  1. Browsing a thread, see a post that I can reply to with a pity, funny comment that is sure to get multiple likes, and realize the post is a year old.
  2. Hold on, I've seen a number of 7th grade football games... actually, no, you are correct good sir.
  3. Are Americans really divided about hating FSU? Other than floridians, I guess.
  4. I actually like El Paso, its a great city, except for the horrible horrible air quality (and i guess their insane judges).
  5. they only have to pay her in kibble and "who's a good girl?" Advantage aggy
  6. should have gotten a couple of burritos while he was there.
  7. like a piece of corn in a pile of shit: You guys keep saying this kind of stuff, but every time you do, texas surprises. They weren't supposed to beat Alabama, but they did. They weren't supposed to beat Georgia a few years back, but they did. I won't be surprised if they show up to the SEC and surprise everyone. You guys routinely overestimate SEC football. I think in some ways it makes you feel better about our own football program. Facts are, horns are a pretty good football team, which is unfortunate given that Elko May need some time to work his magic with this team. It comes across as sour grapes.
  8. Judge Don Willett, a Trump appointee, was the dissenting vote in the ruling, arguing that the Rio Grande cannot accommodate commercial boat traffic and is therefore not navigable. That's not the federal definition of a navigable water way. Also, the two who ruled against Abbott are liberals, appointed by Biden and Carter. Abbott will request an en banc ruling, which will not go the same way.
  9. Videos are definitely worth the watch https://elpasomatters.org/2023/11/06/video-judge-bonnie-rangel-admonished-over-courtroom-behavior/ This is her video pitch for a "judge judy"-like TV show: I would like to emphasize that this person has won re-election twice since the second video was made, in 2015.
  10. Flew Ryan Air this summer from London to Hamburg. Short flight, crowded, but on time. Flew British Airways from Heahtrow back to Austin. 1.5 hour delay once we boarded because "a gasket was hanging out of one of the engines, so we need to get an engineer to look at it." Finally left, then we landed, another two hour delay after landing, because "another plane is blocking our terminal". Then another hour delay waiting for our luggage because the luggage conveyor had a "logjam". Not to mention the BA flight attendants make your MIL look like a saint. Plus the food was absolutely terrible. British air plane food. Shudder.
  11. Holy God, I worked on a roofing crew in Austin for two summers during school. Fcuk getting on a roof for any reason now.
  12. You forgot Ben White. East of Interregional it was Bastrop HWY.
  13. I still accidentally call it 19th sometimes. Not because I'm THAT old, but because my dad and other older relatives always called it that. 26th will always be 26th, however. As will Town Lake.
  14. serious question- how is that front end any worse than the front end of the monsters on the road today?
  15. I was left alone a few times in HS. I never threw parties. I'd rather just have a gf over for the night. #priorties
  16. Anybody have any clips from the debate? Post em up! I need some lulz today.
  17. I could be wrong, but I think in Florida, its a criminal offense if you don't leave them alone for a night by the time they are ten or so.
  18. I'll bet money he has CTE
  19. three way triangle of hate bro
  20. I have literally never mowed my "yard", which is basically a fenced in cow pasture. Between the dogs and drought (and yes, neglect), there is nothing to mow. I do have to occasionally weed eat around the trees that I water to keep from dying.
  21. lets not forget he pretty much ran the show when the US overthrew the democratically elected president of Chile and installed a puppet dictator, which ended up causing decades of misery for that country. https://nsarchive2.gwu.edu/NSAEBB/NSAEBB437/
  22. Many years ago, we went on safari in Kenya. Stayed at this "Ecolodge" that was just across a river from the preserve. The rooms were just permanent tents. To get to the bar or restaurant, you had to walk outside. Baboons would come into area and fuck shit up. The rules were: 1. Never leave anything outside your tent. It would be gone in seconds, stolen by a baboon. 2. If you wanted to walk somewhere (to the bar, your car, whatever) at night, you turned on a light, and a guy with a spear would come to escort you to protect you from the baboons. None of the locals or natives were concerned about leopards, cheetahs, lions, hippos. They stayed away from anyplace with humans. Baboons however, did not GAF, and would fuck you up if you tried to scare them off, or whatever.
