  1. Clearly the men's and women's teams are sharing the same FT coach.
  2. Well that sucks. I really thought DeGrom was going to win it.
  3. Venues can be reserved for multiple days well in advance just as easily as they can be for one. If they are paid enough, I suspect that the ballroom owners would be willing to be on call for months. As you said, these things are planned well in advance. You don't think they are going to build in some wiggle room in case flights get canceled, extreme weather, or some other unforeseen occurrence that impacts scheduling? I get it. You want the race to be pure with no production manipulation. I do too. I just don't believe that it is, at least not entirely. I have always believed that there are times where decisions are made mid-leg to produce or at least favor a certain outcome. I could be wrong. I understand that editing can make any team more (dis)likeable. I also understand that some teams come by those traits naturally or exhibit behaviors that make for good tv. If I'm in charge, I'm going to want to see those teams stick around as long as possible.
  4. Why not? Teams have arrived at challenges several hours, sometimes even more than a day apart, even without any production interference. Do you think those bands, dance troupes, camel wranglers, cheese makers, cat jugglers all just keep at it during that time? Is it not possible that they are capable of turning the lights on with only a little bit of notice, and are compensated to be ready to go over an extended period time? Some legs are obviously less malleable than others, especially when pre-arranged flights were in play, but I choose to believe that the production staff favors certain teams to the extent that there may be occasional shenanigans at play. If it makes any difference, it seemed a lot more heavy handed in seasons past when there were multiple NELs per race, and they always seemed to save a team I wanted gone.
  5. All they have to do is decide if the race will continue now or after a stop. They can easily have contingencies in place and make that decision during a leg if a fan favorite/evil villain is struggling early. Obviously, that decision has to be made before the first team arrives, but there is no reason it couldn't me right before they reach the mat.
  6. Fine. We can get them tickets as well.
  7. Considering the 'Boys performance, can we get him season tickets?
  8. Our schedule hasn't exactly been murderer's row, but we've certainly proven that we are capable of losing to anyone, so I'll happily take Ws where we get them. I guess having to score 120+ to win is only a problem if you aren't able to do it.

That sounds right. I wish they would vote out the "wins only count if they are blowouts" rule while they are at it.

Congrats on missing the entire Turtle Tom Herman era. We've seen flashes of "all gas no brakes," but certainly not at the consistency that we want and expect from our program. The good news is that we are winning games that we would have lost in years past. Some of that is absolutely due to the talent improvement, and Sark deserves credit for that. Unlike many of you, I think that Sark is improving on the game calling side as well. Yes, it is happening slowly and there is clearly still a lot of room for improvement, but the mistakes are fewer and not as costly. Dominating on the road, especially late in the season, is not as easy as some of you think it should be. One Top 25 road team won by double digits yesterday. One. It won't get any easier the rest of the way, but every one of you should expect that by now.
  11. These are my top three/four as well.
  12. Yes, I think that was Kaleb's intent, and we were led by the editing to believe that it might work, but I don't believe for a second that Katurah ever had any intention of going through with it. Willingly going to rocks when you have the power to avoid it would be colossally stupid. I'm not a fan of Katurah, but I don't think she is that dumb.
  13. I really thought Kaleb was going to be in it for a bit longer. At least he made the jury. They made it look like telling Katurah about Bruce's idol is what turned her to the other side, but I think that was editing bullshit. She would have been crazy to be willing to go to rocks if she could easily avoid it by voting out Kaleb. One Lulu left.
  14. "Berate" the players, not "ate" the players.
  15. Yes, but more importantly, Texas over TCU, preferably in dominating fashion.
  16. I would not say that it is assumed, but they could justify it the same way they can justify putting Oregon in front of us now. Clearly there is wiggle room for how a team is currently performing. At this point, all Texas can control is staying at one loss, and winning a little more convincingly. If those happen and we miss out on the CFP, at least we have improved enough to be in the discussion, which is more than a lot of Texas fans think is possible with Sark.
  17. That's how I felt about Richie Zisk. He was only with the White Sox* one year, but I learned to hate him that year, and never warmed to him when he was with the Rangers. *The White Sox were one of our biggest rivals back then. I still love seeing them lose.
  18. Yep. As I said, winning a championship is hard. Maybe one day, we'll get there.
  19. He certainly has his teams in a position to win one almost every year. One could argue that he should have more at this point, but I'm sure we would all be happy to live with that.
