That sucks for Croatia’s GD. That was a sure goal before the Rodri love tap.

If you go to the ground and roll more than twice, you should receive a yellow card for time wasting.

Modric is starting to resemble Willie Nelson.
  4. He hit a 3 last night, but great point.
  5. Charles Barkley says he's retiring from TV after 2024-25 Charles Barkley says next season will be his final one on TV. Barkley, part of the highly popular, award-winning "Inside the NBA" studio show, said Friday night that the 2024-25 season will be his last with TNT and that he won't be joining any other network beyond that either. "I ain't going nowhere other than TNT," Barkley, 61, said on NBATV after the Dallas Mavericks' Game 4 victory over the Boston Celtics on Friday night. "But I have made the decision that, no matter what happens, next year is going to be my last year on television. And I just want to say thank you to my NBA family. You guys have been great to me. My heart is full with joy and gratitude." The NBA has been negotiating its next media rights deals, which would begin in the 2025-26 season. While the NBA hasn't announced what the deals will look like, Disney/ABC/ESPN, Amazon, NBC and Warner Bros. Discovery have been vying for what's reported to be three available packages of games and affiliated content worth an estimated $76 billion to the league over a decade. If Warner Bros. Discovery is the odd media company out, it would mean the end of games on TNT and no more "Inside the NBA." "I hope the NBA stays with TNT, but for me personally, I wanted you guys to hear it from me ... I wanted to tell my NBATV and TNT family that I'm not going to another network, but I'm going to pass the baton to either Jamal Crawford or Vince Carter or you Steve [Smith]," Barkley said. "But next year, I'm going to just retire after 25 years, and I just wanted to say thank you. And I wanted y'all to hear it from me first." Ahead of the NBA Finals, commissioner Adam Silver called the media rights process "incredibly complex" based on the technology involved (broadcast, cable and streaming), the competing bidders and a timeline stretching into an unpredictable future. Asked about the potential end of the Sports Emmy Award-winning "Inside the NBA," with host Ernie Johnson and former players Shaquille O'Neal, Kenny Smith and Barkley, if WBD's contract with the league next spring ended, Silver said he sympathized with the situation. "[To] the folks at Turner Sports, I apologize that this has been a prolonged process, because I know they're committed to their jobs," he said. "It's a large part of their identity and their family's identity, and no one likes this uncertainty. I think it's on the league office to bring these negotiations to a head and conclude them as quickly as we can." https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/40354302/charles-barkley-says-next-season-final-one-tv

My writing of “1/110th” the population was supposed to be “1/100th”. Even without wearing my readers 👓, I have no idea how I ended up with “1/110th”. Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, USA, Canada, Mexico and a few others all added Germans after WWII, so I’m thinking that you can’t write any of them off in the Copa America either. (I bet that you did nazi that coming.)

They are probably embarrassed that one of their best players is American. PS- If Weah ever develops into a top player, he won’t be “American”, he’ll be… “The son of World Player of the Year, George Weah, who came up through the PSG academy.” …please let him go before the Copa America, so we see how shitty Gregg is without BJ, so that Gregg doesn’t make it to August, 2024.

The Croatian elf has played in Spain 🇪🇸 for roughly a decade. It will be like brothers fighting on a pitch. Uruguay basically has 1/110th of our population. If this is how you get depressed, you should be depressed as fuck. What fucking continents have you played on? We have standards here, bub! 🇦🇷🇺🇸

Look who influenced the series of events that led to Brazil’s goal.

    USMNT 2024

I think that Gregg is a brainless sack of shit. Think that with the uproar after the last game, he looked to his assistants (BJ) for help in turning the team around. I just don’t think that Gregg has the cognitive ability to succeed if he is making the decisions.

I noticed that when they mentioned that 3 from 29 stat at the start of the game. There is something wrong there. I wonder has many assists he has. Brazil didn’t look like a team that can win the Copa. I think that Uruguay or Colombia are worth placing bets on to win the Copa.

