If Wiley can grow into an OT, his ceiling would be much, much higher there than TE.  Idk why anyone wouldn’t prefer OT over TE for him, assuming he could get to OT size with good weight.

If he is our best option at Tackle, then obviously he should play Tackle.

But if we are otherwise OK at Tackle, why wouldn't anyone want a TE that is a devastating blocker who would be a challenge for just one defender to tackle?

In what world are Henry Fonda, Charlton Heston and Robert Mitchum considered b-listers?

By 1976, those three plus Glen Ford weren't A-listers.

Robert Redford, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman, Clint Eastwood were the A-listers.

  3. Good episode, except for the very ending.

After the events of that night, you don't send Beck a return to sender message for him to read on his back porch while drinking his morning coffee.

If you can get that close to him, he should never have another morning coffee.

The only way he or his brother wake up the next morning is if they have already gone to the mattresses.

    Astros team totals:

1979 - 49 home runs (Dave Kingman alone had 48 with the Cubs.  Jose Cruz led the Astros with 9.  JR and Andujar were tied in 8th place for the Astros with 2 HRs.)

1981 - 45 home runs (Schmidt led the majors with 31.  Real dead ball era)

Those were the days that when there were back-to-back games each with a HR, by any Astro,  it would be listed in the papers.

1981 was a strike year. They only played 110 games.

  5. During the dog days of August I expect Marisnick, Diaz, and Maldonado to get a lot of playing time so everyone can get some regular rest.

Then, during September, I hope it ramps up even more with call ups getting mixed in.

Let's make sure the Death Star is fully ramped up in October.

  6. I wish Morgan could have spent his entire career with the Astros.

His averages for the first 6 years with the Reds (1972-1977)

    R - 113, HR - 22, RBI - 84, SB - 60, BB - 118, BA - .302, OBP - .430, OPS - .926

Probably the best 6 year period for any 2nd Basemen except for Rogers Hornsby.

  7. Sanchez needs to talk to Nolan Ryan about the blisters issue. He used pickle brine to toughen the skin and then a surgical scalpel to shave off excess skin.

If that doesn't work, Moises Alou has some suggestions.
