  1. Stormy has announced a new book coming out October 2. I expect a few small details about her affair with Trump.
  2. That was 11 great minutes of ad time for Beto. Cruz bought counter ads in El Paso, San Antonio, Amarillo and Waco. Big spender.
  3. In my part of the world super typhoon Ompong is about to hit the east coast of Luzon island the Philippines with 160 mph winds and a 23 foot storm surge. It is going to be bad. Lucky for me I am closer to the other side of the island and the eye is supposed to go well north of me, so I will be in the dryer side of the storm. I hope.
  4. If you consider 2020 a long way off. Beto is 2 years ahead of schedule and may help some other dems win statewide office where they can prevent the worse gerrymandering. Even so the demographic shifts are happening faster than a person who does not bother to look at the real numbers would think.
  5. It is notable in that poll that 15% of Republicans plan to vote for Beto. That does not count the ones who no longer identify as Republican who could be 10% according to national polling. Since they polled 39% Republicans and 27% Democrats it is probably not very accurate.
  6. How will the secret service dress when they are protecting Trump in Rikers. At least Trump already thinks he looks good in orange.
  7. Wait until they see Beto's 3rd quarter numbers. I was guessing that he would bring in 14 million after getting 10 million last quarter but after his viral video and TV appearances he could top that by a big margin.
  8. Unless it is Ted Cruz and then he is a little bitch.
  9. It was interesting that Obama not only promoted an increase in the minimum wage, but tuition free public college and Medicare for all. He even mentioned Warren's idea of putting employees on corporate boards. The progressive agenda certainly appears to be going mainstream. I am looking forward to hearing more Obama speaches over the next couple months as a counterpoint to Trump.
  10. And he's loaned a billion or so to Trump via intermediaries.
  11. Kavanaugh's own emails say he has a "mole" who is "spying" on the Democrats. He is guilty and should be impeached.
  12. What about Beto's gun stance. Polling has shown that Texans prefer Beto's gun stance.
  13. The guy who made faces behind Trump is coming on the Don Lemon show.
  14. Cook has moved TX22 and TX24 from safe to likely due to Beto getting out the Democratic vote.
  15. Since most progressives have been polling low I really like Abrams' chances. Gillum's too. Bernie backed both of them early so those will be some important alliances going forward for the progressive movement.
  16. Thank you for proving my point. Bigotry against age-gap relationships is a separate issue as I stated before. My last three girlfriends were 22, 22, and 19 for the record and are fully developed physically.
  17. Bigotry against age-gap relationships is another.
  18. If only Trump would stop breaking the law long enough for Mueller to write his report.
  19. Collins is out in 2020 either way. She should vote her conscience if she has one.
  20. His seat is up in 2020, so he has to make up his mind at some point if he is running for Senate or president. This would be a good way to kick off his presidential campaign.
  21. There will also be a lot more minority progressives in 2020 backed by Bernie and out to primary old corporate controlled dems. They are almost all following Bernie's platform, so he will connect much better with minority voters this time around.
  22. Healthcare, a higher minimum wage, free childcare, free college, better housing, prison reform, immigration reform, pot legalization, etc... appeal to minorities and non-minorities. Oh, and in case you didn't notice a lot of progressive Democrats winning primaries are minorities.
  23. If all 3 allegations of perjury are true and Democrats have the presidency, both houses and all the proof, they can send Kavanaugh to jail in 2021. Or, offer him a slap on the wrist if he resigns.
  24. Bernie won New Hampshire by 60% last time.
  25. Bernie will win in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada to start things off. South Carolina will be the first real test to see if someone else is even in it. If someone else wins in SC we could see 2 or 3 different candidates win on Super Tuesday with Bernie favored in about half the states. If Bernie wins SC the race is essentially over at that point. Any candidate that might beat beat Bernie has to win SC and the southern Super Tuesday states. I don't see anyone yet who looks like they could win in the south.
