  1. I'd rather have it than not, but I don't agree that it would be huge. The Mavs have the same home and road record, and the Clips essentially do as well. I don't really see home court being a factor in this matchup.
  2. We've clinched no worse than the 5-seed, as well as the meaningless division. The only reason to keep trying to win is to try to get homecourt from the Clips, but we essentially have the same home and away records as them, so I don't see that as much of a gain. Time to rest in my opinion....except Hardaway. Play him 40 minutes the rest of the way.
  3. We are out of the play in. We are not out of a possible matchup with Denver in the first round. We either need to lock in the 5-seed, or Denver needs to clinch 2 or higher. Once either of those happens, then rest rest rest.
  4. I don't know which was the more cringing watch, the firefighters trying to work out perhaps the easiest task in TAR history, or the statue challenge where multiple racers had no idea how to orient themselves to a map. Barring taxi voodoo, the gay couple should win every leg. There is no other team in their league. On the plus side, I still have that groovy break dancing beat in my head.
  5. I'm pulling for Hunter, Charlie, and Maria, but I expect that to change as things progress, ether due to them getting eliminated or doing something that I don't like. Kenzie could easily move up, but she needs to start playing. Tiffany could also move up, but she needs to separate from Q.
  6. I'm a little glad that I can no longer ride. Not really, but this is getting ridiculous. Someone better put Pog in bubble wrap.
  7. I'm mostly just being an ass because that's what we do here. If you want to discuss the state of the baseball program in a thread discussing whether we should fire the men's basketball coach, go for it. It's not as though you will make this thread any worse.
  8. I'm saying there's a place where gutting that bigger fish is already being discussed. It's not an either/or situation. The University of Texas is perfectly capable of considering multiple coaching changes at one time.
  9. Yeah. Someone should start a baseball board with a thread to discuss that.
  10. I saw Matty was a PR scratch with only a reference to him not being 100% fit. I wonder if Visma are just being extra cautious? I wouldn't blame them, under the circumstances.
  11. Does Sepp become the GC leader for Visma?
  12. Weird episode. I have no idea why Mo was the target there. She was a threat because she was a Survivor fan and especially of Aubrey? Okay. I thought Yanu missed an opportunity to target a bigger fish by playing Siga and Nami against each other, but I guess the potential of the +1 kept Q from doing anything big. I'll be interested to see if the +1 alliance actually goes anywhere.
  13. That effectively kills any chance of a TdF threepeat. Strange year so far.
  14. As always, I hope for the best while emotionally preparing for the worst.
  15. You had better if you are going to keep reading this thread.
  16. Context matters. Everyone with any functioning brain cells understands why Terry was hired, and why it was the right thing to do. We all want the best coach possible for all of our programs, but sometimes shit happens that has to be taken into consideration. If you are looking to blame someone for the Terry hire, he lives in Mississippi, and his name rhymes with Chris Beard.
  17. You may be right. I suspect the same will be true with another loss.
  18. Your first post in this series very clearly indicates that the Mavs should start resting now. Your second post attempts to walk that back a little bit, but it still indicates that rest is called for rather than continuing to push. All you've really clarified is that you think the Mavs are safely out of the play-in games. I contend that they should continue playing hard until the possibility of a play-in game is mathematically eliminated. Once that is secured, I don't really care. I previously posted that I would like them to avoid the Clippers in the first round, but that was when LA was playing at a very high level. At this point, I'd prefer to avoid Denver more than any other top-4 seed, but if they finish above 6th, they will have already exceeded my expectations for the season.
  19. I'm not sure why you think a 2-game cushion with 8 games remaining justifies calling off the dogs. I'm fine with not trying to catch the Clippers, as both teams have the same amount of success at home and on the road. Not trying to win could easily result in us drawing Denver in the first round or falling into a play-in position. No thanks. Let's just win and protect our current seed, and if we can rest players while doing that, then do it. Once we have clinched a top 6 with no chance of a Denver match-up, then I don't care what we do.
  20. Jem, Jem, Jem. Oh well. I guess that's the first person to go this season for being a threat, though if you go home with an idol in your pocket were you actually a threat?
  21. Don't worry. She'll make back 10% of what she spent when she sells it all after it sits in the garage for the next 5 years and she needs the space for some new used shit that she'll never use. Ask me how I know.
  22. After watching the second leg last night, I was going to post the same thing. This may be the weakest group of teams ever. On the other hand, they did have to do back-to-back legs with no break in hot conditions. Who was the genius who thought a face painting challenge with a bunch of sweaty heat stroke victims was a good idea?
  23. Great. You figured out the obscure reference. Nice job.
