. Moody is a spare. We just had a group of LB/Edge guys come in last year and not do shit, one of whom was also from Bama. This feels a lot more like that than anything else.
  11. Congratulations? Everyone already knew that, the staff are the only ones who put any energy into him, that’s why I said tell them. It doesn’t hurt, I agree, but it was still a waste of time. I’m more aggravated about how they didn’t even get a visit from Neyor. WR is the most abundant position in the portal, I did not think we would go into the spring without an addition there.
  12. He showed no promise at all. No pocket awareness, inaccurate, and routinely rattled. The staff desperately wanted him to be the starter and he couldn’t keep it against Casey Thompson’s noodle arm. If he plays for us next year, we’re fucked. He can go discover his ceiling at Incarnate Word
  13. Was mentioned by Roach at one point I think (I know that isn’t worth much).
  14. I can’t find a single good thing to say about Harris, but it does feel like he gets used as a scapegoat for the rest of the staff. I don’t know what any of these guys are doing with the portal at the moment.
  15. So, you’re okay with saying other players suck, just not Jett Bush, that sounds like a personal problem, the rest of us don’t have to follow your inconsistent guidelines. And if the entire DL is underperforming, that could easily speak to a scheme issue. It’s not like these defensive coaches have covered themselves in glory, there’s no reason to give them the benefit of the doubt over the players, and it’s not an either/or situation. You can doubt both groups.
  16. Well if he did get paid, the next top WR will probably get paid too. Good players get paid, everyone knows the deal, that can’t be an excuse forever.
  17. For future reference, this staff feeling “confident” means absolutely jack shit.
  18. I legit will not binge hour long dramas for this reason. Two episodes max in a sitting. More serious shows usually need more time to breathe. When you watch a show also changes the game. With Breaking Bad, that show was all about Walters descent into madness and the viewer realizing they shouldn’t be rooting for him anymore. It worked in real time, because viewers could still hold out hope for redemption pretty deep into the show, but if you watched the show much later, you probably already heard/knew Walter was going to descend into irredeemability from the get go. Which means you probably didn’t root for him that much from the get go either. With no rooting interest and no hope for redemption, I can see how that show can become just miserable people doing miserable shit every episode.
  19. I loved Breaking Bad, but if I’m recalling correctly, I think the first season got caught up in the writers strike, and as a result, it’s shorter and not that great. I was all in by season 2 though.
  20. Season 2 was good, season 5 was the weakest. It’s still better than Deadwood though. The journalist subplot was the worst of the series, it’s the only part of the show I dislike rewatching. I rewatched both The Wire and the Sopranos back when the pandemic first started. Both are all time greats, but I thought the Wire aged A LOT better. The right answer is the Wire
