  1. Shit, what about the dumb fuck “Bear” guy? Where did they find that fucking rube at? He looks like a special needs guy from Chicago, and he gets his own gig? One more reason to remind me what a failure I am. We have a dozen plus posters on this site that would make a better viewing experience. And are just as capable of reading off statistics.
  2. OK, what’s with the rude dog bullshit? What did I miss, and why is it in the aggy sniffs balls thread?
  3. And many are waiting for Urb to deploy that defense. And it would have SOME merit, if after the initial incident Meyer made Smith attend counseling, reduce wages, etc. But he didn’t, he didn’t do shit but attempt to cover it up. That is all his ass knows how to do. The old “it ain’t a crime if you don’t get caught”. And I’ll go one step farther. Does anyone truly believe Urb didn’t know about some of Aaron Hernandez’ antics? Hernandez was a starter, and starters are closer to their coaches then bench players. Especially really good players. Urb was not surprised when Aaron got popped.
  4. Damn, a fucking Twitter apology? This is one sorry mother fucker. The fact they are getting some really bad press right now suggests that it was the university, not Urb who decided they had to respond in some way to their failure of not mentioning Smith’s wife by name at the news conference. And this was the best that brain trust could come up with. Probably because old Urb told them to fuck off, and the university had to capitulate to him. No way Urb would agree to any more statements. That fucker has gone total bunker mentality, where everyone is an enemy. It is becoming obvious that until the news cycle moves on. OSU must be getting some additional heat from inside its own fan base, including boosters who are probably getting a little tired of defending this asshole. They want to believe he is worth defending. But even the hardliners are showing cracks. And the three stooges of PR are making it really easy to laugh at them. Who the fuck apologizes via Twitter in such a serious situation? You have to show some tears, long face, you know a little remorse when you act like a pig. Then the media (Herbie, courtesy phone!) will go back to blowing him.
  5. What brought this on? Was there something I missed. I have not heard anything that prompted Texas even bothering to float this.
  6. ou is and always be a pick-em simply because of the two schools traditions in that game. The better team has not always managed a win. And they have another midget....and we struggle with midgets. He won’t have Bakers arm, but the little shit can run. And I believe that is the only style that can consistently cause breakdowns and move the chains against our D. For me the other is USC. I don’t like them, but they have some players who will play at the next level. And they will not fall into the same trap thinking they just have to show up like they did last year. They will start the game better prepared. I say 10-2, only because I can’t bring myself to go 12-0.
  7. They better hope Jimbo is magic. Clemson is bringing 9 of last years starters on defense. Jimbo couldn’t handle them with his FSU team last year. So this should be fun for all of us.
  8. Only one.....Herbie just announced that they are still in the playoff conversation with Urb steering the ship. Cuz you know football and shit should make all of these destractions go away.
  9. Sadly you are correct. That is some fucked up shit.
  10. What I am struggling to get my arms around is that these are supposed to be people who have the benefit of a classical education. How can those that are by any metric intelligent, do so many unintelligent things? My guess is that gold is a powerful mother fucker. How did this group, along with the administrations of any number of institutions that have made the news for all the wrong reasons over the last few years manage to land their jobs in the first place? The level of incompetence is difficult to measure. All of them however have shown the exact same characteristics. They have no problem telling a lie, cheating, or covering something up. Whatever means necessary to hide their mistakes/crimes. This is what is shaping the young minds at these schools? Man, the only thing I can see is what one should do, or not do, if you get caught. And if your status is high enough in the club we will run cover for you. Even if we have to allow the president to look like a buffoon.
  11. We have already beat this to death. It ain’t a problem, until it’s a problem. Mike Price showed us why going to the club didn’t fuck him. It was when the stripper stole his wallet and university credit card......and then bought $2000 worth of shit with it that fucked him. Same shit with Herman. So fucking what, he likes titties? He isn’t the one with the “I like to go Mike Tyson on the old lady” problem. That belongs entirely to Smith. Those types of salacious headlines are only applicable when the shit hits the fan. And even then, it is only because it makes a lazy journalist have something to start their story with. Being at the club in of itself is a non story, unless the bosses/contract specifically told you not to go into such establishments. Fuck Bucknutz, they are bleeding and can’t stand that everyone sees their true colors. And it kills them to admit they are the Dirty low down pieces of shit they are. What they should be concerned with is that our guy was smart enough to get the fuck out of that shithole.
