    ISU vs. OU

Yeah, because they are coached poorly. Did you see just the procedural penalties they took against VT? That wasn’t Bud Fosters greatest defense effort that shut them down. It was FSU playing defense against themselves. FSU should be able to score a single touchdown against any fucking team. To only walk out of that game with 3 points tells you a lot.

Yep. If ou ever finds a decent defensive coordinator they are going to be something else.

Why did they hire that dumb ass, incompetent Taggert? Recruiting? Fuck, what good is landing them if you can’t coach em for shit?

Im really surprised that was not called. He wasn’t running, feet still in the pocket inside the tackle box. I have seen a lot less called so far this year.
  5. Yep. I only see the gold Datejusts on the wrists of olds. Always fluted bezel with jubilee bracelet. You must not golf? Lots of young money went gold Rolex, not because they didn’t have the cash for a true high end watch. But because had they dropped $150,000+ for a true signature piece that they saw at the Geneva show, their friends most likely wouldn’t have a fucking clue what it is. And would, out of naivety, think it to be a knock off. Where is the fun in that? Like em or hate em, everyone knows Rolex’ place in the watch world.
  6. Hell, I think TCU has a very good chance. As long as they don’t turn the ball over, or commit drive killing penalties. Or give up cheap scores. I would even go so far as to say there is probably far more anxiety in the OSU locker room, then in TCU’s. The pressure is completely on OSU. it would be mega awesome if it turns out to be a close game and Urb gets caught interacting with the team in some way.
  7. I guess I have just gotten old. Watching them play ball at a higher level then us doesn’t make me hate them as much as it bothers me that they shouldn’t have our number. There is a reason we have that “We’re Texas” thing. I also can’t help but wonder if having CDC here could have an impact on the game in some intangible way?

    ISU vs. OU

I’m going to guess Iowa State has ou’s attention this time around. So I believe ou wins, but with Anderson out it will be really close. And I say that for the simple fact that in the college game. Quick mobile QB’s that have decent arms, decent receivers, and even a slight threat at RB are hard to beat. Regardless of the name on their helmets.
  9. Show em the end result and they will regret laughing. I’m of the opinion that the extra effort of the bow tie’s was well worth it, and it compliments the piece exceptionally well.
  10. I guess my question would be why? To find this type of fame?
  11. Well yeah that, and stress. The billy bad ass act that many so glowing defined as cool back on the old site. Was a WTF to all of us who have had to actually speak to the media on the record. Sure, it’s awesome when great results follow your bravado. But it’s a mother fucker when they don’t. Pretty basic toastmasters stuff.
  12. We would have been favored anyway. This is a matchup of two very flawed teams. Yep, that brain trust running SC isn’t anything special. And both teams have enough talent that someone on either team could step up and make a play or two to win the damn thing. Regardless of the situations that bad coaching put them in.
  13. Ironically this will be an interesting matchup of similar styles......but not in a good way. Two different coaching staff’s who have talent at their disposal, but apparently don’t have a clue on how to deploy it. SC has speed, they showed that against Stanford. Nothing more entertaining then watching wideouts run route after route and never see the ball. After the third or fourth play they started pulling up. And what that dumb ass Shaw was rambling about post game is anyone’s guess. Congratulations, you beat another shitty SC team.
  14. The biggest change in aggy from Sumlin and Jimbo is they didn’t quit and fold when it looked as if the game was about to get out of hand. What really helped aggy was Dabo having to live up to his promise of giving the rookie meaningful playing time. Had they stayed with their starter aggy never gets back in the game. And why with the game in the line he stopped that dumb ass shit. Strangely it looked very much the same as Saban’s experiment/game against Louisville using two QB’s. Except Bama never fell asleep on defense while their coach was trying some shit out.
  15. I’m sorry, I watched the entire SC Stanford game. And for all the hype Love is getting, he enjoyed running against a SC defense that was out of position the majority of the time. And when they were lined up correctly, they couldn’t tackle for shit. SC does posses some good receivers, but it’s a toss up whether the SC quarterback can get a throw anywhere near them where they can take advantage of running in stride/space. There were multiple examples where the SC receivers had to basically take themselves out of the play just to make the catch. This is not a good SC team. For the record, I don’t think Stanford is very good right now either as they struggled themselves. They do have their traditional big strong linemen they are known for. But they look slow and immobile.
  16. I believe you have some connections down in these parts, so you know IPTAY? That shit won’t go at Texas. We have never had a Charlie Pell, Danny Ford or a Dabo for a reason.

    UCLA @ OU

I don’t know shit about GT, but I didnt think he could pull that off? Good for him.

    UCLA @ OU

Meh, games aren’t transitive. And Texas ou is always a tough contest.

    UCLA @ OU

He throws a much better ball then I thought he could.

Well, we now know why Riley wasted points on the last possession of the first half. ou can pretty much name the score. So I’m guessing he had a conversation with Chip showing respect to the elder statesmen prior to the game, and isn’t showing the entire package. And not going for the throat.
  21. Damn, if I didn’t know better some of you can’t be a day over 16. If you got your man crush up on some bullshit he served up in a interview, pod cast, web post, or any other bullshit. Congratulations, you now know how he landed such a prestigious job as the AD at the university of Texas. The jury will be out, and he (CDC) will not act on the head football coaches future until which time there is either a scandal (god forbid) or upon the completion of, at the minimum the third full year of the contract. Even then, no matter the record. Which unlike some I still believe will be much better then some of our in house prognosticators keep serving up in the other threads. Unless there is a specific coach he has in mind sitting out there that he absolutely must act on or lose, Herman will be easily given years three and probably four. So as disastrous as the Maryland game was for us. No organization in its right mind takes any action until the final numbers are in. And laugh if you want, but the Big12 ain’t that great. Winning this conference is not the same as others in that you get a second crack at a team that may have beat you earlier. And until we see for ourselves what ou, TCU, WV, actually have when they play us. And not someone else, because the transitive property isn’t applicable. We simply won’t know how just how bad/good we really are. And as long as a conference championship hangs in the balance and is in the conversation. Herman will be fine.
  22. The highest rate of success that I see is grabbing a coordinator that has shown innovation, organization, and a certain level of confidence that allows them to step up to the big job. In fairness even then it’s a roll of the dice. Kirby at Georgia comes to mind, as I really thought he would struggle. Replacing Richt when he was winning a lot more then he was losing appeared risky. But after last year I have to say they pulled a good one out of their hat. The fact he is a former Bulldog just makes it better. Pruitt at Tennessee on the other hand may be the exact opposite. Going back farther, Leach was a good upgrade at Tech from bag-o-dicks staff. If not for the political bullshit most believe he would have kept Tech in the picture. Of course it isn’t just the guy you select either. You have to have some luck that the guy can land and coach up the players he needs. And can pick a staff that buys into a new boss without any ego. I will always believe some staffs are handcuffed by coordinators who feel it should be them, and not the guy they are working for who should have got the job. They keep their feelings quite and play along, but there seems to always be a problem with team progress.
  23. Chizk is a better example. Talk about being fucking gifted a title. And the fact they plucked his .500 ass out of the cornfields of the Midwest. Hell, a half a dozen guys on this site could have parlayed that team to a championship.
