  1. Why? Because this guy threw out accusations? Hell, why stop there if that’s the case. He should just accuse CDC of knowing something and hired Herman anyway. See? It makes no sense for Herman to even justify this bullshit with a response. I may go as far as Herman May have to lawyer up to shut this dumb ass down. Which would be very unfortunate if that is the direction this takes.
  2. Damn, $14 million to run a program into the ground.
  3. I don’t believe it has anything to do with our program. It is the rant of a sick man.
  4. Oh, it’s embarrassing, as it would be for anyone having their shit out there for public consumption even if already known. But, nothing more. One can only imagine his mental state. I would guess that if there is anyone out there who really cares for him they would intervene. As these are the actions of someone screaming for help. Who has lost all control of their lives. And is probably living a very unhealthy lifestyle.
  5. C’mon, that fucker don’t know shit or he would have already dropped it. Drowning men always try to take someone with them.
  6. Oh......this may get entertaining. I thought the guy was dead?
  7. Strangely Gary Rossington’s rhythm part to Sweet Home Alabama. Though simply in theory, extremely difficult to get exactly right. Word is Ed King wouldn’t even let it be filmed when they produced the latest Documentary on Skynyrd. When he told His version of the songs birth, he quickly strums Gary’s part off camera before dropping his own iconical opening lick.
  8. Add Funkadelic’s Maggot Brain to that list, and we have a lot in common. And I’m an odd sort as I prefer Hazel’s work on lead over Hampton’s.
  9. What portion of the market are they exactly aiming at? With a price point of $1300, it isn’t “affordable”, nor is it anything much to look at. Or at least nothing most of us haven’t already seen in some form or fashion. It is overall, a confusing marketing strategy.
  10. I tried to stay up and watch, but damn. You start with a breakfast of Pappy and my allowed two cigarettes around 11:00 am EST. Then push yourself through 12 hours of viewing, only to just make kick off for PAC at night. I’m the old’s just can’t do that anymore.
  11. Michigan State did it yesterday to flip the field. Apparently Dantonio’s thinking was he would rather give up the two and possession. Then give OSU the ball inside their 35 due to punting against the high winds. Though in this case they snapped it over the QB’s head into the front row. Which was kind of a WTF moment.
  12. If you are old enough to remember (1998) they (Purdue) were almost the sole voice of reason when the NCAA had legislation in place capping coaches salaries trying to prevent what would ultimately become an arms race. The NCAA legislation was subsequently overturned by a federal judge in Kansas City. As useless as the NCAA has become. They were smart enough to know what would happen if you didn’t cap it. The big would get far to big, the small would become irrelevant.
  13. You’re full of shit. The receiver was open. Cornelius short armed the throw to the back side. Had he thrown it out front we wouldn’t be having this fucking conversation couch jock.
  14. Have you actually played football? Seriously, no internet tough guy stuff. I’m just asking? Because conceptionally it is a viable strategy attempting to offset the advantage the offense currently possess in the Big 12 in terms of match ups. Especially when your defense is called on to defend over 80 offensive plays. Using ESPN stat set it shows on average a SEC college football team runs between 45 to 50 offensive plays per game. In the Big 12 that number goes up exponentially to over 70. As does the length of the games themselves due to the clock. In more simple terms by the time a Big12 team hits game 10, they have essentially played 15 games in total of a highly competitive nature. Including more drives in excess of 70 yards, and more then 40 first downs. inherently causing physical, psychological and physiological problems for the player. In comparison the SEC player has played far fewer plays, and has the luxury of facing a couple of teams that don’t throw more then 10 times over 20 yards down field. Reducing the amount of energy required to cover the receiver. This accumulative effort starts showing up in terms of arm tackles, missed assignments and a lot of standing around because of fatigue. So the three man front allows a DC to at least TRY to force the offensive player to expend the same amount of energy over the course of the game. Leading to poor routes, stopping short on blocks during run plays, and like their defensive counterparts, a lot of standing around. Hoping to get a stop late in the game, and allow their own offense to have possession at the most critical point of the game. And guess what? This is exactly what we seen over the last three weeks. Even the best of players get tired. And to read on some of these threads where some couch jock cherry picks a play or two where a defensive player wiffed, was out of position, or simply failed to give effort as a condemnation of said players skill level is sometimes totally off base. The damn guy was simply worn out playing a 5 hour game, over what amounts to a 15 game season. And still has games left.
  15. Huh? What you didn’t watch the fucking game? It took balls for Gundy to call the 2 point play knowing if he fails he would catch heat. From both his fan base and those he answers to. Conventional wisdom, and standard coaching voodoo tells you to kick the PAT and take your chances in OT. Especially since your offense was scoring at will.
  16. In my opinion what we are seeing is what happens when a Big 12 defensive player is asked to defend 80 plays per game as opposed to the more conventional 50 that almost every other teams defenses are asked to defend. By the 10 game of the season our players have played an accumulation of over 300 additional plays, or more importantly, 6 additional games. The drop off from the back end of the OU game through last night is an accumulation of that additional work load. And not having fresh bodies available to offset it. This is why we see such huge comebacks that were once an anomaly, have now become the norm.
  17. His QB caused a 14 point swing. He ain’t going to let that happen again if he can help it. The best pass Duffy threw was to get them in field goal range on the last series. Klingon is trying to get his kids head right.
  18. Yeah, not a good call to run that play. If he had something sly like sneaking a receiver out for a quick pass maybe.
  19. Rick James basically stopped himself by going high and letting the Texas front stop stop him. And now we know why he is the 4th string guy.
  20. He didn’t use the crown of the helmet, and he had a reason to leave his feet to try to block the pass. They made the right call.
  21. They may have to disqualify a player. They should be absolutely sure. Vegas has a hand in this shit, and that is one of Techs better players. Don’t think they are not aware of that..