EXPLANATION: Berhalter You shouldn’t be. Brazil scored 4 goals in the 2nd half, but the refs only counted 3 of them. Brazil should have been pissed that there wasn’t VAR. I looked it up this week. It’s “Alisson”. (1 L, 2 S’s) Turner made about 5 or 6 great saves. Looked like a different human being after starting the play that led to Brazil’s goal. Turner also had about 4 to 5 saves that were basically the same quality as a back pass to a good GK. Turner also had a great punch out clearance on a low cross that doesn’t count as a save, but was a much more spectacular play than at least 5 of his saves.

That was interesting wall construction. I wonder if French architects were consulted during the blueprint phase of its planning.

Was thinking that in February, the team’s numbers should incorporate these colors. …and in October, the numbers should be this color. …and a variation of this jersey should always be in the rotation.

    USMNT 2024

UPDATE: She stopped slouching once she arrived to the pregame set. 👏👏 She was almost leaning back. She was kicking a soccer ball while other girls were taking ballet lessons, so it’s not totally unexpected that she is not a posture queen PS- The pregame round table hostess just pointed out that it’s so hot in Orlando that it is “10° cooler in Brazil than Orlando.” Ummmm… 1) Brazil is a massive country in both the northern and southern hemispheres. 2) It is winter in most of Brazil. 3) It is an hour later in the evening in most of Brazil, especially the population centers. (But actually 2 time zones later due to the East Coast’s clocks being an hour ahead of what they should be due to Daylight Savings Time.

Watching the pregame… When a girl walks with a slouch-> future hunch back (the sideline reporter who I believe plays for Colombia’s women’s team), it distracts me from the questions she asks and how attractive she could be. I know that she’s doing her job and isn’t dressing up for me, but she’s wearing a skin-tight white top that is bearing one-shoulder, so showing off was definitely the intent when choosing that outfit. STOP SLOUCHING!!

When you have two consulates in one state, you have an assload of expats to take care of! Something that always cracks me up, but that we won’t be seeing tonight… We’re not seeing a “signature win” between today and the middle of July. Again, it wasn’t that we didn’t beat Colombia, it was the fact that the players came in talking about the 2026 World Cup, they didn’t care about the Copa America or the Colombia friendly, and we got humiliated as the team gave up. Gregg’s “signature win” was tying England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 0 - 0. His 2nd best result was beating an over ranked Iran 🇮🇷 team 1 - 0 thanks to a poor shot being saved off the goal line in the dying minutes of the match. His 3rd best result was beating a jet-lagged Morocco 🇲🇦 team that was missing some of its best players due to turmoil involving its manager. That was a 3 - 0 win against a team that hadn’t really practiced together. Absolutely nothing indicates that Gregg’s team will deliver a signature win, especially if Christian Pulisic is the designated set piece taker. Set pieces used to be a strength and our best scoring opportunities (as a nation), now they are opportunities to catch our breath.

    USMNT 2024

If we win, it doesn’t matter HOW we play. If we lose, then it matters HOW we play and that will be taken into account with how we play in the Copa I didn’t think that there was any possibility that Gregg would be fired before the 2026 World Cup, but with that international embarrassment vs Colombia, I now think that there is a possibility that he could actually get replaced. What are you?… related to Gregg Berhalter or something? If not for a 97” own goal, we are 0-4 over that time period because we don’t play Mexico 🇲🇽, because we don’t play that final. Gregg Berhalter has sucked since he was hired the first time. He is a worthless piece of rat shit as an international manager and he has no business managing the USMNT.

    USMNT 2024

I would not mind Berhalter displaying his idiocy again. He’s been the national team manager for 5 years and he’s still a shit-for-brains. Also: 5:00pm: Pregame on TNT 6:00pm: Anthems & Kickoff Early start, maybe due to the NBA Finals.

    Anyone pulling for Brazil tonight?
  23. I’m watching Koepfer 🇩🇪 🌊 play Musetti 🇮🇹 in Stuttgart. The Boss Open Pulling for the Kraut because he went to Tulane and the W.O.P. has bugged me since he would lie down on the ground after each match win in Acapulco in 2021 and his defeated opponent would have to stand at the net and wait for his act to run its course. Plus… Musetti had a massive chin mole thing that he should have dealt with at a young age and I’ve never been a fan of hairy moles. Moles that practically had their own pelt Anyway, after some back-and-forth in the 3rd set, Musetti is now serving for the match at 5-3 15-15.
