  1. I’ll bet it if the number is right. Let us first see what Vegas thinks. If they give me OSU AND points with the game in Columbus. I’m inclined to take that bet. Probably because I feel strongly that OSU can win outright.
  2. Transitive property does not apply. Urb’s Goons turned it over 3 times today. Without that they win going away. Not saying it couldn’t happen, only that what happened today has no bearing on Michigan.
  3. All kinds of movement before the snap
  4. I agree
  5. Urb sure is a drama queen.
  6. Well they got the trapping the ball against the ground thing down pat.
  7. Why? No one will call them on it. And in the rare case one of them lose a game they won’t drop far in the polls. The real crime is no one else is allowed to pull this shit.
  8. I see the checks finally made it to the officials. Whew, got worried for just a minute.
  9. I wonder how they would spin this mother fucker. I’m sure the score will be considerably different at the end of the game. BUT, if it did happen, would aggy kill themselves?
  10. But put it in perspective. Miami, FSU, SC, Nebraska, all traditional powerhouses who can’t seem to get it right either. And it doesn’t have to be mentioned that those teams have exponentially more resources then Kansas.
  11. My man, you have no fucking idea. I’m married to a third generation Alpha Chi. You get this crazy mixture of I don’t care if we cheat, Auburn grads mow our grass, and did you pick up my new National Championship vanity plates while you were out? Overall, pretty fucking depressing as a Texas guy. Being rational about college football isn’t exactly their strong suit. Oh, and don’t kid yourself. If they think there is no enemy afoot. They will openly tell you championships aside, they still don’t completely trust that yankee Saban.
  12. I seldom agree with Icon on a number of points probably because there is almost 50 years of age between us. But in this case he made two well thought out points, both of which he took the effort to elaborate his reasons as to why he feels that why. So fuck you for back handing him, not adding anything to the discussion other then you think his ideas suck, and you offer shit for rebuttal. You entitled bitch. You forget fuckers who are worn out tired about the non stop onslaught from the left about the hungry, poor, and the wretched. Especially coming from the same 1% that is part of the very 1% they are bitching about. Look where those fuckers live asshole. They don’t shop Costco. Im a first generation American. Post war was an absolute mother fucker. My father a Spanish National who survived the Spanish civil war, my mother went 0-2 in world wars. We never had a fucking thing growing up but the hope it would get better. And I’m not even going to tell you the shit we went through living in the south. My parents worked at least three jobs at any one time just to feed their children. Yeah, it took a long time to assimilate and finally enjoy the American dream. That shit took time, effort and years of eating god damn pancake batter. Fuck anyone getting a short cut. Not doing their share, and the politicians who sell the poor bastards that false sense of entitlement. Without the work. its like anything else in life. If you have to earn it there is a better then average chance you will care for it. If you figure out a way to get your employer to give you health insurance as a perk, good for you. And lastly I’m a flawed man. I may not be half as smart as the majority of the posters on this site. But I busted my balls doing everything from being a god damn janitor cleaning up the shitters of the upper class, to working and retiring with 40 years of service as a railroad employee. So I fully understand giving a fucker a chance. But do it legally, don’t think you’re owed shit, and think for yourself. Nothing is free, you have to earn it. And you know what? Sometimes you still get fucked! But the deal is this country offers opportunity....get it. No one was ever guaranteed shit. And that you get the GT3, the beach house or even the basic things in life like three squares. That shit is on the individual. Where it should be.
  13. I think it is bigger then that. Considering their main benefactor PaPa is no longer dropping cash on them because of his own problems, everyone associated with the old guard is on the kill list by the up and comers. Acedemics can be some spiteful bitches, and damn mean as shit considering all the bullshit they preach. Most never warmed up to the idea of a football coach making more in a year then an entire department of faculty. I’m sure there are promises being made (that won’t be kept) And ideas aplenty (that are far from realistic), until it is time to initiate them and they realize that after all of the turnovers they are in fact still......Louisville. And no one really gives a fuck what they do, and why they had to hire Petrino and Petino in the first fucking place.
  14. You already have Bosa withdrawing from school to rehab and get ready for the draft. So is isnt just shitty football schools, it’s all if the schools. And you can also bet not a single one of them is scared to do a back room deal and hire an agent. The NCAA is toothless and the players are gaining power. And lastly Hoolihan passed a couple of days ago. The fucking crime lord behind the bowl cronies. And the real reason we have this dumb ass four team, as opposed to an eight team playoff where games would be played on campus. So those bowl cocksuckers hopefully will lose that angle as well as control of their free labor in the near future. Those guys fucked over both the sport and the fans with their greed
  15. Apparently at Kansas there is another option. Has something to do with shoe companies, something, something. Though it really doesn’t matter to me if they do bend the rules some. For a fan base to suffer as they have, fuck it let them alone. Besides if truth be known it is a safe bet that far worse is being done at other programs.
