  1. Are we talking about tiddies here?
  2. Either a JET JT-300, supposedly the necks are nice for the price or maybe I visit the big Thomann store in Germany if I make it to Stuttgart before/after my visit to the UK. There I could try oodles of cheapo guitars. I am at the opposite end of most buyers in this thread.
  3. Because perhaps it wasn’t really “a routine training exercise”.
  4. This started in 2000. Calling out “elites” who thought they were smarter than other people. It was a successful PR strategy. It has grown over the last 25 years.
  5. I have been thinking about possibly buying a guitar this summer in Europe. If I do, and it’s a bolt on, I was planning on separating the neck and packing it in a checked bag. Maybe check the neck and put the body in my carry-on. Don’t understand why this isn’t common.
  6. Rewatched it. Obvious travel. Not a question. Should be reviewed, basket wiped off.
  7. As Jerry Jones says… It’s not all smiles & glory holes.
  8. Ed grew up on a farm. He probably wrestled bulls for fun. If you are 275 lbs and country strong, you can rip people’s heads off. At 300 lbs on a soccer (fútbol ⚽️) pitch, you OBVIOUSLY “stand out”. A soccer goal is 24 feet wide. It would be easy to get the ball by him. Lots of players can make the ball curve.
  9. I was freaking out about all of the snow up at Mammoth, where I had gone for an end of year ski trip with an LA group who didn’t care about the game. It started dumping NYE and we were scheduled to drive back New Year’s Day, but the road out of townwas closed and we had to scramble to find some random accommodations. Smart phones with 5 weather apps didn’t exist back then and road closures were all word of mouth while waiting in line at a local coffee shop. I was worried that we were going to roll out of Mammoth at 12pm on the 4th and get back to LA at 5;30pm+ and I was going to miss out on going to the game. Everything worked out.
  10. Every time Clark takes the Super Bowl trophies by St. Mark’s, Hockaday, and/or Highland Park, he builds his Texas fan base. Beach volleyball says WHAT? Actually… KC won on the field. Just a well coached team.
  11. I was on a call, but I was wondering if it was possible to “reassign” RT to a different job in the Athletic Department at halftime. Has anyone addressed that yet?
  12. She beat four Top 10 seeds (#10, #6, #2, & #1), plus Ukrainian Warrior MILF, Elina Svitolina, who is a former Top 5 player still building her ranking back up after time off to squeeze out a pup. I can’t recall a more impressive run for any female or male. May have to buy a Yonex. (I always loved them when Martina Navratilova used them.)
  13. This double image of top OL prospects is giving me this imposter vibe. “Kracka”
  14. Sabalenka basically did a vaudeville act for her runner-up speech. “As usual, this was all your fault. I hate you…” More or less. She had about 4 to 6 cracks that were damned funny.
  15. Every year I crack up that the head of Tennis Australia starts talking in her American accent. Jayne Hrdlicka, from Wichita, Kansas… as fucking Australian as it fucking gets!
  16. O. M. G. !! Never thought that I would see Madison Keys keep her nerve to win a Grand Slam! Holy Shit! She’s hugging everyone.
  17. It’s only happened once or twice in this match and I have only noticed it a couple of other times I this tournament, but there is major excitement before it is warranted in comparison to the video and the crowd noise.
  18. Do not like that the announcers are about 2-3 seconds ahead of the action. You don’t notice except for when an announcer gets really excited and blurts something out before a point is finished or the great shot is made.
  19. Some cyborg has taken over Madison’s brain. 🧠 This is absolutely insane! Definitely a dream start for Keys. Just crazy solid.
  20. I read Tayfuk’s first name trying to figure out how he could possibly pronounce it. I was trying to guess the ethnicity of Tayfuk’s parents? Japanese? Somewhere else in Asia? Or maybe American, but with a different background and emphasis on education when compared to my family. Then I moved onto his last name. Ifino could possibly be Italian (pronounced “eef-EE-no”, of course), but it didn’t really jibe with that first name. Then I imagined what kind of last name I would make up to go with that first name and…
  21. This give off 2000s through late 2010s vibes that would have our mid game ads declaring… “WE ARE [MANCHESTER UNITED] !!”
  22. I started watching the Sinner v Shelton at 0-2 in the first set and Sinner reeled off 3 straight before Shelton held to go to 3-3 and I thought… That Germanic white boy from Tyrol is going to win this match in straight sets. Shelton seemed to want to hit the net on every serve and even when he got the ball in, Sinner had the rally at a neutral exchange after his second hit. Sinner is currently several levels above Shelton.
  23. Must have been ESPN, because I think that is where I saw the story or the notice scrolling along the bottom. I think that they adjusted things after that Top 100 scrub QB transferred to (transitioned at?) Cal*. *”Cal” beat out “Cak“ for the kid’s signature.
