  1. This was my verbatim response to him. Though he is intrigued by "hedging" SDSU using the points line and hitting both sides. All sorts of valuable life skills being taught in the Wulaw free money invitational.
  2. Boji nights?
  3. Even if it made fiscal sense (it doesn't), can you even sue a state agency? Have they expressly waived sovereign immunity for this type of claim? See Leach v. Board of Regents of Texas Tech, 833 S.W.2d 510 (Tex. 2014). Relax lawyers, I made that citation up so don't go looking for it.
  4. My son's response when I told him it's either $100 or nothing for me depending on a UConn win Monday night- "you could bet 1/2 on SDSU so you're guaranteed a win."
  5. No, that's Jim Dickskin.
  6. I was going to ask for the same clarification. I'd agree with the former as she is more dominant of her peers than any male player is. But if it's the latter he's claiming, that's just laughable.
  7. Now that is how you humblebrag.
  8. Yeah, if you like your job, have time for the kids and everything is working well, sounds like you're in a good place. The one more year thing is someone that is in a job they hate yet they're too afraid to take the plunge. There's certainly nothing wrong with working even if you don't "need" the money, just make sure it's on your terms. I liked my job fine and could do it in my sleep, problem is it's located in Minnesota, and I can't wait to put these winters behind me.
  9. Not answering for hornbri but in my opinion the elementary school years are the time you can really take advantage of it and spend time with them because they also want to be with you. Pretty quickly after puberty their friends take center stage. If my high school aged son had any interest in spending vast amounts of time with me I would have retired 3 or 4 years ago.
  10. This right here. I kept working because my youngest was still in high school so it's not like I could have gassed up the RV and hauled ass. But as soon as I got the year- end bonus in December of 22 (coincidentally enough, during the middle of his senior year), I put in my notice. One interesting thing I noted is that when I was getting a consistent paycheck, I obsessively checked the markets. Now that I have nothing coming in, I don't. Seems like it would be the opposite, but it's nice not stressing over the market, even if the bulk of my investments are there.
  11. “Xavier Worthy had a long TD catch, but he also had some drops."
  12. Thanks, but ghost of shag did it too. It's almost as if a year when a 4, 5, 5 and 9 make it would be conducive to someone doing well in this format. My completely amateur finish possibilities, done by hand so not huckleberry approved- SDSU over Miami - Ghost,Doomlet, cat, pants SDSU over uconn- Pants, bayou, Doomlet, ghost Mia over SDSU - cat, ghost, red, Doomlet Mia over FAU - cat, Doomlet, ghost, red FAU over Mia - Cat, Doomlet, red, ghost FAU over Conn _ cat, Doomlet, red, pants UConn over SDSU - cat, pants, bayou, ghost. UConn over FAU - cat, Doomlet, pants, bayou Again, this is back of the envelope stuff so not official. And screw the Aztecs.
  13. Well, fuck. I'd gladly scarfice the 20 points from Miami to reverse some of those horseshit calls.
  14. I've even heard of otherwise very manly guys that
  15. Doomlet's gonna back door this thing with a SDSU win tomorrow.
  16. Tyrone Branyan- that's a name I haven't heard in a long time. I bet you could win a few bar bets with youngsters asking them to pick him out of a team lineup.
  17. Ahhh, yes the fabled game 2 of 1997, or as I sometimes call it, the game after Rutgers but before Rice. Really no other shorthand way to refer to this totally nondescript non program altering game. Well played.
  18. Yeah, UConn is pretty much a wash for everyone but doomlet. Once FAU and Miami meet their inevitable demise, I'm right back to the scrap heap. But I'll always put on my resume that I led the 2023 Wulaw March madness free money classic at its halfway point. They'll never take that from me.
  19. It's being reported the hero's name was Otto.
  20. #1 was Oxford, but bring an extra set of reading glasses.
  21. Didn't we retire that number for some QB? Gardere, I believe.
  22. I think I'm actually at 75, not 78, though I appreciate the help.
  23. Back in the late 90s I was a young associate at a firm located right where Leslie usually hung out. My boss was this old school uptight asshole- picture any old suit and tie at all times biglaw partner and you know him immediately. It amused the hell out of me how uncomfortable he'd get walking by Leslie going into the office.
