  1. The distribution of fuel filler doors is not 50/50. And it's not even all that close. The F-150, Silverado, Ram, RAV4, CRV and Tacoma all have them on the driver side. In fact, the only vehicle in the top 10 sales list this year that doesn't have it on the driver side is the Tesla Model Y. Costco wants people to all enter on one side and all exit on one side. In order to do that, they have to have the long pump hoses. Otherwise the passenger side pumps are going to have much lower usage. That's just not efficient. So no, this is not society adjusting to idiots. The idiots are the people who don't pull into the far pump when it becomes available and instead wait and sit on their phones for 5 minutes while the person in the behind pump finishes up.

  12. it's less steps to install and then uninstall the app than to go into settings and turn on and then off notifications for uber. l a z y (if i had to log in then maybe, but it doesn't make me log in each time)
  13. I uninstall the Uber app almost immediately after every ride because of its annoying fucking notifications. I want notifications on so I know driver has been selected/is 5 minutes out/has arrived. I don't want all the other shit about buying more rides or delivering carrots or duct tape or butt plugs. And I'm too lazy to see if there's a way to turn off those other notifications while leaving the useful ones. Lyft app doesn't send me any of that shit.