  12. I haven’t seen this yet, but if true. What you are seeing is a young man who just realized that he made a huge mistake trusting the organization. That doing things like that dumb ass ESPN piece, only served to help OSU and Urb, not him. The time to deal was before the report was made public, forcing the grand inquisition to change the language if he spoke out. Regardless of his indiscretions his message would have been gobbled up by the media coming from a remorseful Smith. He could have then laid bare any and all tawdry details that we all love to hear about any one but ourselves. Now it just appears as simple blackmail. The dumb kid thought the university, as well as Urb would take care of him. And at the very least find him a landing spot. It probably just dawned on him when he tried to call around and realized his number was blocked. And no one will take his calls.
  13. That is a fair response. There very well may be enough diversity in companies that are still willing to take a risk by allowing an employee to visit such a club while on company business. And are also willing to deal with any blow back should an incident occur while their employee was there. Including any embarrassing press that could impact conservative boosters. A good example that applies in this case is of course Mike Price. He spent, what, one day as Alabama’s head coach before a dancer lifted his wallet and university credit card? Had that not happened Alabama was on the hook for 13.5 million. But they used his visiting the club as the cause for dismissal. And he was the victim of a crime! The university wrote ambiguity into his conduct clause. And though it didn’t specifically spell out clubbing or exotic dancer, it gave them leverage over any claim to guaranteed money the university was liable for. That said it is hard to believe any organization would allow such a situation unless they were confident that neither public opinion or any authority over the company simply doesn’t mind if an incident occurs. Just my take on the optics of this case with how the situation with Smith played out. Because I’m sure you noticed that it took all of three minutes for the media to jump all over him being at the club.
  14. What level of management were/are you in? I don’t wish to disparage you so please don’t take my comment personally. But my experience is with a company that I was employed with for over 40 years. And with a law department of over 30 attorneys. I can assure you going into a strip club was a huge problem. And every year that law department required All managers to sign a Code of Conduct contract. Every fucking year!
  15. Unfortunately yes, it ain’t the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s or 00’s anymore. Almost every company considers those that are traveling while on company business to be “on the clock” while on the road. That they represent their organization the entire time. So yes, behavior such as blowing on G-strings while doing shots of Pappy is verboten. I’m sure there are exceptions, but most employee handbooks spell this out very clearly. A direct result of the Information Age, and law departments that have found themselves embarrassed and liable for an employe’s behavior while on the clock.
  16. Hell, I had no feelings one way or the other on OSU. Other then the road trip up there years ago where that Neolithic fan base demonstrated that they were not familiar with modern plumbing. And English was their second language. Im upset that I believed that I was absolutely correct in thinking that the SEC was by far the dirtiest in the room, and now I have to reconsider. The Big10 with it’s a rapin’ and a plundering makes the SEC buying players like commodities look pretty fucking good. How does an institution of higher learning that enjoys millions of government funding allow this behavior? The members of the BOT that were shown entering the meeting room, and I apologize for making assumptions. Looked to me as if they had not a single worry in the world. Their expressions were that of a carefree bunch headed out on vacation. A nice diverse group that proves that wealth, real wealth can corrupt ANY man or woman, of any race or background. And that is a fucking shame. Not a single dissenting voice amongst them.....only show me my money. They could not give one fuck for any of those “small people” caught up in this.
  17. I don’t know about savior, but aggy is not exactly the place to look for player development. Sumlin had no idea what he was doing. He beat the teams he beat by simply having better players. Totally wiffed on the greatest aggy of all time by not even winning their division. So what this kid did while enrolled there really doesn’t mean much. He is now in year two of a system that has shown it can work if everyone does their job. Though I struggle with his ability to make the same throws that Mayfield did. I see him as a grab the snap, take a quick look, and run like hell kind of guy. Combine that with OU’s traditional sieve defense, and I don’t see them winning any of their tougher games, including us.
