  1. My dad was stationed out at an AFB in Pyote, TX (pronounced “PIE-yoat”). It was nothing but wasps nests nearly 50 years ago. (My dad is no longer with us.)
  2. Yeah, unless he drops 15 lbs and learns the position, he’s not going into the draft next year. He can “go pro” as an UDFA, but he won’t go “in the draft”. If he switches to safety in June, then it is a “wait & see” regarding next year’s draft.
  3. Her parents are Argentine (at least her dad is) and not Catholic, so they definitely don’t tithe… or pay taxes. IN OTHER NEWS: Danimal is on a mission and up a set & a break against C. Garcia right now. Danielle is absolutely crushing the ball and doesn’t give a shit if this is a clay court or not.

  5. Rafael Nadal got bent over and reamed out. 6 6 Hurkacz 1 3 Nadal Also, Tiafoe is falling and Korda is rising. I think that the Top 4 Americans qualify for the Olympics as the rankings stand after the French Open (as it is with the women). There is a possibility that Korda nudges Tiafoe out of that 4th spot, with Fritz, Shelton, and Paul being pretty locked into the top 3 spots. Korda & Fritz matchup tomorrow (Sunday).
  6. Messi doesn’t like it, but the MLS is probably the test league for an awesome new rule. Messi unhappy with MLS sideline rule despite Miami victory Inter Miami's Lionel Messi expressed his anger over the new Major League Soccer rule that forces an injured player to the sideline for two minutes, saying, "These types of rules...it's going bad," after exiting the pitch during a 3-2 victory over host Montréal on Saturday night. In the 40th minute of the match, Montréal defender George Campbell fouled the Argentine forward, forcing him to go down immediately while holding his knee. Miami's medical staff rushed to the scene to attend to the player, but Campbell did not receive a yellow card for the incident. Because of new MLS regulations, "If the referee stops play due to a potential player injury in which the player remains on the ground for more than 15 seconds and the medical staff enters the field of play, the player may be required to leave the field of play for two minutes." Messi exited the pitch in a crucial moment, after the foul inspired a free kick for Miami in a prime position for the player to score. During his brief stint on the sideline, the player turned to the camera to express disdain while angrily shaking his head. Following the game, Miami coach Gerardo Martino expressed the team's frustration over the new rule by adding: "There are situations that must be revised. I can see why a league in the USA & Canada would be more than happy to test out this new rule. With football & hockey being the two biggest sports in the region, fans don’t like the bullshit. College football, and especially the SEC, needs to enact some kind of similar rule, but much more than “2 minutes”.

It would be cool to see him get a 10th assist in all competitions to be a double-double guy.
  9. Ons has been coming out of her slump (health issues?) and yet our little Femme Nikita managed to beat her in 3.

He said that all kids want to play for Man Citeh and I thought… 🤮 ESPN chat about it. Man Citeh probably spends less on player acquisition than ManU does, but they do it the REAL (Madrid) way. Buy the rights to a ton of super talented kids and then wait to see who pans out. ManU are fucking idiots. This kid may do something someday, maybe he doesn’t. The positive is that this will be a blip for a few days vs Freddy Adu being seen as the second coming of Pelé at the age of 13/14.
  11. I feel like someone has posted about this before. 🤔 I'm sure like most people his age, Arch only listens to his parents, and only the parts he wants to hear. Next up on the list would be grandparents, but I doubt the uncles are hitting him up on the regular...and like you said there are no mafia style family meetings. "the Manning family" does things, as if they operate out of some sort of mafia war room

  15. Here I thought that someone was going to comment on the Professional Lacrosse League's draft tonight. https://premierlacrosseleague.com/draft It would be cool if a club lax player who just didn't feel like leaving the state for college ended up getting drafted some day, but I doubt that that would happen.
  16. 1) I don't think that you will find many people who will think that gutting Harbaugh's staff = gutting Jumbo Fisher's staff. 2) I think that most people think that Michigan will be taking a step back this season. 3) I think that most people think that A&M will be slightly improved this season. (Maybe they will have less talent, but there is almost no way that the culture won't be significantly healthier than last year.) 4) The only obvious regardation from your ag friend's statements is: "if Texas doesn't win it'll be an embarrassment for the entire UT program." I wouldn't consider it an "embarrassment", but I would consider it a disappointment and a huge missed opportunity.

  18. I read that he played in 3 games and has 4 years of eligibility remaining. Also, judging by that neck (or lack there of), 290 lbs seems more accurate than 250 lbs.
