  1. There is no whoosh. You’re lazy and unoriginal as surlygator already corrected my error in a previous post.
  2. I would like to know what Tom Wittrock thought of that guitar, as well as the selling price.
  3. Short for Volunteers I’m guessing.
  4. The full speed hit he took from Harrison was brutal. Colt had to know that shit was going to hurt, stood in the pocket and took it like a fucking man!

    Gumbo

    My, my that looks good!
  6. You did well on that car.
  7. No shit? You got that for $4k?
  8. I’ve been going back and forth on this thread. The more I look at that watch the more it is growing on me.
  9. Thats cold, funny as hell, but cold..
  10. Man, I haven’t had the kids on my auto in so long I forgot about that one! That has got to be big bucks. If it’s like my insurance you have to carry insurance on everyone in the household that is of driving age on every car you insure. Fuck me that would bite..
  11. We have these crazy youth traveling baseball teams in my area that charge some outrageous fees to participate. Yet every team has enough players, and travel most weekends. As I coached little league for 25 years I am bewildered parents are willing to pay such a lofty sum when their child could experience the same sport in LL and the school system. Take my word for it….most kids who play ball as a kid won’t do it for a living.
  12. Child rearing is expensive business.
  13. I’m the same on maintaining our current vehicles. In fact the wife drives a 10 year old Honda that she loves. It is well maintained but had a paint issue. We were going to trade and looked around. In the end we simply refused to pay the numbers the dealerships in our area were asking. She instead elected to repaint it at a discount auto paint shop we have in town. That set us back $2k, but they shot the same pearl paint and clear coat the factory uses. We just hope they did a better job than the factory did. But, it is paid for. The same with my truck. It is 7 years old, but again well maintained. I’ll drive the wheels off of that bitch before I drop $75k on a new one. I can relate to your nest egg as well. I was able to retire at 55. Which at the time I had myself in good shape. House paid for, as well as the land it sits on. However as time has moved on the buying power of my nest egg has been reduced. I’m not smart enough to to know the exact reduction of buying power. I just know that when it costs us $40 or more to eat at a chain steak house, we don’t go as often.
  14. I’m a retired guy who lives on a fixed income. Arguing about the politics really doesn’t help me. I can control my expenses on items that are want not need, but food and fuel is difficult. I struggle to understand how people are buying a couple of $75,000 vehicles, a home, raising children, and still have money for estate planning? Either they have well paying jobs, or they are in some serious debt. Especially since I spend a lot of my time looking for value, as I’m sure many of you are as well. To be honest I’m worried about my future.
  15. That was fucking brilliant…
  16. Has a bit of Fletch overtones. So far I’m enjoying it.
  17. I need to read those. How much does the series deviate from books? Similar to Tinker Tailor?
  18. The mic catching the chick yelling paint it black you devils just put that song over the top. I love that album.
  19. Forget spelling. Player interviews back in the day could be brutal, especially the defensive linemen. The inability of a university athlete to string two coherent sentences together was amazing. When the Dexter Manly episode came to light it exposed everything about D1 college football.
  20. The irony here is an FSU fan posted it…
  21. So far as Tennessee, the people I know from there have always called them the “Vol’s”. I don’t believe I have ever heard anyone call themselves “UT”? I’m sure there are some, but “how bout them Vol’s” is pretty much the standard response when they win one.
  22. The store is a tourist trap, but damn the bathrooms.
  23. Does anyone actually believe it was budget cuts?
  24. Crossed paths with her not long ago. We have some mutual friends that go back a long way. She lives a quiet life in Grovetown Georgia.
