  1. Looks fun - Imma need this…
  2. Ok, apparently we now have a second option… but of course the area of contention is resale value. I can’t convince her that we skirt such complications with a low interest lease and she can just get a new car after she trashes this one in a couple years. Drops the “I don’t want a payment…” line but is fine spending 55k in cash [emoji2357]
  3. Worth a look, thanks, but assume the storage and lack of roof AC will disqualify.
  4. Grand Highlander has it, but yeah…
  5. Wish I was there instead of Black Gold today… I’m the only customer, but they said it’s packed at dinner, and with these prices I can see why… it’s just not a BBQ spot. As Futureman noted up thread, they’re trying WAY too hard. - Turkey Taco: Good flavor but impossible to eat without a knife and fork. Would need a mouth like a nickel hooker to fit this thing in… my guess is 1/2lb of turkey. - Poblano Sausage: Cooked well but bland af - Beans: Not the preparation I was expecting, but they’re solid - Mac&Cheese: Good texture, but this is essentially shells and Alfredo, which seems odd I may come back for dinner at some point as that seem solid, but certainly not for the bbq.
  6. The wife needs a new ride with the following “essentials”: - 6 passenger - Built in sunshades - 4 Bucket seats - AC ports in roof - Hybrid (PHEV preferred) - Decent storage in rear, even with seats up That combination appears to be extremely limiting, with only the Grand Highlander fitting the bill. The XC90 is out due to price… so, if we’re trying to stay under $55k and are open to new/used, can anyone think of an alternative?
  7. Tre really choked it away last 5 mins… Bad shots, poor passing, dumb fouls and missed FTs is not a winning combo. Live by a frosh, die by a frosh.
  8. Jumped on the monkfish train… delicious!
  9. I like just going there for a drink and sitting outside. Should have done that this evening!

Sides look solid, but all the brisket pics on Google look dry af.
  11. Hopefully they can get it contained before the wind shifts hard the south this evening…
  12. Yeah, it was mighty smoky on the east side with ash raining down while we were outside… good times!
  13. The people eating had it right… not a thing to pay attention to save the food in front of them.
  14. Yeah, assumed as much
  15. He’s the embodiment of failing upwards - What an absolute fucktard.
  16. Speaking of, if I wanted to unload a few cases of high end hooch, how’s the secondary market looking these days?
  17. You do understand that the primary reason they do this is to pay themselves along the way. No course necessary, just abject greed and unfettered capitalism.
  18. Southwest dying and us finally getting rail between DAL-SA-HOU would be incredible but I’m not holding my breath.
  19. There was a massive thread on Reddit today about some Aussie’s epic Cen-Tex bbq trip, and SS ended up being his best surprise. Got a full tray of whatever he wanted at 6PM and it all smashed. No surprise here, but I’m glad SS is close and always available. Speaking of great bbq in that area, has anyone tried Black Gold yet?
  20. My wife’s mother does a chicken casserole that’s a remnant of her youth on a Midwest farm. This shit is meant to feed hungry fellas who worked in a field all day, not my desk jockey ass, but it eats great all the same. Looks like total dogshit while coming together, but satisfies deeply.
  21. No shit?! Gonna have to scout that…
  22. Ukraine should tell them to kick rocks with that deal.
