I just took a quick nap and even though I hadn’t been reading about soccer today, I had a dream that saw a USMNT release show and someone fairly past their prime was announced and then they announced CLINT DEMPSEY as a veteran player in the locker room and a super sub off the bench.
Just be glad that that was only a random dream.
Awkward to post and then OD.
Rich people don’t die at 65 unless something really wrong happens/ aggressive disease.
He must have been dead too long this time before he was discovered. According to some article I just perused, he has OD’d and been cold to the touch before.
Apparently he wasn’t at the NFL Meetings or back home in Indy.
My guess is definitely that he OD’d.
These are the odds to win the French Open:
One problem is that…
A woman with better odds to win than Anisimova, Schnaider, Osaka, Jabeur, Navarro, and Pegula is…
BIANCA ANDRESCUU
…and yet she didn’t even qualify to play in the tournament.
She opened qualies with a 6-0 , 6-0 match on Tuesday and then had match points on Wednesday and lost.
😆
Whoops!!
Sloane did a week on T2 (Tennis Channel’s 2nd channel) either the first week of the Italian Open or the week before that. She did the round table bit where they watch games live and comment on the match, the players, stories of difficulty playing in conditions like that, favorite memories from that tournament…
More of a conversation between tennis fans/former players while watching a match than actual play-by-play and color commentary.
They also bring in a guest (via video) each hour to interview them (frequently while a match is still showing via split screen.
There is an aspect of The Today Show / Good Morning America / The View to the daytime programming of T2 and it can serve as a boot camp for helping former players to become more comfortable contributing live, in front of the camera.
I just watched the Italian Open Men’s Final and boy did Sinner choke at times and boy did Álcaraz do some shit that left you asking- “How did you save that? Are you fucking kidding me?!?!”
Also, Sinner’s Italian is totally fine at this point. (I think that he went to the national tennis center at 14 years of age, so he’s had time to perfect it with peers & coaches.
But if I understand some of his Italian, he thanked the crowd for coming and supporting him and then I think that he mentioned that his brother went to the Formula 1 race in Italy instead of coming to watch him in the final.
They cut to his parents (Hanspeter & Siglinde Sinner) and the dad smiles in amusement and the mom chuckled at the mention of a sibling choosing the race over his brother.
Álcaraz will be the overwhelming favorite in Paris when final odds come out.
On the Tennis Channel right now we have a replay of today’s match in Strasbourg between Ashlyn Krueger and McCartney Kessler and I am realizing that this is finally confirmation that these two women are not, in fact, the same person.
They both have minimal personalities attached to their tall blonde, long-legged slim bodies.
🤷♂️😴
Luc de Jong, who Pepi outplayed from the bench up until his knee injury, somehow was named to the Eredivisie 1st Team squad.
Really?
…okay…
Says a lot about that league.
These scores always make me chuckle.

👆 [iPhone suggested emoji for “chuckle”. I most likely won’t be using that emoji much/ever in the future, at least not on Surly.]
Scottie!
Such a calm putter. Moves like a sloth 🦥 when putting.
He’s pretty low key. It’s still comical how that off-duty cop was able to escalate his tripping and ripping his pants into an arrest of a polite guy who moves like a sloth.
🦥
Apparently, he is much more Panama Myers than George Mueller…
Except that he has George’s height.
This is a lump of clay that I think this coaching staff can mold into something that can help our team. No tripping over his feet and falling down while just running down court.
