  1. Considering how far that vehicle rolled and Tiger survived, I'd say it's good advertising.
  2. I was introduced to Daft Punk in the late 90s when my best friend in high school ran away from home and discovered ecstacy. Dude came back listening to Around the World on repeat. I really started liking them when they released Discovery. Sad to see them hanging it up.
  3. Family member sent me this yesterday. This social media influencer from Austin decided to fill up her fucking 40+ gallon bathtub to soak and promote a bunch of shit once she got power and water. Even after the multiple city notices to conserve. What made it worse was that my family member called out this influencer for wasting water and the chick said she hadn't bathed in days and to unfollow her if she didn't like it. Screenshots of bath (with shower in background) and the text exchange. This kind of shit pisses me off.
  4. I'm really excited. I'll be an older first time dad at 38, but I always wanted my first child to be a girl. My wife (no pics) and I had been trying for a year and a half and every month was just heartbreak. We took the test in early November expecting another negative result and were ecstatic with the result.
  5. I've been looking for this thread. I'll be welcoming a baby girl in July. She will be my first child and I'm really looking forward to it.
  6. Yes, times the number of studentsth that need to do it. When you are asked to conserve energy because of current grid conditions, the shit adds up. Plus, no one knows if their power goes out from one hour to the next. Not to mention asking mobile hotspot bus drivers to drive in adverse conditions to neighborhoods where students live who don't have access to internet in hopes that they have electricity to do their schoolwork that is assigned by a teacher who also hopefully has electricity.
  7. It's the right thing to do. Why add increased electricity demand when we are beyond capacity in addition to many not having power to begin with.
  8. That's how we did it before the internet.
  9. I'm seeing what looks like flurries here in Buda. It's not sleet or freezing rain.
  10. To everyone, we are all Mexicans. Signed, A Mexican-American
  11. Andy Reid looks like he's wearing a feed bag.
  12. America is finally starting to feel a little greater now.
  13. I imagine Sark and CDC doing lines of coke in an office and CDC telling Sark to get the best fucking staff in the country no matter the fucking cost.
  14. I haven't followed this thread closely enough, but what's with the monkey references?
  15. We truly are a nation of idiots.
