Fine. No visors. Ever.
Next, the move better lead to winning on whatever field of play the brand is displayed upon. That's about all I got.

I'm declaring a War on some Catholic Bullshit. Since when the fuck is January 1st a Holy Day of Obligation? The Solemnity of Mary? I think she's a dynamite gal, but we need a special day called "Solemnity" in the Catholic Church? As opposed to all those other masses that are so upbeat and boisterous, we gotta be solemn this one time in Church? Anyway, wife wants the whole family to go, but I'm gonna still be hungover in San Antonio on January 1st.
War on Solemnity! Solemnity Now, Insanity Later!
I'll bet dollars to donuts it's to give the "practicing" catholics a chance to recover from their hangovers resulting from the night before.

The Alamo Bowl is not a lower tier bowl anymore. Not sure why people don't get that. It gets top choice after NY6, it has the second highest payout of any non-NY6 bowl, it has a good time slot.
Things have changed.
The fact that it's still. Called the "Alamo Bowl" instead of the "Valero Bowl" should also say something about it as well. Bowl names should be the way they were traditionally, like the Rose Bowl or the Cotton Bowl. Then the primary sponsor can be listed as 'presented by' just my opinion.

There are just enough schools to divide into a major and a mid-major division 1-A. This could be plausible by the mid majors being able to actually play for a national championship like other division levels, and for the sake of parity, each league could have a promotion and relegation clause where the last place team in the major league is replaced by the first place team from their mid-major counterparts. Bowl season can be played by any school from any conference as appropriate tie-ins are concerned. But this would free up the conferences to get more in line with having parity with regard to how many member institutions they field.

Beck seemed to do a pretty good job of shutting down every offense he's encountered. Maybe he should get a shot at DC.

Run on first, bubble screen on second, fail to convert on third, and punt on fourth that is our current system and it is reminiscent of gdgd’s worst days here
That was his offense on iit's best days as well. There were just other-worldly athletes that could make off-schedule plays despite the playbooks and play caller's ineptitude.

Do not sweat us falling to the Cheez-It Bowl. More than likely, our conference doesn't even have enough bowl eligible teams for them to even get to consider a Big XII team. There are two-long shot scenarios where we fall to the Texas Bowl. I guess it's technically possible we could fall all the way to the Liberty Bowl, but that's maybe a .5% chance of happening. If I'm you, I'd plan around CampingWorld the most at this point, with a close second being the Alamo Bowl. Distant third, but I guess worth keeping on your radar would be Texas Bowl.
As I said, I'm all set for the 28th or 31st. There are 6 bowl eligible teams in the conference and I'm not exactly sure what tie-ins there are other than the ones you mentioned plus the sugar bowl.
-
I'm not really particular about any bowl or playing any team, I just don't want to play in the cheez it bowl because I have to work that night. I tried to schedule off for wherever Texas may get selected to go bowling and over looked that one. I have the 28th and 31st scheduled off though. So hopefully we dont go to the shitass cheez it bowl.

I've seen zero tailgating. There are no crowds and few cars.
It there are 50k at kick off I'll be surprised.
Perhaps the masses will flood in last minute, but I wouldn't bet on it.
All the more reason for drive in football games.

I don't really care to get into the particulars of this - I've had an absolute shit week and as much as I would like for something positive to happen, I'm pretty convinced it's all gonna finish in the shitter.

Double D? What is this PBS and were actually watching Arthur? Fuck off?

Good thing that fg is on the board to keep this from being a total shitshow...