  16. WW II movies with Jim Brown. It looked ridiculous then, and it still looks ridiculous. Though as Eddie Murphy pointed out he should have been credited with an additional 190 yards for the grenade scene in The Dirty Dozen.
  17. And there you have it! A perfect explanation of the situation.
  18. I agree with all of this. We had a lame duck commissioner who for whatever reason couldn’t calm everyone down. The presidents of the universities that left got caught up in believing they were somehow in no man’s land when nothing could have been further from the truth. Or like you say simply dumb and greedy. Whatever the reason it hurt all of them long term. And once again it proves that good executives are worth every penny of their salaries regardless what some people say. Had we had leadership, AND admitted TCU and West Virginia into the Big 12. We would be at the very least equal to the SEC. and Nebraska, Colorado and Missouri would still be able to recruit Texas. Which I don’t give a shit what they say, they miss. At the same time it would have minimized the SEC foot print into the state (fucking aggy) for recruiting that they now enjoy. And one could argue that with such an arrangement we would essentially have cut the eastern, as well as the midwestern portion of the country in half. And it would be the Big 12 that would be the one encroaching into the SEC and Big 10 recruiting grounds. Rather then they into ours.
  19. Hell or High water. I really liked Chris Pine and his brother (sorry I forgot his name) interaction. Though filmed in eastern New Mexico (around Alamogordo I believe) it allowed the viewer to feel the desperation and poverty that exists in many parts of West Texas showing all of its barren glory. And though the storyline was contrived, as getting someone to front you $43,000 knowing you were about to start pumping 2000 barrels a month of oil off of your property would be a far (and obviously safer route) then robbing banks.
  20. You mean like an actual big guy that doesn’t have a girly body. You know like the original material called for.
  21. That is the most awesome thing I have ever seen. And it shows why no blue blood will ever hire him. He is the definition of refusing to toe the line. He does it his way, and I love it.
  22. Actually he made a solid point, and it obviously went against the corporate agenda based on the looks he received from Reece, Joey and Pollock when he said it. Simply put, he pointed out that if one feels that the metric of having a great defense based on statistics is a requirement. And then applies those numbers to say that on paper LSU is X amount of points better then ou. Then by the same metric you must also recognize the rarified air that ou is putting up offensively. Numbers that if they hold up will be the highest ever recorded in college football history. And then the logic becomes LSU’s offense sucks so they shouldn’t be in. Basiclly he addressed the elephant in the room. That it is easy to pick the numbers that support your case. Yes you can beat up ou for their shit defense. But then you should also beat up the teams that have the suck for offense. And his closing comment was definitely on point with “you only have to have one more point then the other guy to win. Whether that is 21-20 or 49-50”. I thought it was something that should be pointed out.
  23. Ross is an idiot. Going west would kill Texas viewer numbers on the East Coast. Scheduling 10:45 starting times for a marquee match up after all of the east and Midwest games have wrapped up, and their fans have passed out is a bad idea. The only coverage would be ESPN’s football final which airs at midnight EST. Combined with that same little Network who controls both the narrative and pretty much the playoff selection is also located on the east coast means fewer eyeballs from those that matter. They will only see box scores and highlights. Thise just a few of the counter arguments that could be made why Texas should under no circumstances go West. I get it, Ross loves southern cal. But people like me do not. And you’re fool hardy if you think Texas will be able to control that group out West when things get difficult. Regardless of who the commissioner may be. I would be willing to wager that both Colorado and Nebraska would return to the Big12 if such an opportunity presented itself. Their experience has been soured by not having a natural rival, and not being a good fit. And that doesn’t even take into account how fucking bad their football has been since they left.
  24. Earlier in the thread I had asked the board the question of building the best stocked home bar. And though I spent far more then I should have I now have a nicely stocked bar that I believe can accommodate almost anyone’s pallet. Unfortunately the side effect of this adventure has been that I have turned into a damn collector. And really don’t like busting the seal on any expensive bottle unless I have two. I treat the damn bottles like they are Fabrege’ eggs. And don’t have enough years in front of me to drink it all. But now that I am bitten by the collector bug and my ass is constantly out hunting anything you guys post that I either don’t have, or have never seen. This is not how I thought my retirement would go. Collecting is a bad habit. You don’t even enjoy the very thing the interested you in the first place. Finding it has replaced drinking it.