  18. It’s times like this I fall into the fantasy world where some unheard of university president comes out and refuses to play a game until they remove the offender. i know, I know it would never happen, good old boys and such. It is just something I do when I witness a complete lack of justice motivated entirely by the love of gold. The deleting of text messages on a company phone is more then cause. And should have been a solid footing to refuse the payout. Destroying possible evidence that could impact not only this event, but some other future event should not be tolerated. Is there not a single decent person in that state that is willing to say NO? I don’t wish harm on anyone, not even for this. But man, we as a society have lost our bearing and sailed far, far off course. I miss the ridiculous days of the Switzer types. Who cheat their asses off with stuff like fucking coaches wife’s, and buying players. You know, Burt Reynolds types of infractions that both parties agreed to participate in. Where personal harm or injury were not part of the equation. These days of rape, murder, brutality, and destroying people’s lives should be stopped by the very institutions that these events are taking place at no matter the drop in the polls. Yet that is not what I see. I see a group of very wealthy and influential people. Comprised of black, white, male and female all in concert attempting to spin these events as single occurrences. All while totally ignoring the victims of these actions. Urb’s entire statement never once addressed the victim. Instead purposely allowing ambiguity, when he personally knew this woman for many years. He had talked with her many times, and she was a friend of his own wife. That by anyone’s definition is a piece of trash, and needs to be taken out to the dump. Fuck the damn game, this should not be allowed in a civilized society.
  19. Herbie is the classic definition of a toadie. And let’s be honest, it has served he and his family well. However he will under no circumstance construct an individual thought without “running it through the big guy” first. But the good looks, smile, keen wit, etc. Is just window dressing. Get His ass away from the cameras and reporters and he becomes the same type of individual. Not to mention his greatest accomplishment which was sitting on the GameDay set for years eating SEC cock when we all knew exactly how he truly felt.
  20. There is a reason you don’t know much about them Vic, truth is no one does. They are irrelevant in all things except baseball. And even with that most still debate whether they should change the fucking channel during the college World Series when they get there for some Gilligan’s Island reruns.
  21. Urb is a fucking piece of shit. Look I get it, he can coach football. He may even possess some redeeming qualities that I know nothing about. However, when you consult a staff member for instructions on how to delete text messages on your company phone. An action in of itself is that is incriminating. And depending on the language in his contract could be construed as failure to adhere to his personal conduct clause. And is an obvious attempt at a cover up. Failure to disclose to your boss that you not only have a current employee undergoing treatment. But, is also receiving outpatient care from a source outside the university’s umbrella and oversight. A supposed condition that may or may not have been diagnosed by a real doctor that involves memory loss that he takes medication for. That based on what we know apparently never appears to impact him while on the football field coaching his team. And where the fuck is the NCAA? Guys who have sold their own shit have received far harsher punishments then this asshole got for enabling a culture of abuse, lying, and cover up.
  22. Grier is going into protect thy draft status mode. With the crop of QB’s slated to come out he stands a good chance of going High come draft time. So he really doesn’t have to do anything great, just don’t do anything stupid. Most importantly don’t get hurt. If he lines up and sees the possibility of getting hammered by a quality defensive front he will think far more of himself then of the team. Expect quicker less accurate throws, leaving the pocket early, signs of a guy playing cautiously.
  23. I could be wrong, but I believe Saban has better control of his business. He is still a snake oil guy, just not in the same way as Urb. Saban will cut loose a guy that is cancerous believing he can find someone else just as good. But I could be full of shit too.
  24. Not sure that would do it. Winning championships is big medicine. That fan base could give a rats ass if Urb himself raped Smiths wife, just bring home a title and beat UM’s ass. Regardless how any of us feel about it a winning football program is simply worth to much money to let something as trivial as ethics enter into the conversation. And why not a single person of authority in the state of Ohio has bothered to voice even a snippet of dissent regarding not only Urb, but all the other abuse issues currently surrounding Ohio State.
  25. I have always been in the camp of playing those dumb fucks. We pretty much have their number. So we have never had to go to long without payback (FEd-Ex years excluded). And yes I have heard all of the arguments about fuck them they left. But, to me beating their ass was never really an issue. It took a tragedy, and a benevolent Texas head coach for aggy to even sneak a win. Not to mention they, both the school and the fan base, chose to act like a pack of dicks when Texas extended an olive branch during a difficult time. I hate to admit it, but watching that group wonder around mumbling like they have rocks in their mouths after losing to Texas is a shit load of enjoyment for me.
