  1. state of Texas contributes more than the student body to UT? I honestly don't know the answer to that question. Does the state contribute more than all the tuition, fees, etc the students pay? At one time, probably so, but with tuition increases, maybe?
  2. Oh I know. I'm saying he should reverse course, admit it was a mistake to ask for DPS help, and tell them to GTFO campus.
  3. I keep hearing about "anti-semitism" in these protests. I scoured the net looking for any sign of violence, destruction, or anti-semitism in that protest and found zero. I saw students who were watching the protest wearing Israeli flags and saw no evidence of any anti-semitism directed toward them. If I'm wrong, somebody please correct me. If the fucking proud boys can march with guns and torches and chant "The jews will not replace us," why is not ok for students to march in support of Palestine or Gaza or even Hamas? Or be against Israel? Again, show me the violence or destruction. Hartzell needs to do the right thing- tell DPS to GTFO campus, or resign. Abbott needs to DIAF. The presence of the jack booted thugs, oh sorry, I meant DPS troopers was an unnecessary provocation and escalation. tldr: Fuck abbott, fuck DPS, fuck Hartzell. Also: fuck Israel AND Hamas.
  4. You never hear it spoken because no knows how to say it
  5. Dumb question amnesty please: Can these vehicles, cyberturky specifically but any EV in general, be disconnected from the internet and still function? Because fuck letting a company use my vehicle as part of a data center.
  6. I have a co-worker who whenever he needs to make a decision about something will say "I'll pray on it."
  7. If the church isn't getting its taste, doing business on the sabbath is a sin.
  8. Absolutely no reason, other than turdition, that Biden has to let the DOTarD get briefed. Biden should deny the briefings, and if he gets called out, issue a statement something like "Given the fact that the Republican nominee is currently under criminal indictment for mishandling of confidential documents, as well as the reports of his cavalier attitude to top secret information during his time at the White House, we have decided to deny his request to be part of these briefings."
  9. My elderly step mom got t-boned, car totaled, pretty serious injuries, lots of medical bills, can't drive herself anymore, loss of mobility, yadda yadda yadda, and of course, getting fucked by insurance companies. I'm seven hours from Austin, and my attorney wife doesn't practice PI anyway. Anybody? DM me or post up in here, either way is fine by me.
  10. o/u on how long a kid gets shot either because a) accidental discharge b) student steals/finds gun c) teacher loses their shit d) draws down on a student when they shouldn't have

  12. Gets convicted, no real consequences other than some fines which he will never pay is my choice. Loses/wins election is a toss up.
  13. I'm sure he learned his lesson. He'll be supporting DoTARd from now on.
  14. Devin Nunes is coming after the free market. Dude has gone full commie. Never go full commie.

  16. Confined to a Mar a Lago all summer long. Hurricane knocks out the power. In south Florida, in the summer, no AC. Should be fun. Also, I'd love to see that fat ass play a round of golf in S. Florida in the summer.
  17. Then just try him again. Run him around the track one more time.
  18. Honestly, I think NPR kind of sucks on the whole. About the only thing I like about them are the hourly news headlines my local affiliate plays. Having said that, NPR is by far the best US-based news source on the radio, period.
  19. Depends on the depth of the aquifer (assuming there is one), porousness of the overlying soil/rock, how much gets sucked up by evapotranspiration, etc etc etc. Short answer: Maybe in some relatively few cases, mostly probably not. But even in those relatively few cases, its better to just fix the leaks as much as possible and leave the billions of gallons of wasted water in the ground/river/wherever.
