  1. If you take away the long win streak, the players in the NFL, the history, and National Championships... A&M is just a better a program.
  2. If Urban does keep his job, I could see his dirty recruiting getting worse. This is a guy who basically coordinated with Zach Smith to do an interview stating he (Urban) should keep his job, and then followed that up with using Snook to report that Herman was the snitch. Heā€™ll be 10 times worse if he stays on.
  3. I heard the source could be Jimbo and his ex wife. Sheā€™s been blowing student athletes for years gathering intel on all the top coaching staffs from those students.
  4. Iā€™ve never understood why Pubes keeps with the we are victims of the evil empire in Austin. Canā€™t run to the SEC and tell everyone you run this state, then turn around and act like Texas is keeping them down. If Texas is truly keeping you down, do you know who really runs this state?
  5. Wow. That is a really bad conspiracy theory. I will say I turned it on to ESPNU to watch College football live yesterday, and every single person on that show is from the SECNetwork. It's almost like they really don't care about covering all of college football with some objectivity.
  6. I finally listened to one of Kirk Herbstreitā€™s interviews. He sure sounded like he was depressed. I canā€™t believe he said we all have to wait for judgement, and this is not the what Urban Is about. The laugher for me was his attack on twitter and message board people, when thatā€™s some of where he gets his sources for trashing schools on Gameday.
  7. The first year he wasn't, but that was with weak Big 12 players. When they started recruiting SEC players the next year they took a nose dive.
  8. Is Hamm one of the A&M CEO's that they brag about?
  9. Same here. It's a long journey, but stuff like this makes you feel good.
  10. Didnā€™t Smithā€™s ex-wife say she didnā€™t tell the other coaches wives about it until 2015.
  11. Kirk is so involved with that program it wouldnā€™t surprise me if he know what kind of trash Zach Smith was.
  12. Didn't they show Big 12 aggy games during those 12 hours, or was that Missouri.
  13. Absolutely this. I laugh when I hear aggys talk shit about LHN ( a channel that is 100% UT), and then claims SECnetwork (a channel that is maybe 5% aggy coverage, and probably more than 50% Bama coverage) is great for them.
  14. Haha. Claiming that A&M won't play the pay game is hilarious. Why the hell would someone willingly move to College Station if there wasn't money involved? The aggy ring doesn't mean jack to anyone other than other aggys, and its really only good for entry level jobs in an aggy company. So if you wanna put that ring on and earn entry level aggy money the rest of your life, knock yourself out.
  15. Enjoy the 80,000 aggy men holding each other while swaying their hips back and forth, telling each other to hump it. Not sure I could go be near that, even if it was to watch the farmers get destroyed.
  16. Jimbo looks like he's about to have a stroke. If your gonna pay for hair plugs, you should probably take care of the rest of your body also Jimbo.
  17. This whole article screams insecurity and little man syndrome. They have to keep telling everyone how great they are. Jimbo Fisher's recruiting pitch same thing that drew him to A&M ByBRIAN PERRONI SAN ANTONIO - Jimbo Fisher was in a good spot. The Florida State head coach won a national championship in 2013 and was firmly entrenched at one of the top programs in the country. In previous offseasons, he had rebuffed efforts from other schools trying to lure him away from Tallahassee. This past offseason was different, though. Texas A&M made Fisher its only target as the Aggies looked to replace Kevin Sumlin. Seminole fans as well as media members that covered the team scoffed at the idea that he would leave Florida State for Aggieland. However, that is exactly what happened. In fact, as it became increasingly obvious that he was headed to A&M, he didn't even coach the team's final game as the powers that be in Tallahassee were resigned to the fact that Fisher was leaving. Other than the money - Fisher was given a record $75 million guaranteed contract over 10 years - a lot of the national media has questioned why he would make the move. He is very familiar with the SEC, having cut his teeth at LSU and Auburn as an assistant, so it was a return to a conference that he considers the best in the country. However, there was much more that he felt Aggieland had to offer. At the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) convention, Fisher was asked about his sales pitch to recruits and how it has enabled he and his staff to have the current No. 2 class in the country. "Iā€™ll put A&M up with any university in the country," Fisher said. "That affects you personally by being there from the culture of the people ā€“ how much they love it, the way they care for people, how they treat people ā€“ thereā€™s a demeanor that everywhere you go on campusā€¦walk across the campus and I bet 10 people ask, ā€˜Can I help you?ā€™ Thereā€™s a culture about wanting to give back." Fisher also pointed out how strong of an academic institution that Texas A&M is. That is something that resonates with recruits and their parents. "Academically, whether itā€™s engineering, whether itā€™s technology, whether itā€™s agriculture, whether itā€™s veterinary school, whether itā€™s business ā€“ most universities are known for just a few majors," he said. "A&M, itā€™s everybody. Thereā€™s more CEOs of Fortune 500 companies from A&M than any school in America." Then there is the athletics side of things. Though A&M has not won a conference title in some time, the Aggies are seen as somewhat of a sleeping giant. The commitment is there from the University as well and that's something Fisher is able to show to recruits in a tangible way. "Athletically, all youā€™ve got to do is walk in and see the stadium, see the facilities, see the commitment to the importance of what you do," he said. "Most of those kids love ball more than they love everything else. You take ball and you turn it into a life and career. Itā€™s a 40-year decision, not a four one going to A&M." To cap everything off, Fisher has already discovered what it means to be a part of the Aggie Network. Most players from the state of Texas plan to stay in its borders when they graduate and, if they go to A&M, they will be set when it comes time to find a job outside of football. "That school of all schools can do it more than anybody because of the resources it has and the commitment it has," he said of A&M. "Youā€™re talking about when youā€™re done, getting that Aggie ring and being a part of that Aggie Network. I heard about it when I came. I was at Auburn, I was at Florida State, I was at LSU ā€“ I was at great universities. We tried to take care of our players when they were done as much as anywhere in the world but the resources and the network that A&M has, itā€™s utterly amazing and Iā€™ve never been around anything like it." Fisher's four-pronged approach, as well as his staff of recruiters, has certainly paid off. He has first-hand experience with them being factors that would convince somebody to go to A&M. "I think, when you put all those four things, that was one of those huge reasons that A&M attracted me," he said. 247Sports' Jeff Howe contributed to this report.
  18. Haha. Scott Woodward is probably the most arrogant AD in the nation. Keep making up stories aggy to make yourself feel better though.
  19. Agreed. One problem I see with the Big 12 is they have no representation when it comes to ESPN CFB. Most of the analyst and reporters for ESPN CFB are from either the Big 10 or SEC, and they are all homers.
  20. I do t remember Jaxon being that productive either, mainly because of poor QB play.
  21. Nice how they mention the owner and not Billy.
  22. Iā€™ve never seen a realistic article on aggy football from either of them. Brent Z maybe worse that Billy which is amazing. I remember when aggy wr coach got into it on Twitter with a recruit, and Brent went on Pawl F for an interview. He basically defended the coach up and down and said he knows the guy personally and heā€™s a great guy...yada yada. Professional people in the media report the news and let the truth fall wherever it does. Brent is not a progressional.
  23. Wife is leaving him and taking the kids. Don't care...just met Jimbo. They both look like they still shop in the boys section.
