  1. In any general political scale only Sanders and Warren are left of center, and not by much. Bloomberg is extreme far right since he is a Republican. Biden is essentially a Regan Republican and Klobachar is similar on the political scale. Who knows what mayor Pete is. Pete is a snake that will take whatever position he needs to get ahead.
  2. If so he is more stupid than he appears.
  3. Nobody is dropping out before super Tuesday at this point. And it is glorious because Bernie will win a majority of delegates with the rightist Democrats diluting each other's percentages.
  4. I disagree. Bernie's followers will vote for her. Ramirez with Bernie running for president is the only chance Democrats have of winning the Senate race.
  5. I can't wait for the 2024 Republican primary with Trump running against whomever.
  6. Trump is not on the ballot in the Democratic primary. He will be in the general and people we show up in numbers never seen before to vote against him.
  7. The US and Canada are doing the same thing. They are not testing unless there is in obvious link, so it will be too late when people start dying.
  8. So for the 200 million Americans who will be infected they will have $12.50 in assistance for each. And that leaves nothing for the 4 billion infected worldwide. Great planning.
  9. You say pussy like it is a bad thing. What is up with that?
  10. Someone did a study based on longevity of his specific heart condition and age. He has a 65% chance of making it through a first term and a 40% chance of making it through a second.
  11. In Texas the county judges make the call on local quarantines, then it us up to the governor when multiple county quarantines are needed. The Federal government acts as an advisor. At least that is the way it worked when I worked at DSHS and we did state drills.
  12. With the Coronavirus there could be lots of Boomer homes on the market for quick sale in a few months.
  13. I cringe whenever I see a Korean buy a puppy on the street as I imagine the worse. Some Filipinos eat cat and dog too. There are not a lot of stray cats around and the dogs are pretty scrawny. In one of Dr. John Cambell's latest videos he said it was reported to him that the situation is out of control in Tehran as well. He cited that in only one hospital 12 medical staff have tested positive. I stick by my calculations that during the initial phase, by the time there are 10 deaths, 10,000 are infected which means it is already endemic and it is almost impossible to stop an epidemic. Let Italy be an example as they went from 3 cases to 150 plus and quarantine in about 4 days. That is a likely warning time period any of us might have before being forced into quarantine. I already have 40 liters of various drinkable fluids and a month's supply of food, but I will stock up on a few more supplies in case I invite one of my girlfriends to stay with me.
  14. I recommend Dr. John Campbell's videos. He said even someone with WHO called him to thank him. I have been watching his videos for a couple weeks. As for Iran, with 8 deaths, and Dr. Campbell's sources say there are many times that, but if you believe there is 8 deaths and a CFR of ~1% there are already more than 10,000 infected. This also assumes that death typically occurs after three weeks and the total number of infections doubles every 6 days. Iran is already past the point of being able to contain it. As for me I am in day 5 of a dry cough but with no other symptoms, so far. After a sick Japanese man took a trip to Indonesia, I am still worried about someone coming to the Philippines on vacation when they are sick.
  15. If you make judgments based on what will save the economy rather than people, it is best to let it run its course like we do with the flu with only limited self-isolation and treatment of only the most severe cases. The China response does the worse possible economic damage, so it will be interesting to see how long they keep it up. In countries with limited resources and little ability to isolate people for more than a day or two at a time, it makes no sense to even try to stop it. Countries like the Philippines, Indonesia, Iran, North Korea, and India are examples of places where it is hopeless to try to stop it once 10,000 or more are infected. With a 1% CFR, death coming after 3 weeks after infection on average, and infections doubling every 6 days, by the time a country has 10 deaths they are already over 10,000 infections.
  16. It was Beto that got Texas within 215,000 votes of flipping in a midterm. If Bernie wins Texas he owes Beto a big thank you, maybe even a cabinet post kind of thank you.
  17. One study I read said 7% of voters are swing voters while over 40% are non-voters. Then 52% of non-voters lean Democratic and 12% are neutral. The easiest way to win is to get Democratic leaning and sympathetic neutral non-voters to actually vote. Convincing swing voters to change is far more difficult.
  18. Wrong. The first tier of the decision tree is are you for or against Trump. The vast majority of voters will vote straight ticket after that. Democratic turnout will be driven primarily by people who want to vote against Trump. I will add that Trump was not on the ballot and got slaughtered in 2018. He is on the ballot this time.
  19. Only if they are stupid. Elections aren't won anymore by engaging with a limited number of swing voters. Elections are won by turning out the base. Republicans know this, but corporate media cons Democrats into thinking they can win from the middle and it seldom works.
  20. The 2018 was a referendum on Trump. 2020 will be a referendum on Trump. Trump has gotten worse on the last two years. There is no basis for thinking that Republicans will gain seats. Probably in 2022, but not now.
  21. No he is not. His win will be glorious.
  22. I looked up the Sanders to Trump swing vote in 2016 for anyone who forgot. As I said they better vote the right way this time around. Sanders -> Trump voters…WI: 51kMI: 47kPA: 116kTrump win margin…WI: 22kMI: 10kPA: 44k https://www.newsweek.com/bernie-sanders-trump-2016-election-654320
  23. The number of voters in WI, MI, and PA who voted for Bernie in the primary in 2016 and Trump in the General exceeded the vote differential in each state. Those bastards better vote for Bernie this time.
  24. I prefer m = fεμ in natural units where h=1. It makes it clear that mass is a function of frequency, permittivity, and permeability which means mass is an electromagnetic phenomenon. The permittivity and permeability change depending on the local distribution of stable matter, which means the rest mass varies with location.
