  1. we must live in the same neighborhood bc we have the same two options. except me. suddenlink is unavailable to me, but is available to every other house around me and was confirmed by their techs. though they couldn’t say why. we switched from uverse to directv stream a couple years ago when it was called at&t tv. didn’t save any money and lost a shit ton of channels. but they were all channels we never watched anyway. what we did gain was the ability to watch live tv on all 6 of our tvs thru the appletv apps. before, we only had uverse boxes on two tvs. besides the occasional app freeze, we haven’t had any issues. being able to watch on my phone or ipad from wherever else is nice too.
  2. my 15 yr old currently takes stelara to treat crohn’s. she takes one injection every two weeks. insurance is billed (and pays) $30K PER PRE-FILLED SYRINGE. i pay exactly $30 copay for this. it keeps me up at night thinking i can only carry her on my insurance for a little over 10 more years.
  3. literally same for me, wore out fifa 22 and needed something else. decided to revisit rdr2. since i loaded it fresh into the ps5, i purposely turned off the network so the patches wouldn’t load and i could finish herbalist 9 as arthur like @Baboontyme mentioned a couple years ago lol. total pain in the ass but i just finished it and got the legends of the east outfit. now arthur is virtually indestructible with full cores. also grabbed all the badass horses from the saint denis stable glitch and immediately patched the game bc not having fast travel from campsites was a beating. i will say load times are much more tolerable on the ps5 too. game is just as great second time thru.
  4. some of those who work forces gets quoted around here quite a bit. more often than not, when i read these cr threads i hear zack saying the structure is set you’ll never change it with a ballot pull. he was right 25 years ago and he’s right today.
  5. is irrigation part of that? we paid $3.5k to repair irrigation and resod after the pool build a couple summers ago. i don’t recall how many pallets it took and the pool builder regraded the backyard. i’m actually ready to blow it all up and start from scratch with something other than bermuda due to shade. zoysia maybe?

    USMNT 2022

the diversity of the names used is what really impressed me i was thinking about something and i need you all to tell me if i’m dumb, a genius, or both before i go pitch this to jeff bezos or mark cuban. if we consolidated the usmnt starting 11 onto a single epl team, how long, if at all, would it take for the team to be a contender? then, would a prolonged period of playing together like this be enough to propel us to the top class of international teams?
  7. only 16 hours til the next one Wordle 203 3/6 🟨🟨⬛🟨⬛ ⬛🟨🟩🟨🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  8. was looking primarily at samsungs with one connect bc i want that clean install with a tv stand where i don’t need to strategically hide shit tons of wires. but i realized our lg partner site thru work has 77” C1 @ $2k right now that has me thinking of going in that direction. my living room is wide open with eleventy billion windows so i’m somewhat concerned about glare. though i did have a plasma in this room before and it was ok. i’ve also only ever had samsung tvs so familiarity is probably influencing me more than it should. @Dutchrudderhow does your qled compare to your oled?
  9. i’m really interested in these one connect boxes. is it one cable that supplies both power and all the hdmi inputs to the tv? would love to replace the giant recessed receptacle off the wall in favor of a much cleaner looking install for something like this.
  10. yes. people with ar15’s are the only ones who have the right to feel threatened.
  11. i, for one, am glad that this kid had his illegally obtained assault rifle handy so he could legally shoot some people while engaging in the illegal act of vigilantism. wait, what?
  12. not sure why anybody continues to engage with sack. it doesn’t matter what you say, as long as the deaths are not on his team, it is justified.
  13. ours is also on a concrete base here in derkaville
  14. upfront cost of a swg is much more than an auto feed tablet chlorinator. probably ends up being a wash in the long run on actual savings between the two systems. i’d much rather drain/refill my pool every 5 years than replace damaged patio furniture or risk damage to my travertine. it does happen despite whatever tfp says. that said, i use liquid chlorine in mines and have zero issues with the 5 min per day maintenance that requires.
  15. a couple weeks ago, a contractor came by to restain my fence and thought it was a good idea to set his gas powered pressure washer directly on my lawn for a few hours. the end result is a nice big yellow spot. is this too far gone to save?
  16. hang in there, sir. this shit hit 4 of the 6 in casa dirt week before last. all 4 had minimal symptoms thankfully. pfisd started school on a thursday. 10yr old stepdaughter tested positive the following wednesday after showing symptoms the evening before. wife (j&j vax) tested positive that thursday, 5yr old daughter tested positive that saturday. 14yr old stepson (pfizer 1&2) tested positive this past thursday. the two girls didn’t have symptoms beyond 2 days and what they did have were mild fever and scratchy throat. the boy had zero symptoms. my wife also had mild symptoms but also lost her sense of smell/taste, which has yet to return. me and my immunocompromised 14yr old daughter were spared.
  17. wasn’t about to end my 20 yr streak of opening weekend viewing. no fucks given. goddamn they all look old af now. lots of nice little nods to paul walker throughout too. nice touch in between space flights and shit.
  18. at this point i’d kill for 90 degree temps. according to the aqualink app, mines is hitting mid 90s by 3p. also direct sun all day. got one of those pvc fountain things coming today. also changed the pump schedule to run 4 hours overnight and then 5 hours during the day. hoping that circulating the water when it’s “cooler” will help. fuuuuuck.
  19. the man said july. who am i to argue.
