  1. Love their attitude...essentially "if we get u-turned, we'll just suck it up and do our best."
  2. Texas - 27 BYU - 23 Attempts - 23 Yards - 201
  3. Screaming Bevo says fuck you and your opinion.
  4. With all the time they spent covering Reba drama, I was fairly certain they would end up at tribal, but nope. Finally, a non-original Lulu goes home. I expect both Kaleb and Emily to make the merge, and editing suggests that they both go far, but perhaps it only feels that way because so much attention has been devoted to Lulu to to their epic fails. I also expect Austin and Drew to survive for a while based on editing. I had not given any thought about Brando at all...and I certainly won't be doing so now.
  5. The bunting on the OF wall made me think it might be a 4th of July game, in which case, it would most likely be 1991. Kenny didn't start but did pitch in relief. https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/TEX/TEX199107040.shtml I think soda's take on the patch is correct, so 1993, but not the 4th, as we were on the road in Detroit.
  6. We need to make sure Bochy knows this. It could very well be the key to the Series.
  7. Someone tell slorch his account has been hacked.
  8. I'm hoping it's a one-off and doesn't establish a precedent. I assume rescheduling was not feasible.
  9. Hell hath frozen. https://www.espn.com/olympics/story/_/id/38740532/tour-de-france-route-goes-twice-alps-no-paris-finish
  10. Hard pass, but thanks for the offer.
  11. Gan the Rangers borrow Minute Maid for the next couple of weeks?
  12. That depends on what it is. We'll either find out or we won't. I'm sure they all pass physicals and sign releases. I'm not going to fault them if it's something obscure. If he has a metal spike sticking out of his head, then sure, they should probably catch that.
  13. They do seem to be hinting at that, but I would not call that one a casting failure, just bad luck. Casting someone with that accent was the failure. They were clearly hoping for another Boston Rob.
  14. Amazing that two of the first four people to leave quit, and another should have...and they were all put on the same tribe to start. The people in charge of casting and assigning teams need to be fired. They are clearly suffering from underdog syndrome. I keep waiting for Jeff to give a speech, but maybe he sees no redeeming value in keeping any of these people.
  15. Nice article, but I can't agree that he was always a great actor. I personally found his childhood performances to be over-the-top to the point of being grating.
  16. Not as bad as you think. North Mesquite suited up their golf team.
  17. There appear to be mostly competent teams this season, so I don't think we'll see a few dominate lake we normally do. Some minor fails, but nothing horrible yet. I was surprised to see the Asian couple struggle so much in another country where they somewhat speak the language. I was expecting them to fall back eventually, but not in Vietnam. No non-elimination legs, but the ol' "you're still racing" fake out is still in play.
  18. This isn't a list of this weekend's games. It's just a list of random "rivalries" to pass the time during the bye week.
  19. Does either team winning benefit Texas? If yes, I root for them. If there is no benefit to Texas, is there a heavy underdog? If yes, I root for them. If there is no benefit to Texas and there is not a heavy underdog, I do this: Army vs. Navy | whichever has the best uniform that year (usually Navy) Alabama vs. Auburn | least amount of historical relevance Michigan vs. Ohio State | least amount of recent success, and I generally find Ohio State fans to be way more obnoxious USC vs. Notre Dame | recent flip for me due to the Riley factor Florida vs. Georgia | Florida feels less offensive than most SEC schools Miami vs. Florida State | PTSD from 1991 Cotton Bowl is still there Cal vs. Stanford | Directors Cup impact Oregon vs. Washington | Phil Knight factor Arkansas vs. Texas A&M | I loathe Arkansas, but I would be fine with A&M losing every game in every sport forever Mississippi State vs. Ole Miss | Not sure why, but it's how it usually goes for me
  20. I'd like to see something like this: Each tribe picks someone to send to "advantage island," where the choice they each have to make is to be in charge of picking new tribe members or losing their next vote and selecting someone else from their tribe to fill that role. The three tribe choosers then do a schoolyard pick to refill their teams. Must select someone from a different tribe first. Cannot pick consecutive members from the same tribe unless last pick forces it. This at least gives the players some control instead of leaving it entirely up to luck, and should do a reasonable job of mixing the tribes, while possibly revealing or blowing up alliances.
