  1. Maximum Overdrive. AC/DC soundtrack, and the lawnmower scene is hilarious. I read that King cut a lot of scenes fearing an X rating.
  2. Meh, I’m an old guy who has watched GameDay since its inception. Change is nothing new. Beano Cook, Tim Brando and Lee Corso were nothing like the Fowler years that followed, nor the Rece Davis era that followed that. Not to mention that Craig James, Trev Albert’s, and many others had time on the show. So lineup changes are pretty commonplace. ESPN is in the entertainment business. It is the first word in the acronym. Changing the lineup is part of the process/evolution, and bringing Pat onboard is just another iteration of that process. I respect the guy. He played in the league, and has built his brand. What has changed is the saturation. In the late 80’s they were the only game in town. No internet, and cable TV was still growing. In today’s market there are many options for eyeballs. They almost have to be a little louder, a little more over the top just to keep/maintain their market share. Pat gives them some of that. Now, Tim Rinaldi, they can jettison his ass any fucking time.
  3. I believe you’re correct. I was instructed to use Saphir Reptan? I ordered some from Amazon. When it comes in I’ll try it in a small area just to see what happens.
  4. I’ve heard a lot of negative noise about western diamondback. Apparently they are not as durable as other animal skin, and you have to treat them carefully. Time will tell if I made a poor choice.
  5. Try this again. I ordered two pair that I had fitted in Nashville last year. These came in first, the others should arrive by the end of the month. They do damn good work.
  6. You saying this guy don’t know his shit, no way!
  7. It’s a fun mind game, but I find it impossible to be sincere and list a favorite artist. The same would apply to my favorite book, or my favorite movie. It depends on the mood I’m in at the time.
  8. I looked at it as a plot device. It was a way to keep his old man in the show. Was it lazy? Probably so, but it made sense. Like you I just stumbled on the show, and binged watched it. The music connection really helped me settle into it.
  9. Funny reading some of that shit. Anyone who was in Dallas during the 60’s and 70’s would agree that a Horn’s down gesture was the least of concerns coming from the OU fanbase. Shit, we used to throw fucking empty bottles at one another. And a good time was had by all.
  10. You should enjoy reading how people will dance around your question. Because no one on this thread has the brass to give you their honest opinion. But of course you knew that before you posed the question.
  11. Solid work. You’ve developed a keen eye for composition.
  12. And yet they could have. Going for it really wouldn’t have even been risky. The sport has turned into pure entertainment and feels scripted.
  13. The entire thing looked scripted. Including Saban letting OU cover.
  14. Clemson puts 6 up on this drive I believe ND is fucked.
  15. Alabama is simply to deep. OU may even keep it interesting for a time. But Bama wins, and easily covers.
  16. He had no business being a starter. If there is some unwritten rule about legacy’s getting a spot so be it. But the kid isn’t a DI player.
  17. Other then the acedemics, the relaxing of core class required by incoming freshmen, and the payroll.... damn near identical.
  18. I find the redhead intoxicating. I wonder if she needs a sugar daddy?
  19. I believe one of them is Rod Gilmore. Which means at some point he will find a way to remind us of the “The Play” where he will lose his shit telling us of the clip that wasn’t called against Cal, thus causing Stanford to lose the game some 25 years ago. He hasn’t been able to let that one go.
  20. Then why the fuck did you bother posting this dumb shit?
  21. Yeah, they looked real fucking physical chasing Hurts around as he was running through gaps 5 yards wide.
  22. I still have not seen an official statement from the NCAA detailing when the testing occurred, how many were tested, and whether all Bowl teams were tested, or only those in the CFP? The NCAA should have also covered the subsequent penalties for those that don’t have the luxury of declaring for the draft. I’m not asking for names. But there should have been a statement from the very organization that conducted the testing to send a message that A) they are testing. And, B) there are consequences if you get caught. By not releasing anything it almost makes them out to be saying “fuck, we caught a few dumb asses”.
