  1. Nah, that's what's different about the SEC. Little schools like Baylor, TCU, UH, etc hated Texas. These little schools hate the Alabamas, Georgias, etc of their world. They may grow to hate us but it ain't there yet. We shouldn't take the game for granted because while college football isn't quite the NFL and "Any Given Sunday" things are trending that way...
  2. It's coming. Trump knows for sure at this point he can't be alive and not have the protection of being POTUS. I guess we could always go down the stupid self-pardon route, but maintaining power is probably a cleaner way to do it in his mind.
  3. Marcel Dareus washed out of the league in 2019, so you're good.
  4. Same here. I mean have had people in seats at various events a few times before, but what you describe has always done the trick. That said, I'm a 6'6" dude who isn't really interested in fighting, but they don't know that. That said, there are more and more people in society who think they can manifest shit just by saying it out into the world, so maybe it does happen.
  5. I think what a lot of folks are saying is that everything you are describing is happening, and the people in said seats are then basically saying with words or actions, "yea, great I ain't moving". There sure as fuck is an argument to be had if that goes down.
  6. Hard to cover much better than that, that was grown ass man throw and catch
  7. A lot of the buildings on the State Fair grounds have historical designation so knocking them down isn't quite as simple as wanting to and paying for it. Also, it has never been hard getting into the Cotton Bowl an hour+ before kick off.
  8. Oh yea the out of town scores. Forgot about that one. I mean I don't really give a shit about the sound system because I don't need to hear their bullshit, but I would have liked to have known if Alabama had hung on to beat Mizzou before 6:15pm and since I sure as shit wasn't getting any updates on my phone a score run wouldn't have killed them.
  9. The problem with all these solutions is unlike other venues this place hosts basically one big sporting event each year. Just like you will generally find the absolute best help at an MLB game, because those people are regular workers for at least 81 games a year, you will find the exact opposite from people with a "one Saturday in October" gig. Ain't nobody paying for a bunch of Karens.
  10. Throw up the X
  11. Dan Campbell is one wild ass decision maker.
  12. Here we go
  13. Damn...video of that crash
  14. Ok old man. I’m sure the NFL will take it hnder advisement.
  15. I mean, this is a lot of words for a league that doesn't really seem to have a problem generating game-ending excitement. The phrase "The Witching Hour" hasn't gotten associated with the NFL just because Scott Hanson spoke it into existence.
  16. Lower integrity than this? Another move he also waived off as being "misunderstood"
  17. Germans couldn't handle any more of his bullshit.
  18. Burnt, you haven't ventured into the Red Zone in two seasons against us bro. It was a 3 score game, not a one score game.
  19. There is TV, and there is also the ancillary benefit of player safety. Most studies have shown the most effective player safety thing you can implement isn't stuff like the bullshit college targeting rule, it's limiting the number of snaps over the course of a season. It's still mostly TV, though.
  20. Counterpoint: Peter the Great. Grew up in Dallas and started going in late 80s as a teen. Started pretty strong. Was actually still ahead coming off the Mack years. Believe I am now something like 18-20-1.
  21. Took a post-victory ride on The Crazy Mouse before heading home. What occurred to me about the ride today? It was 10 tickets. 6 of us rode it. That’s 60 fucking dollars for The Crazy Mouse. Worth it for a "don't care Beat OU" victory ride, but how the hell does a family roll to the Fair and blow 30-60 dollars, depending on how many kids they have, on The Crazy Mouse?
  22. Yep PSU has been to the tournament TEN times total in their entire basketball history. Texas, not exactly known as a basketball school, has been to the tournament 10 times since 2012.
