If this holds I'm very much going to enjoy watching Brian Kelly begin the "I'm coaching for my job" bit against aggy next weekend.

Week 7 2025: Texas at Kentucky
Wait, is your position that Texas fans are responsible for propping up ticket prices to a KY home game the week after OU and 1000 miles away from Austin? And Vandy is an 11am game in a 100K+ seat stadium, the morning after Halloween 2 weeks from now.

KY is a basketball school even when their football team is good. Their football team sucks.

Ah yes, The Bible...a book that bound together oral tales whose main premise (particularly the OT) was to get people under control.

Pavia's superpower is his movement in the pocket, particularly his ability to laterally shift, keep his eyes upfield etc. He's not that fast, and he isn't that strong armed but he is elusive as hell.

Trump’s America
Here's the thing that there is really no getting around. When millions of people across the country are going out on their Saturday specifically to protest against the idea of "your Presidency," you're a shitty leader. We've had plenty of protests over the last century for concepts like Women's Rights, Civil Rights, protests against wars like Vietnam, etc. Yes, of course, tangentially, they often were targeting those in power. Have we ever had mass protests like this in the last century where the basic concept is "everything about you sucks"

- Whistleblower alleges Dallas kidney transplant programs favored wealthy patients
Not kidneys, but I have a kid who graduated from Texas in May and is now a CICU nurse at Children's in Dallas, which is adjacent to Parkland and UTSW (Children's at present doesn't do deliveries, so a lot of their patients come from one of those two places). We haven't talked specifically about the concept of transplants, but she has obviously had patients who are/are not on a list for a new heart. She might have a patient who could use a new heart, but they have way too many other issues to be a candidate. Sometimes that could be a product of bad luck. Other times, as has previously been pointed out, it could be a product of the ability of the family to care for the patient when they are home, etc, which then precipitated the other issues that no longer make a patient viable to be a transplant candidate. She may have a patient where a series of procedures worked...until they didn't (like the teenager she had the other day, who had hypoplastic left heart syndrome, went through all the procedures from birth to 5, everything was fine for a decade, and now it isn't, so a decade of potentially being on a list was lost) I imagine at some point, when trying to address the problem of "what other issues does this candidate have that could make this heart transplant unsuccessful," that biases creep in. While there are certainly miles of objective criteria in medicine, the uncomfortable part for all of us is that there is a dose of subjectivity and intuition there as well...otherwise medical personnel would DO medicine, not PRACTICE medicine. And by the way, while this topic is about transplants, the same thing goes on when it comes to curative/palliative procedures. Not sure how we fix it.- New GOP Congressman's entire resume is faked
I mean, let's be honest, this kind of shit has been done before. Just nobody has ever been such an assface as actually to throw said cold water in your face.- Shohei Ohtani

Eh, if we are going to make the playoffs we probably need to win out the regular season. Either ending with two losses and losing out on some tiebreaker for the SECCG or going to the SECCG, in which case as long as it is a respectable game I don't think the loser of that one is ever getting bounced. I'm not sure at this point worrying about what others do is worth the time.- 2025 Random Games thread
Because everybody knows they're not. Playoffs sure, maybe...title, absolutely not.- 2025 Random Games thread
