  1. How the fuck do you know? You’re a fucking key board bandit like everyone else throwing your two cents in. It is just as easy to say that Carroll has a huge ego and got taken to task in the Seattle media prior to the game about protecting his fragile minded QB that Boom was hating on.
  2. I would really like to know if the true reason Pete decided to throw the ball was simply to rub Lynch and his fellow conspirators noses in it? It isn’t a secret who Pete Carroll sided with when Sherman was so outspoken about how much better Russell Wilson has it under Caroll. And how Caroll felt about Sherman and the Legion of Boom taking their bitch to the media. As many times that I have watched Caroll answer the run throw question, you can tell he isnt so much trying to answer the question, as he is deflecting away from the real reason he threw the damn ball. And how his pettiness cost him, and Seattle a Super Bowl.
  3. Is he taking his girlfriend with him?
  4. If all this is true it explains a lot. I think most will agree it has been awfully quiet the last few years regarding PED’s. Sometimes people forget that the NCAA, like MLB, the NFL or even the NBA don’t necessarily want to hurt their own product. They simply want to create the illusion of fair play and a clean sport. Or use the testing to harass those individuals that are problematic. But a quick google search shows that not only are there are far more compounds available and being used today then say the late 80’s. The testing to identify those same compounds has become extremely sophisticated as well. I believe that would only happen in a market that is both growing and profitable.
  5. The timing of this seems a little odd. Though I don’t know how the NCAA determines the who and when part of testing. Does everyone get tested, or just a select few? I was also unaware of the year suspension if you fail. And of all the Bowl teams these were the only positive’s? It is hard to believe that they don’t pop one or two for reefer.
  6. Dabo is going to get to the bottom of this: http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/25609141/status-unclear-clemson-tigers-dt-dexter-lawrence-positive-test
  7. Well, in fairness to the Brit’s they really didn’t care what color their cannon fodder was. Besides black men, they had no problem sending white Australian’s, Irish, Scot’s as well. As they cared more about the tactical advantage of having warm bodies that were not part of the Crown’s extended ruling apparatus that would willingly die for them. And subsequently not impact the lives of those whose status that they wished to protect back home during the conflict.
  8. I’m not taking shit dick snot. Just saying not having your best players is a fucking problem.
  9. Not having either your best defensive player, or your QB is a problem.
  10. Now consider that this game allowed the winner a crack at advancing into the next round of a playoff? An otherwise shitty game would take on an entirely different meaning. Attendance and TV would be all over it, looking (hoping) for the next Cinderella. Of course we would have to run it by Reece and his boys, you know eye test and all.
  11. The entire concept of recruiting rankings is flawed. And is far more about entertainment for the fans, then whether a school actually signed who they needed. And that doesn’t even factor in those who wash out. But the clincher is ESPN’s arbitrary 300. Why stop at 300? Why not 500? Or better yet 100. In truth there are some number of game changers in every class. I have no idea how many, but it is a select few. Guys who can really help a program from the first day they arrive on campus. After that they are all projects. Give them proper nutrition, S&C and good coaching. And in a couple of years the kid looks far better then he did at 18 when he left high school. Makes me wonder how many coaches actually recruit exclusively off those boards as opposed to actually doing their fucking jobs.
  12. Sounds like he was thrown a few trap questions. From what I can see he handled it pretty damn well.
  13. Time will tell whether your analysis is correct. As far as I’m concerned the bigger issue when dealing with OU isn’t individual match ups, its Riley. How Stoops managed to identify, evaluate, and get him to Norman is still a mystery to me. How was a guy so good, yet so far under the radar that not one team in the southeast picked him up? You don’t go 24-3, win two conference championships, land two Heismans in the process. AND make the playoffs in your first two years on the job and not know what the fuck you are doing. And yet no one who matters saw that potential but fucking Stoops? He may very well flame out (he wouldn’t be the first). But, as long as he is on their sidelines they will be a tough out. And if he lucks into a title, well that damn sure won’t make it any easier.
  14. I take it that many of you are unfamiliar with the former Chief of the Sugar Bowl committee Paul Hoolahan? Nor is it a coincidence that this playoff conversation is now coming to light since his recent retirement. A retirement that has created a vacuum in the hierarchy of the big money of college football regarding the bowl games. As the Chief of the Sugar Bowl, Hoolahan single handedly steered college football into believing the Bowls were integral to the sport. When the truth was they never were. And expanding the playoffs will show that to be true. And why under his watch we never were able to properly expand. Believe what you want. But, it has never been about the logistics, or amount of games, or even player safety. It was about protecting their investment in television and having marquee teams in which to select from. And of course controlling the system to get those teams. Expansion would force the Rose, Orange, etc to take whatever team makes it. That could possibly force a UConn like situation from years back that killed their numbers. And why the Big East had to die. Along with its automatic bid to teams that no Bowl game wanted. The arbitrary method of determining a champion should have died years ago. And would have if not for Hoolahan.
  15. You’re right man. I concede. I appreciate your input.
  16. We’re debating two different things. My original comment was LJH has the physical attributes to compete at Jones’ level. With the caveat of receiving proper NFL coaching. I certainly understand some disagreeing with that sentiment. I didn’t say LJH was as good, would ever be that good, or would make the Pro Bowl. I said that he possess things you can’t coach or are difficult to change. Height, weight and strength, things that can limit a receiver. Hell, he may fucking flop. As you pointed out, he wouldn’t be the first. I’m sorry, I like the guy. I think he is something special. I also think he hasn’t been utilized properly. But I made no guarantees he would be great. Just that he could.
  17. Jesus fucking Christ man. I clearly pointed that out.
  18. I agree 1400 yards is a great stat for negotiation your contract. And why he held out, and didn’t report to camp. But give me 1000 yards and more touchdowns. I would take Brown, Beckham and probably Green over Jones as of today. And I’m not the only one who sees it that way.
  19. We’re debating two different things. My original comment was LJH has the physical attributes to compete at Jones’ level. With the caveat of receiving proper NFL coaching. I certainly understand some disagreeing with that sentiment. So far as Jones and his 5 years of accumulative stats. They are essentially meaningless when put into perspective. He was far more effective with Shanahan then he will ever be with Sark. Dan Quinn made it to the Super Bowl with Shanahan. Atlanta has become vanilla under Sark. Not to mention Jones did a far better job of running routes under Shanahan, especially when plays broke down. For all of Atlanta’s supposed weapons, Jones no longer is the threat he was two years ago. Nor is the Atlanta offense.
  20. Look up what Jones did in 2010. Compare it to what LJH has done this year. He is also taller then Jones, 10 lbs heavier and better in the weight room. Get him NFL coaching to exploit his physical advantages. And as far as I’m concerned he has the ability to be far better. Jones is a disappearing act in the Atlanta offense when things get physical. He gets doubled and gets lazy, because it is tough to have DB’s on your ass the entire game. Yes he can make some great catches, but he also has some really bad drops.
  21. So far as any of us? Very few care. So far as any coach currently out recruiting? Every damn one of them cares. And why even Alabama is pushing for the award. A school that recruits lights out every single year still puts value in one of their own winning it. As bullshit as it may be. Having team and individual awards, including the most recognizable trophy in collegiate sport can do a lot for recruiting.
  22. It is easy to spew shit like that from the high ground. And his basketball analogy was dumb as hell. The SEC’s biggest advantage is how they generous they are treated in the polls after a loss. Where as all of you know it is almost impossible for a team that starts the season highly ranked to ever fall out. LSU, aggy, Auburn and Florida sort of hovered around until they picked up a win and jumped right back up into the meat of the top 25.
