  1. I wonder if Trump understands that he must resign or be removed in order to get pardoned so he can avoid a federal prison sentence?
  2. Or perhaps committing election fraud in Johnson county. They still have not explained how Kobach went from losing in the county to winning after they shut down the count for 5 and a half hours.

    1. Last I saw Beto had received over 100,000 from J street. 2. J street is consolidating individual donations each below the limit. I am not aware of a donation from Soros but he is entitled to his $2700. 3. J street donors support a 2 state solution as does Beto. Beto also made statements about moving the embassy not being helpful, which were appreciated by the J street crowd. 4. Reading between the lines it appears that Cruz must be opposed to the 2 state solution.

It amazes me that Cruz is defending Alex Jones saying that he needs free speech on facebook when congress destroyed the idea of free speech on social media sites when they went after backpage. There is probably more than a million times the incidence of solititation of minors on facebook than was ever on backpage.
  5. When I went to UT tuition and fees were less than $1000 a semester. We definitely can afford to return to that level of state support plus that little extra. I dont think anyone is proposing covering cost of living, just like we dont in high school. Many people will still need to work to live while they go to school. Two proposals I have read also cut it off at family incomes if 85,000 and about 130,000 respectively. As for cost it is estimated to be 75 billion a year. Bernie wants to pay for it out of a 300 billion tax on Wall Street speculators with most of the rest going to infrastucture projects to but a million people to work. Others have proposed paying for it by rolling back the last two years of defense spending increases. I am ok with both proposals.
  6. With senators greenlighting the firing of Sessions after the election if I were in Mueller's position I would have an up to date report and a stack of indictments ready to go on election day just in case.
  7. Why is free public college so pie-in-the-sky in your mind? We already pay for K-12 and for the majority of public college costs. We already have socialized education. Paying the remaining public college costs is a small step. Bernie also wants to add pre-k, another small but important addition as we find pre-k education is much more important than thought when we formed our education system. We already have Medicare, it is not socialism. We already have public education, it is not socialism. We already have minimum wage, it is not socialism. We live in a social democratic republic, and we need to get better at the social part of that.

Yes, I lived in the 78759 and still have a valid Texas drivers license. I really want to vote for Beto and against McCaul. Thanks

I have already been through the fvap stuff and can find no way the Texas requirement for a address.

My voter registration in Texas has been suspended, which is fair in my case since I sold my house in December 2016 and started travelling the world. I do wonder if everyone who sells a house and moves within the state gets their registration suspended? As an expat I do feel that it is unfair that I am taxed and subjected to US laws but am unable to vote for federal representatives. I have considered moving back in October and staying a few months to catch up with old friends and vote. In my mind Austin is still my home and I hope to spend more time there some years.
  11. I think that all the prosecutors will be unloading any news or indictments in the next 3 weeks.
  12. One of the commentators i sometimes watch on YouTube says that he had 3 informants who say the next 3 weeks will be like this last one.
  13. That is what I recall. I also recall that Trump bought her an apartment in Trump Tower. She seemed to have done very well for herself. Google is so flooded with recent stories that I am having trouble finding any older articles. It is also possible they were removed due to legal action.
  14. This story of a child is old and there are lots of stories on it. The former housekeeper refuses to comment presumably because she has her own secrecy agreement.
  15. That is why I think the House needs to hold public hearings where everyone with immunity can lay out the crimes and the remaining criminals can be questioned under oath.
  16. In other words corporations are evil unless regulated.
  17. If I ran Twitter I would fact check all of Trumps tweets and highlight the lies.
  18. They seriously need to drop bail and offender funded probation. I had an alcoholic girlfriend who was constantly being fucked by the system. Both of these destroy people's lives and make it tough to get back to a normal life. It is also extremely racist when you look at who gets the worse end of it.
  19. Note that I meant the Trump organization tax returns.
  20. I love the fact that the N.Y. AG is going to need the Trump Foundation tax returns in order to investigate the tax fraud. I suspect that once they start pulling on that thread there will be a lot of unraveling. If we are lucky they might even be made public at some point.
  21. The two officials from the Cohen plea, executive-1 and executive-2 who approved payment on the phoney invoice are Eric and Don Jr.
  22. RayDog replied to Grandioso's topic in Cloak Room
I can hardly wait for Manafort to be questioned by the House in January. They can slot him between Cohen, Pecker and Gates up front with Stone, Kushner, Ivanka, Eric, and Don Jr to finish things off.
  23. I don't know why the media are attacking Bernie and AOC on this. The current total cost of healthcare is 3.3 trillion a year. The cost of Medicare for all using current Medicare rates is 3.1 trillion per year. In the cited study the author argues that Medicare would have to raise its reimbursement rates increasing the costs to 3.26 trillion per year. His study does not dispute the 3.1 trillion number.
  24. When the Democrats regain the Senate majority in a couple months I hope they make Warren their leader.
  25. Who in their right mind would give her a pearl necklace?
