  1. Hate to see it. That poor maimed janitor may never get paid
  2. Sorry for your loss. Story really hits close to home because that's pretty much my relationship with my now 20 year old son. We've caught literally thousands of fish together. From the time he was 4 to about 13, he'd come wake me up at 5 am every Saturday during the summer. There were plenty of days I just wanted to sleep in but I never did and am damn glad I have those memories. Because he's a little self absorbed shit now (much like I was at that age), though I hold out hope he'll one day be drafting a similar post many years from now.
  3. So the ND interior OL transfers like yelling at media? Let's introduce them to FCB and Kirk on their visit, they won't even ask for NIL for the chance to come here
  4. For the posters in the know about how the process works, what are the opportunities to play this little game theory exercise of making your rivals pay more? I assume everything is run through an agent? Does the agent do an auction type where it's all in the open (Oregon just offered 1.1, Texas or OSU can you beat it?) or is it more of a submit your final and best offer by 3 pm? I imagine if you get too cute and offer 1 mm for a player you're only willing to pay 500k for, it gets a little tough to back out of it due to reputational risk, but I assume we could take a risk and slightly overpay on an offer just in the hopes of fucking up someone's payroll.
  5. I like it. We'll call it the players unlimited fund, or PUF.
  6. You've got to make sure your opponent has great speed and an all world safety on that one, as it works better then.
  7. Let's be honest, it's likely nobody here would remember Brees had he committed to Texas. That Tiller offense was perfect for him and I suspect we'd have been doing the square peg round hole routine with him.
  8. It's a legit term, I looked it up- it's a town in the Texas panhandle.
  9. Hell if I know. He's originally from Refugio, which is odd that a tiny town in South Texas cranked out 2 stud DBs for us in the 80s.
  10. Maybe already posted but Jalen Lott's father James played DB and high jumped for Texas, and his mom played hoops for Texas. Have to think we've got a decent inside track on that one, assuming he's deemed a take.
  11. 16 already? They grow up so fast. Seems like just yesterday he was getting his first pair of gray pajama bottoms.
  12. Or dudes know they can't get NIL until they graduate high school, at least in Texas.
  13. If I recall Mrs smith was all in on the concept of God relaying his wishes directly through her husband, until God suddenly took an interest in Joseph banging teenage girls. Odd. Which reminds me, in the movie it was creepy as fuck when Brigham was blessing the 2 girls and kissing their heads.
