That’s why I fly over England entirely.

Heathrow is the worst airport I've ever used, and I've flown into to some truly terrible airports.

After missing my - which was literally still at the gate when I got to it - I had to wait until the next flight 12 hours later. I was flying back work after my daughter was born, so money was tight. I ended up having to stay in the airport overnight. In fucking October. I wasn't planning on staying there for any length of time. I generally only fly with a carry on to expedite getting the fuck outnif the airport since all my shit is already where I'm going. So I didn't have a jacket. When they shut that shit down, they shut it the fuck down. As I was alone in the area outside the terminal, I tried to sleep but couldn't because it was too cold and I generally don't sleep when I'm traveling alone. I literally hate that airport more than words can express.

Boarding a flight at Heathrow (Surly business class of course). Expecting some decent content in 10 hours or so. Do your worst.

Fuck literally everything about that airport. When I was working overseas, I missed a connection there because I was unaware that terminal 5 has 3 goddamn buildings and my flight was departing from the third building. There are no maps or signs explaining this. Crazy Brits and their shitty designs.

  3. Given that the songs in the main trailer appears to have a correlation to the theme of each season (Thriller with the hounds of hell for season 2 and Baba O'riley with the teenage wasteland for season 3) the song for this trailer is Sweet Dreams. Thusly, if the equation holds season 4 then dreams will play a big part of the seaso arc. Drawing from Nightmare on Elm Street would possibly be at play in addition to Chernobyl.

  4. I pulled the trigger a week early on rewatching My All-American. I'm glad I did. For as much as I wish to take the place of a man such as Freddie Steinmark so that I would suffer instead of them, I'm thankful that any man such as he was ever amongst us. I don't subscribe to any afterlife, but if there is one, I would like him to be the one who welcomes me. Freddie is an inspiration to anyone fortunate enough to happen across his story. I'm so very thankful to Coach Royal for offering him to play at Texas, and Freddie for accepting that offer.

I'm not sure it's any one thing, like platform.  That's a correlation, not a causation.  I think one of the central problems is that hardly anyone except Scipio has the time to devote to it or the inclination to devote it.  And even he's gotten pulled off into a pay site and side ventures like the annual.

I'm not intending to imply that the correlation is in any way the causation. Just stating that concurrently when they moved, the quality of their work diminished.

  6. Back in 2004, there was a female in my section that was deathly afraid of camel spiders. Those little fuckers are EVERYGODDAMNWHERE in the middle east, what with all the deserts and all... Anyway. I killed one that was crawling around our area while my female battle buddy was at chow. I then proceeded to stage it in a place that she could see it. It too her probably 15 or so minutes to see the thing. When she finally did, she flew out of her seat so fast and freaked out. We had a good laugh. When I get home, I'll see if I can find the picture I took after I set up the camel spider. I have it somewhere on my computer.

Very early in its existence I thought Barking Carnival would become something like what EDSBS became.

Both of them feel like callbacks to an earlier time to me now.

I miss the old Barking Carnival. Joining SBN might've earned more coin, but the quality of their output began to wane and has never recovered.

  8. This is about the shittiest of things that can possibly happen. We are lesser without him with us. He made all of us better. He made everyone around him better. Cedric was the first Longhorn I ever liked. I fell madly in love with the University of Texas basically because of him. He is the reason I became interested in Texas. Before that I didn't really follow any team. I will miss him.
